This has to be one of, if not THE most wasted castings in cinema history, you won't find another actor that has the same passion that Christopher Reeve had for the character, an actor that even looks and acts so much like the character, and that on top of that is a great actor, you won't find another actor who doesn't treat superman like just another job, you won't find another Henry Cavill, you won't find another SUPERMAN.

There was nothing wrong with what Zack had built, Joss Whedon had messed up the timeline of DC, the Flash movie specifically references Barry rewinding time, while other DC movies refer to the Joss version
The DC universe needed a reboot hence Flashpoint was made, but the way James Gunn has handled it, leaves many fans pissed

Henry Cavill is one of those actors who didn’t play Superman as role, he put his heart into it no matter what. Even when the direction wasn’t great, even when the script wasn’t that good, hell…even if the film was atrocious. He put on that cape and he went from an actor to the man of steel in seconds.
Many people can wear the cape, but Henry Cavill is one of the few that owned that cape.

Because when the world is against you and you pretty much lose everything... You need to rise again... And fly... And never look back... It still hurts to see him leave the role that clearly meant so much to him. I will always stand by his performance as our Man of Steel. I just wish we could have seen him as our Man of Tomorrow. I 100% believe he was going to turn his Superman’s demeanor around in his second film… but unfortunately he never got the chance.
He still inspires hope, and his performance will stand the test of time as we look back over the DCEU. He was truly the best thing to happen to that universe. Everything else (while most is appreciated) kind of dragged, but he stayed a beacon of light! Henry deserved a better swing from Zack, he deserved respect from the fans for his powerful performance, and he most of all deserved better treatment from the childish executives from WB that essentially black listed him from the universe he helped create over the most petty bs.

Seeing Henry hand the cape over honestly hurts so much, but If you think about it, if the reboot goes well enough, DC could make a crossover-likemovie some time in the near future, because the same thing happened to Tobey when he was spider man.
