Celeb Apology checklist. Sad face, been to therapy, Mention God, been to or going to Rehab, Say sorry, Say I'll do better, Say not asking forgiveness, Say I got help, Mention professional help, Say you are ashamed, Say you taking responsibility, making large charity donation, I hit rock bottom. Diddy read the whole script.

I think the fact that Diddy not only denied all the allegations against him but also accused the women of being financially motivated is a very clear indication that this is a false apology. He claims to have been disgusted enough with himself to seek professional help through therapy, rehab, and spiritual counseling, yet he still tried to DARVO his way out of the situation when his behaviors were made public. A changed person would not have done that. Classic abuser. Textbook.

@cassierussell6281 It's an acronym for Deny Accuse/Attack Reverse Victim and Offender. It is a very common, almost universal response that abusers resort to when confronted with their own behavior.

      From Wikipedia
DARVO (an acronym for "deny, attack, and reverse victim & offender") is a reaction that perpetrators of wrongdoing, such as sexual offenders, may display in response to being held accountable for their behavior.[1] Some researchers indicate that it is a common manipulation strategy of psychological abusers.[2]

There was some frontal lobe damage done to my uncle. He was electrocuted and on the outside of the 2nd floor of a building. His partner grabbed his belt to stop the circuit of electricity, and he fell from the 2nd floor, leaving him with frontal lobe damage, which changed his behavior significantly.
I wonder, with all of this violence that surrounded him for a long time, if he may have some frontal lobe damage, also. Do we know if he has adhd or anything else? Learning about those behaviors I was told a person could do a behavior and then regret it almost immediately.

This video, plus anything else he makes public, can be used against him for anything that goes to court and it will hurt him considerably. This was a bad move on his part, and his attorney’s if they ok’d this. She went limp, making very little movement. She didn’t even try to curl up in a ball to shield herself from further damaging blows. That doesn’t happen when the behavior is new. Our instincts tell us to protect ourselves. But to an abuser, that is throwing gas on the fire. She didn’t want to do ANYTHING that would give him more of a reason to continue hitting her. Even when he is sitting down just looking at her, while she was out of the camera range, he sat there like he was a King and he was enjoying the suffering, so much that he wanted to continue to make her cower, so he threw things at her.

    TW: Domestic abuse
Thank you for covering what was in some of the surveillance footage. I've just gotten out of a 15 yr abusive marriage and been trying to process through it. I feel a lot of shame and guilt for what I let myself become and this was an important reminder that my body was doing its best to protect me. There was no shock in either my ex or I aside from the first time he punched a hole through our wall. My body knew the best ways to hold still and position myself to try and de-escalate the situation. The towel thing also reminded me of my ex. I spent so much time defending him and telling myself it was just the trauma talking and he would never intentionally hurt me. But once he found out I started to record our conversations, he would come in and wake me up by yelling at me first thing in the morning when he knew I couldn't be recording. It was the first time it really hit home that he knew exactly what he was doing. If he could worry about his image in the moment, then he knew what he was doing.

Well this is classic for anyone refusing or potentially in denial about their own actions, behaviors n even words so it's not at all limited to domestic violence. In my experience the more egregious the acts the less likelihood of a true apology, remorse n change. So they have to turn it around. Some will say you made them do it by getting them so angry or pushing their buttons but some are smart enough to know this is absurd so the next best thing is to minimize n try to paint you as unforgiving, holding onto the past, being oversensitive n not moving on. Of course when it comes to domestic abuse you should not just be moving on. And if you are still with someone out of fear etc you can sorta see that it could be confusing to them as you're still with them so they take that as forgiving them but yet you're still holding onto it. People need to get out of these relationships or work through together with what happened. I don't mean in this case or domestic violence in general but like affairs etc. they have to win back trust little by little but you also can't hold it against them forever. Better to just leave.

Call him TOXIC if you want to point out problematic behavior, which can also occur in multiple (!) different personality disorders. Why just pick NPD. It became common, because so many use this term so loosely. Common doesn’t mean correct. NPD is a serious disorder and by misusing the term it‘s seriousness gets washed out. People who can not look into your head what you REALLY meant take what you SAID and run with it. Let’s be a little bit clear and use terms which are correct and don’t misuse incorrect ones to avoid the above.

