Ancient castles, destroyed or survived, have a special spark of magic - the magic of history that attracts - one wants to know what could have happened here! 🌳🌳🏰🌳🌳
Such a great nature of Finlarig Castle, Scotland. Fantastic place for exploring indeed! There are so many hidden gems in this part of the world! Perfect video. I'm looking forward to your next work, my good friend.

This was a cool hidden castle Cara 😊 I loved that it was surrounded by greenery and the plants were taken over. Even though I know it’s a shame it’s in ruins.
That was a very interesting explore. The old castle looks amazing and I am always fascinated by how nature can reclaim its space one we humans have left. 😊👍
Cool looking castle Abandoned & Overgrown must have been quite a place years ago . What a shame it's left to decay. Thanks for showing us around Open Minded Wonderer 👍
Fascinating old castle, Cara, great video. The Campbell Clan weren't a popular family in Scotland - plenty of Scots still hold a grudge today. Bruce Fummey's Scotland History Tours has done some fantastic videos on the subject - a channel worth a watch.
Cool video! Interesting that you felt as though you were watched. A lane near me called Baker Boy Lane is supposed to be haunted by the spirit of a boy murdered in the 1700s. Didnt know that was the case until I got home and looked it up. Felt very strange.
I just love those broken and crumbling walls, the stones and the stories they could tell. Listening to you, I can well believe a lot of sadness dwells here. Amazing though in such a beautiful setting. Sort of contrary. This is the last video I'll watch this evening, what a lovely "after taste". It will linger a while. Thanks Cara. Fabulous as always. 👌🇳🇱🙋♀🥝
Very much enjoyed your visit to Finlarig castle, even ruinous, but love the Scottish history surrounding the Campbell clan and their legacy here. Such awesome photo's and footage, very much enjoyed a wander here with you! Enjoyed the folklore around the beheading pit! grim and grisly, but so interesting! Really pretty pictures that you shared, I enjoyed listening to the potential spooky happenings too! thank you so much for sharing Cara, wishing you a wonderful week! x
It’s a wonderful place, really enjoyed visiting this lesser known one, even though there was a spooky feeling while walking around 😊 thanks for watching
Ey up me duck. Another one I'd love to do a camp at. All that greenery makes this place look very magical and certainly very picturesque. Great video as always 🙂👍
What an interesting castle tour. The surroundings and views are beautiful and of course were necessary back in the day. Your narrative provides a good understanding of the history and significance here. The hanging tree Eerie indeed. Thanks for sharing 🏰🥰🥰💯💯
Hi Cara, the castle looked so picturesque in its beautiful setting. Oh my, it also has a dark history. The Mausoleum looked so intriguing. This was a fascinating video. I really enjoyed learning about the castle and seeing the lovely scenery. Very cool 👍😎
Nice castle remains and surrounding gardens and so many historic stories told beautifully! You make these places come to life! Thanks Cara have a great week ahead 👍❤️
Incredibly interesting and it looks a fascinating ruin. It certainly commands a presence! Those two graves look very out of place and I wonder who keeps them clean and tidy. A lovely visit. Thanks Cara 🧸 🐻
What a wonderful hidden castle Love how nature has taken it back (shame it's a ruin ) Thanks for all the interesting facts and info Hope you're having a good week ❤
I wonder would the ruins take on a different air in full sunshine? I too felt something melancholy about the place. You were brave to keep going round when you got your spooky feelings. It looked medieval but you said it was later and even the much later mausoleum was in ruins. Was there birdsong I wonder?-I always think of that as indicative of a troubled place. Thanks Cara for showing us round.
There was no bird song, completely quiet, apart me and the guide. I guess it would feel different in sunlight. But since then I have heard other people say they didn’t like it there and didn’t stay long. If I had been on my own, I wouldn’t have stayed. 😊
i have some upcoming travel, so wanted to make sure i caught this before i hid from the internet for a week+. castles have always fascinated me. have a great week, cara! 🛴❤

It’s a horrible feeling, I think if I had been on my own I wouldn’t have stayed as long as I did. 😏

It is a shame its in ruin but think it helps with spooky stories of the area. Thanks for watching
Heard of this castle but never been, must have passed it dozens of times while driving through killin, look foreward to the video.
its a brilliant but somewhat spooky place
