This was incredibly helpful. I sincerely appreciate you posting this. I am moving to NYC next year to follow my lifelong dream of acting. I have received passionate admiration for my performances as an actor in the past, but it was not until just recently that I made the conscious decision to apply for Juilliard. I'm very interested in learning more through your perspective. After Juilliard, how did you go about booking shows for yourself, as an actor?

Jeanelle Sablan I’m glad you’re having some positive experiences in acting and want to build on that! After Juilliard (or any drama school), there are so many ways to book work as a professional so it’s not as straightforward as the process of getting into drama school. For that reason, How To Get Into Drama School doesn’t focus on career guidance. We just focus on helping those actors who are committed to getting into drama school and want the best results possible. That being said, email me and we can always talk about these topics further if you want my perspective. I look forward to hearing from you!! Anthony@howtogetintodramaschool.com

Justyna K That is a very valid concern. Are you looking at BFA, MFA, or BA programs? That makes a difference. Also, in-state schools will be less than out of state schools. And lastly, how much govt financial aid you’re available for. All these factors and more will contribute to reducing your bottom line cost. If you wanna talk more, don’t hesitate to reach out. We can hash it out and find the best solution for your situation. Anthony@howtogetintodramaschool.com
I will say - going to a top drama school is worth the money, in many ways.
