Alright, alright. I did it. Possibly one of the most famous GunKan clips out there, if not THE most famous. Might do one more GunKan clip after this. Not sure. Backlog ever increasing. Also, why's everybody just NOW starting up Shinymas?
First part is during an FF14 stream where they're talking about a little skit/prank that could have been done during a previous period of time (prior to Golden Week 2019) where I believe Gundou disappeared from social media for a couple of days (in fact, her disappearance apparently caused Google to autocomplete "Gundou" searches as "Gundou death" - shibou - instead of "Gundou disappearance" - shissou). The second part...well, should be pretty obvious. Honestly, there's a DWU part to the 100k stream that's about as famous as this one, but again...backlogs for the backlog throne.
[Translator's Notes/Appendix - tenses in the first part of the video are relatively inconsistent due to the JP language's terrible rules with regards to imperfect past tenses. Apologies. I translate JP "tension" here as EN "mood"/"feeling" (and am likely to do so in future TLs) due to the cover-all nature of the JP term vs the connotation split between EN tension, energy, mood, and feeling. However, there's also been a recent rise in the general cover-all colloquial use of EN "mood" so I thought I might as well use it now when I can. "Wrong" has better impact than "strange" in the TLing of "okashii" in the matter of 3:32 and I really wanted to use it but I feel like somebody would be breathing down my neck if I went too far in TL deviations. Landed on using "stir up" for "moeru" in this video and crossing my fingers that it works decently across the multiple contexts.]

"moeru" as "to stir up" works alright except in cases like "Gundou Mirei might get stirred up, though.". Stirring up makes more sense when the subject is the viewers or a community. I think "to get flamed" might work better also.

Yeah, funny thing is I caught those pretend shock viewer comments when I initially watched the video from forever ago, but forgot/missed it now for some silly reason (although the pronunciation should also have tipped me off lol). Thanks for the heads-up.
Moeru is a very interesting topic in this case. My previous candidates for this were "set ablaze" and "blow up", both of which have found actual use in English with these sorts of contexts. "Blow up" was later discarded due to the fact that it was not very useful in the case that you also referred to, which is when I would have to talk about Gundou/Kanda individually (and I have to kind of show the viewers that moeru can be used BOTH as a verb to incite a general community and to incite someone individually). "Set ablaze" was okay, but it was also ultimately discarded (much like incite/agitate/etc were) because in the context of them REPEATING the word over and over again, shouting it at each other, people their age do not use the words "incite"/"ablaze"/etc. and they often tend to devolve into simpler words. I did consider a more direct approach like "to be (set) on fire" but it's not really used in a general English conversation for this stuff, so I stayed away from it this time. Definitely an awkward one to get through to the audience, though. EDIT: Oh right, there was also something like "light up", but I didn't want to confuse the viewers with the more direct positive connotations of light up vs the alternative general idea of "to light [up] a fire". Sorry for the long shpiel.
And I wanna say that I have the desire to do so and I will if I get a good chunk of time to myself (that free time may be coming up soon), but I'm not the type of greedy person who'd be like "NO! THIS CLIP IS *MINE* TO TRANSLATE!" and then never do it. As long as every good clip out there gets translated properly, I have no complaints at the end of the day.
