    You might have seen my Gumotex Twist 2 review video • Gumotex Twist 2 Inflat...
    This is the first outing my initial review was based on. I took it for a short paddle on the River Derwent launching from The Breighton Ferry.

      All being well, March time. And if not then probably June. Whereabouts are you based?

    Another great video Karl. Nice little kayak, looks like it went along quite well. Beautiful stretch of river even on a grey day, that's the best thing about being on the water 🙏
    Just wondering what you do as it gets colder. Do you ever wear a wet suit? I've never fallen in but I'm still very new to kayaking but don't want to just be a "fair weather kayaker" 😂

      Hi Claire 😁
      I'm glad you liked the video.
      It's funny you should mention colder kayaking. In my kayaking playlist, the first one this year where I ask ' Where do you drink your coffee?' was really the first time I've gone out in colder weather. I plan to continue throughout the winter, the exceptions being extreme weather and icy conditions. I also mostly stuck to Selby canal - it's shallower than a river and less risky. Basically I wore warm clothing plus waterproof leggings so my legs didn't get splashed, wet and cold. It worked well 👍😁

    How does it compare to the Freein boat? I just bought a 2 man Freein (thanks for the video on that) to give me another option to my Advanced Frame so it would be nice to know how they stack up together.

      Nitrilion, the fabric Gumotex boats are made of is really tough compared to anything else out there. The Twist doesn't have a DS floor and I did find that it didn't track brilliantly when tandem paddling. The Twist is a great boat and will likely outlive most other brands, but the Freein is exceptional value! 😁

      Not sure, it's not something I've looked into. In all my boats I use the same setup - a camping seat with an orthopaedic cushion 👍😊

    Loved the video, I'm just about to by the Twist 1 it's about the only weight I can manage on my own 9kgs! We have the Twist 2 which we're happy with. Have you any comments about the Twist 1 please Karl?

    • @MoreThanJustaCleaner
      @MoreThanJustaCleaner  2 роки тому +1

      I've never tried the 1. It's likely to be a little more nimble on the water and if it's anything like the 2 the seat will be a bit shit

    Maybe they will let u fly the helicopter? Seems like some kayaks ride lower or higher in the water. How do those variances affect handling and speed ? If they let u fly the copter will u please video it for our amusement? 😂 Sorry for your countries loss today violence against politicians only leads to bad things . I have a feeling we will c a lot of that here.

    • @MoreThanJustaCleaner
      @MoreThanJustaCleaner  2 роки тому

      I wouldn't trust myself flying a helicopter, maybe just a test flight first ay 😁
      Yes you're right, some kayaks sit deeper into the water while others sit more on it. In terms of the effects, it can have an impact on stability and drag coefficiency 👍
