Imagine Gordon Ramsay making cereal. "Milk in. Give it a nice whisk, you need that creamy-ness. Cornflakes, IN because THAT'll give em a nice crunch"
AwSooooEpic make sure you leave some corn flakes on top because no one likes a soggy cereal
Luis Maier funniest comment I've read all year
Milk and cereals. Done!!!
you forgot to add a touch of butter, he adds a touch of butter to everything
This is kak funny Oh My

Gordon: "Just a drizzle of Olive oil"
The Olive oil bottle: *glu glu glu glu glu glu glu*
jajajajaja!!
@@bhs3871 no one laughs like that
Ja ja ja ja ja
Jaiajajakjakakajajajajajajajaj
but it was a drizzle, the bottle's top make it sound like a lot is coming out but its really not.
Turn the gas off “flames roaring up the side up the pan”
Shot504 haha Touché he didn’t say anything about the flame
I was about to comment this! Come on Gordon!
Cooking with Sonny I started thinking at this very moment maybe due to filming reasons he had to turn it back on like when you catch a mistake in a movie like one moment their left eye is bruised and the next day they forget picked up where they left off and now the right eye is bruised haha of course here it’s all done in the same day but maybe something of the same situation I don’t know never cooked on camera before just a though
Tuddle well this is my area of expertise and I say he turned off the flame way to early and the butter wasn’t foaming properly so he turned it back on and it just made it in as a mistake.
Cooking with Sonny oh got it yeah I see you’re pretty good haha I’ll be watching you I like all cooking and eating channels
I bet Gordon finishes his coffee with a touch of butter.
thats actually a good move
bulletproof coffee, clearly you don't know ketogenic diet..
BUTTAH
i bet he finishes is wife with a touch of butter.
😂😂😂
"Literally, out." I'd be fascinated to see how you take it out of the pan figuratively.
He does overuse that word.
His literal misuse of that word is literally annoying.
@@drew8393 I don't know, seems right to me. He did do what he literally said he'd do.
Trivia:
A human body contains 60% of water.
Gordon:
I’m 30% olive oil and 30% butter.
It's wotah and buttah
Thats why you need to use a hot pan, to sautee out all that water. Theres a big flavor difference in boiled vs sauteed human
"Turn the gas off..."
*Gas is literally still on in the next shot, as he's basting the steak with butter.
"Open that up, see how pink that is."
Heh.
Znapaznarf this comment deserves more likes
lel, thought the same
Good thing the daughter wasn't in this one

1:21 for people who don’t wanna search for it
Just tried this. Notes:
I made my rub with chipotle, paprika, salt, finely ground coffee, and coconut palm sugar (the least refined sugar I had on hand). The sear takes some of the spice out, so I wouldn't be afraid to make the rub with some kick. No need for black pepper in the rub.
I used Yukon gold potatoes, quartered lengthwise. That worked ok. I didn't blanch mine quite enough, which meant more time in the pan, which meant the steak was waiting a bit too long, so be sure to start this whole process by blanching your potatoes until they are almost done cooking so they don't need much sear time. That is the biggest timing variable, as long as you've prepped all your ingredients before you start the steaks in the pan.
I don't know where you get thyme flowers, so I just used fresh thyme leaves in the mushrooms and it was great.
I cooked three steaks. I used two portabello caps and a pack of mixed mushrooms from the refrigerated mushroom section at my grocery store. That was barely enough, so I'd probably do a bit more next time. The trick is to get them all to fit in the pan(s) at the beginning before they've cooked down a bit. Keep the pan hot and they cook down quickly.
The steaks were amazing without any sauce.
If anything, at least the way I did it, the bold flavor of the rub overwhelmed the more delicate flavor of the mushrooms a bit, but honestly I think the answer is just more mushrooms so you don't have to eat them sparingly.
Neat-o
0:16 "First off," *plop
Ventace I lost it at that part
XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
LMAO!!! X'D
Meaty whack, both chuckle
I had to watch this just to laugh and appreciate how funny this is
Touch of salt
Drains the ocean
When does he add salt?
literally to everything, you can see it in all the elements of the dish and if he didnt the meat and potatoes would be bland and its difficult to get the water out of the mushrooms without it
touch of taste
and garlic! Making strip steak tomorrow so will basically do this mmm
😂😂😂😂

@Ridiculed Victor nah man you are not supposed to know everything, just don't be rude to people :)
@Ridiculed Victor also not a stalker, just a bored guy that watched a video about gordon responding to tweets, that answer you gave me just proves my point of you being just a rude childish person... Have a nice day mate!
Our Gordon truly is the worlds best chef. Came from humble and hard beginnings too. Deserves it.
This is literally one of the most delicious looking meals I have seen on the internet.