Hey everyone! Hope you’re enjoying the video despite the very heavy and unpleasant topic. I just wanted to add 2 other points for discussion and consideration.
    1) The appeal to religion. I filmed a whole segment about this then cut it out because I wasn’t happy with the way I expressed it. Ultimately I think he’s bringing it up to get sympathy from people who share his faith. In hopes that they will back off when they hear that he asked for grace. To me it feels like a cop out.
    2) if I can ask Diddy one question I would ask “how many other times did events similar to the one in the video take place? Be it with Cassie or anyone else?” The question is a catch 22, either he would have to confess to other cases where he did this or he would claim this is the only time it happened and the moment evidence surfaced that it isn’t, it would very conclusively show how fake this apology was, as well as any other apology moving forward. We already have him claiming he’s sorry for something he strongly denied, so it would just be more of that but there would be no way for him to regain any credibility in a situation like that (not that he can now)

The eye squeezing, in my opinion was him trying really hard to make some tears come out, but they wouldn't, because a) he's a terrible actor, and b) he isn't sorry for what he did (crocodile tears). He literally made this whole "non-apology" about HIMSELF, and not ONE time did he address Cassie, or ANY of his other victims. Hell, it's not clear at all WHO he's even "apologizing" to. Just a bunch of word salad tossed together in a poor attempt to garner sympathy from the public because he's only concerned with the way it made him LOOK.
Even used the typical abuser sayings/tactics "working to become a better man everyday" and "hit rock bottom" yeah ok; how many times did you "hit rock bottom" when you were with Cassie? When you were with Kim Porter? When you were with Misa? When you were dealing with Gina? There's always been a pattern. Smh. Idk, when I "hit rock bottom" I typically might stay in the house/in bed for a few days and eat ice cream; not hit people or drag them, or stomp on their stomachs while pregnant (go listen to Gina V's story). I realized from these videos that I denote contempt a lot, and it probably makes people afraid to approach me, or they don't get a warm or welcoming feeling. In my mind I thought people would relate to my expressions, asymmetrical lip curls, eyebrow raises, and eye rolls, like "isn't this thing annoying or stupid," but it probably doesn't land that way! This was a pretty big realization. I have gotten the same feedback at least 3 times in my life (and repetition is usually a sign of something) that people initially thought that I must be mean, or a b-word, but then they found out I'm really not. This channel is fascinating!

100% loved your analysis! Thank you from my soul, for clarifying that this individual acted with a clear mind in the video. Meaning, mental illness is not a factor. You backed up your statement with the fact he consciously held up his towel for modesty purposes. “Normal” people are capable of evil thinking and actions. My peers who suffer from medical mental disorders, are often accused of horrible crimes against humanity. When in reality, we will more likely hurt ourselves than consider harming others! Thankfully somebody somewhere kept a copy of it, so the world can see what he is truly like when he thinks no one is looking.

    • @neferazure
      @neferazure 7 місяців тому +1

No one kept a copy of it. It was recovered from his home during a recent raid by the feds. Hence why it never surfaced until now. Cassie didn't leak it, hotel didn't leak it, pretty much Diddy created the environment for his own evidence to leak because he fled a couple days before the raid and wasn't smart enough to cover his own ass. Prob had it stashed deep in a vault somewhere and figured they'd never find it. But joke's on him.
Also, this was not the ONLY tape they found; NUMEROUS tapes were found, evidence of the alleged "freak-offs" and other more incriminating evidence, such as concrete proof that he orchestrated the murder of 2Pac Shakur. He's going DOWN. Feds are currently sifting through everything to see what he can be charged with. Unfortunately while the abuse video at least proves that Cassie wasn't lying (because he, along with soooo many others, kept accusing her of lying and being "money hungry"), he cannot be charged with anything from that incident, due to statute of limitations. But there might be other crimes he can face charges for, and they're gathering all that up now.
But yes, to clarify, that tape came from HIS house. He'd been hoarding it all this time. And that's just the footage that was on enough to show on tv; imagine what else they have in their possession now that they CAN'T let us see.

When he said “I HAD TO go to therapy.” And hung his head, is the way the victim would have e said it. It seems like he was trying to get sympathy. His apology, like himself- is a joke. Why would he assume releasing an apology video was a great idea?!
First of all, if he was truly sorry- the day he accused Cassie of "looking for a quick pay day" (which he literally quickly paid) - was the time to apologize.
If this clown was truly remorseful, he would take full accountability, walk into a jailhouse & serve time in jail. And he said (he was disgusted back then)- yet he paid that hotel to obtain the footage. So, he couldn’t have been as disgusted as he says.
As a man he could’ve simply walked away or break up with her. What's worse is attacking a woman- when (she's walking away).
