I thought the scissors for mowing the lawn analogy was perfect. It got the point across great and was kinda funny.

My free chlorine is 3 and TC is 15 so I know CC is 12. How many gallons of chlorine do I need for my 20,000 gallon pool? My kids haven’t swam this summer yet.😢 Thanks!

I have an uncovered inground commercial spa where I just keep getting a whiff of DBP’s even when I test for no combined chlorine and the free chlorine in accordance to the CYA level and when I bring the FC to 10ppm just to kinda see if that will help and the smell will still linger around if not gets worse. The water is always crystal clear. If I drain and refill it solves the problem but I want to know what is going on and if this can be prevented or reduced without excessive draining and refilling. I have a pool right next to the spa that has zero issues with any odor. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You’re overchlorinating if you go to 10 ppm. Consider adding a small ozone system to it for secondary oxidation. You need help addressing the oxidants in the pool. You could also try enzymes but only small amounts to avoid foaming.