Giant presentation for relatively simple dish. Very effective. Delicious.
Loving the uses of the resting juices and leftover pan sauce. Mouth watering.
Thank you so much Chef for doing these videos. Being able to watch you cook is like a poor man's culinary class. For those of us who already have a decent base on which to build, your videos are incredibly helpful and inspiring. The ingredients come alive for me when seen through your eyes. Fresh, healthy, vibrantly colored, flavorful food is something that we could all use more of. You could have easily released these videos on a subscription or pay-per-video basis, but instead you chose to share your talent with the world. I truly thank you for that...
Keep up your cooking man :>
David This steak is a lot but not healthy lol
What is the spice rub does he use
@@spencertrueman865 Coffee and chipotle.. Rewatch the start of the vid when he was explaining about the steak to get a bit more detail😁
@@harris4688 yeah but but what kind of coffee does he use and although mine was excellent the spice rub still did not look the same
lol 1:21 he says gas off and in the next shot it's on
yeah im confused as fuck
btw. he contradicts himself by sauteeing the mushrooms first before the shallots in his previous videos?
mushrooms first cuz they take longer to cook, so shallots and garlic later to prevent burning
I think he means lower the gas. When you put the butter in, you don't want the pan to be flaming hot because it'll burn the butter and you lose the nutty notes. It becomes brown butter at that point. The shallots and garlic have been finely diced, so you don't want to put the garlic and shallots first. He said sauteed the mushrooms first.
if you know nothing stfu
Jove Jove he does it the other way in other videos yes with finely chopped shallots first
I made this meal on my new cast iron tonight and it was amazing! Thanks Gordon!
That looks LITERALLY delicious!
He said @ 1:30 ...gas off...baste...I still see flames..the most amazing stunning high blue cascading flames.
Gordon says. Every steak is a chefs dream. Also everything is the most amazing and has many secrets. Literally.

Thank you for the videos chef. It's really fun to try your techniques and better myself as an at home chef.
This is a pure work of art. Period.
olive oil. butter. salt. DONE.
you can't really go wrong with butter, salt and pepper... the rest is just extra.
Boom.
Vegetable oil is better for steak because olive oil has too low smoking point. Also pepper is important or else you get a more boring flavor though still delicious
@4:40 " Open it up, just see how pink that is". I've heard that in other genres on the internet!
Probably tender in the middle
Wow..will try this. Looks amazing. Thank you.
I like these videos. Straight to the point and done....not a 20 min cook video learning about the cooks whole life story.
And I have used many of these videos with amazing results.
I agree. I would have liked to know all the ingredients of the rub. But I like how he doesn't specify exact portion sizes. The video's move along at a nice pace too. I tried my first GR recipe last night (Pork chops and sweet and sour bell peppers). It was really good.

Gordan Ramzay golden words
I’ve made this several times and it’s absolutely delicious. Restaurant quality.
I've cooked the Steak and potatoes twice since watching this. Gordon has schooled me big time! I use to only be a filet mignon or occasional Ribeye person. Now I must have a NY Strip done this way. And the potatoes! I wept when I bit into them. Crispy on the outside, fluffy and tender on the inside. I'm learning to cook all over again. Thank you Chef Ramsay!
Get you an man that compliments you like how Gordon compliments his cooking.
I'm the AN man you're looking for : 3
pls 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Best chef in history. Amazing.
The perfect winter time meal!
Olive oil and butter are the true main ingredients.
"Would you like a steak with oils sir?"
Croz Raven I mean, one would argue the steak is the main ingredient, but who am I to say that.
salt and peppah my freind.. salt and peppah
Croz Raven A friend of mine used to say that the secret of good cooking is adding more fat. Just add more fat. The more, the better.
My god Gordon gets such a bad rap out in the media but seeing him in his element is so freaking wholesome. What an enthusiastic chef.
I love the little hmmmm at the end of his videos 😅😂😂 so genuine too
Made it tonight. Fantastic recipe!

Omg Chef I made the steak exactly like you did & it turned out perfect the potatoes & as well as the mushrooms was so good this is the best recipe ever
