I feel so bad for the kid. Having Michael Schumacher as your father and not being able to get advice from him and see how proud he would be. It bums me out every time I think about it.
Micheal is still alive, right? The public just doesn't get any news about him. My guess would be that he does still see and speaks with his father tho

If I van try to make you less sad, you can see that people in F1 like him a lot. Not because of his name, as that would not stand for the likes of Vettel and Kimi. It's clear that he has a very strong character and that he has talent. As the video shows and we've seen before, he has Mika, Seb, Kimi, probably the whole of Ferrari and many others that respect him deeply and can somewhat share the time and experience they themselves had with Michael.
According to family friends, Michael is well aware how Mick's career is going and even watches the races. I'm sure he'll have his way to show his son how proud he is of him.
This is a blessing in disguise....

Just like his father, he knows exactly who he has to thank for the victories. This modesty was already a big part of Michael's success because he was able to transfer this mentality to the whole team.

And now, after a long uncompetitive season in a tractor, and after a few reliability issues and driver mistakes, he finally took his first points in F1. P8 at Silverstone and P6 at Spielberg. Michael has to be so incredibly proud
since Michael cannot be there to fully support and advice him, he got other "dads" swarming over him, guiding him, supporting him, in honor of Michael :')
Most notably Sebastian Vettel! Remember, Schumacher senior was Vettel’s mentor back in the day!
Vettel, Raikonnen, Hakinnen, Uncle Schumacher, probably all of the senior management for Ferrari, Alonso maybe?

I honestly don't expect too much from him in his first year in F1, it's the second one which we should be scared of
hes still going to be driving a haas in his second year. until he is in a midfield team he won't ever have the chances of even a podium
@@Teehe98 Don’t discount haas in 2022. They may be in the midfield because they are spending all their time on the new regulations.
He normally takes a couple years to get use to his car, so maybe 2023. 2022 is a new car and I can see him needing a year to learn that

Everytime I hear the Schumacher name, it gives me goosebumps.

What do you mean you've never seen Michael race? Where were u 2010 2011 2012? Before his retirement makes sense, but if you werent alive for 10, 11 and 12 then you arent old enough for UA-cam.

The only shadow I believe is Ferrari. If he can win with Ferrari, which I doubt, or go to a top running team. He’ll win just because he wants to. He’s a Schumacher ✊✊
I don't think he will stay in his fathers shadow. I hope that he can get the Schumacher's name back to the top step of the podium. Haas debut will be tough for him, but I hope he will prove himself to get a better seat in 2021
I saw a video of him at the seat fitting and he was sounding so professional and focused already. I seriously hope he has a long and successful career in the sport even though I felt that Alfa Romeo would've made a lot more sense for him. He would have replaced Antonio who is still being matched in pace by Kimi who would have made a great mentor having the most GP starts and also having raced against Schumacher senior. That would've allowed Magnussen to stick with Haas and try to keep Mazepin in line.
@@cr24sh fingers crossed he can get a mid season transfer to a better car if another driver is under performing. My money is on Giovinazzi, Alonso or Latifi leaving before the end of the year lol.

I feel the omission of his podium streak in 2020 was a sorely missed point that really helped his F2 campaign, insane consistency during that period

Man I really had to hold my tears back while I was watching this video. All the emotions were just overwhelming. I really wish him all the best and a great year. He is such a nice and humble guy. Hopefully he will beat his teammate but I have no doubt.

I was a Schumacher fan since i was a little kid. After Michael ended his carrer, i got kind of lost only to get caught up by Vettel and had a great time. I went with him through everything at ferrari and now there's another Schumacher back in f1 and i couldn' be more happy about that. I wish him all the best.
I feel for this kid so much, I can't even put words on it. I don't know how he manages to carry on. He must be thinking of his father every time he gets in his car. I know I could not bear all these thoughts myself.
I don't care if I personally never hear or see Michael again out in the wild (as long as he is well, that is), and I'll certainly never cross Mick's path, let alone entertain a conversation long enough to ask this, but I would be at peace knowing he's at least able to communicate and share his experiences with his father. To be "locked out" from that chemistry must be devastating. He's his idol, he would know exactly how his son feels, and would be so proud of him that nothing could stop him from smiling... I guess this is proof that money and fame doesn't buy you happiness. His family is worth over 500 million dollars and his name is known worldwide, yet I'm convinced they would give it all away to spend a few minutes with him fully "there". It breaks my heart.

I’m a huge fan of his Fathers. As I know many people are. It’s great that his Son is coming into this world that his father made so special for so many. This will bring my interest back into F1. Now if they would stop messing with the cars, Pits and rules the sport may become awesome again.

Alonso started in a Minardi which was 3+ seconds slower than the front runners, so not having competitive machinery in his debut season doesn't mean anything.
With such a teammate...
Would've much preferred him at alfa, learning under Kimi and probably having a slightly more competitive car. However I'd trust Gunther to take time to help him when he's not shouting at Mazepin for the 4th social media gaffe of the week.
Watched that video with tears in my eyes, both because im happy and sad at the same time.

Thousands of thoughts must go through his head when he makes a mistake, one day he will be champion, regardless of whether it was because of his last name or not, things would be somewhat different if what happened with Michael had not happened
The boy is indeed ready. He will prove himself as worthy of his name and of its legacy. He has been carrying a heavy burden, living in the shadow of his father. Now it is up to him to do his best. We'll be watching on his career with great interest. I trust he will turn out to be remarkable. Let him talk by racing.

He is like a real son or brother to all tifosis. We will like him as much as we liked his father. To be a Ferrari driver is his destiny and one day he will surely drive the red car. And the day he wins a race and make us listen to the Italian and German national anthem combo we all will try to hide some tears.
I've got something in my eye at the moment.
Have to admit that I was quite critical about him, even after the F2 title. But now I'm really looking forward to see what he can do in F1!

@@syedkazmi7777 Well you know Michael hit a tree while skiing in Switzerland and was in a coma for ages. Obviousley hes not back to normal, otherwise you would see him on F1 commentry or at F1 races. Poor guy. Survives a career racing 300kph, but goes skiing one day, and its a living nightmare!
