I've been out a couple of times recently in dank, wet weather. I've had to pack the boat away wet, muddy and covered in weed. Thankfully, this boat is so easy to clean up.

You made it look easy, but there is a trick, you as you’re a professional! For most of us it will be a struggle :)

Whilst I appreciate the 'professional' compliment, I am far from that! Unless you meant as a cleaner, then of course it's true. However, as a kayaker I still consider myself a noob, still very much testing things out and learning through experience 👍😀

Looks a good routine👍 I guess if you let grit accumulate it will do damage over time?

That's a good point, especially in the folds. It's not a common problem though, at least not one I've experienced. This was more about it having been packed away wet. If you're going to get it out to dry it off you might as well clean it first :)
I noticed on one of the FB groups a chap doing 200+ wild camps following the Wainwright route (I think)... Anyway, he camped on Pike O'Blisco and it made me think of you :D

@@MoreThanJustaCleaner Glad I wasn't camping up there that particular day! 😁

You would want to see me cleaning my kayak. So funny same time dangerous. It’s inflatable, CLOSED deck. With a piece of cloth I have to dive in fully through the cocpit into the bow (front) and then if I have strength to get out I will rest and jump in again to clean stern (rear). Kayak is 48cm wide it’s tight inside, no oxygen there. I’ll fit in with only one arm extended, no moving or rolling around. Sometimes I get stuck but key is not to panic or I will run out of oxygen . Other day when I was inside the kayak cleaning, my trousers rear zip got jammed in valve cap string. Very lucky, 1 million in 1 chance it to happen and it did. I could not get out. With my one arm fully extended in front I did not have much chance to understand why I can’t get out. For 5 minutes (felt like a lifetime) using one hand I tried to release zip but it didn’t work. Could breathe about 50% and was thinking it would be a funny scene for paramedics to see. Funny way to go, doing what you love haha. Next time I’ll bring mobile phone and a pocket knife inside.

@@MoreThanJustaCleaner I’m not OK, I have mental trauma from closed spaces now :). And every time I approach my kayak, I look at it with suspicion. Never know when it’s going to eat you again : )

I am guessing that a pretty similar routine would apply for any inflatable fan....I mean kayak
