I remember been 17 years old when I watch this movie for first time, I fell in love with Shiori Tsuda and wanted to protect her, felt so bad when she died :C
Just watch this movie last night. Tsuda's last scene always gets me because i think Tsuda is "Ok, i'm happy now" but then she jump.. I was never expected she will jump
I jave noticed depressed people when they show sudden burts of happiness are usually signs that the end is near When i saw her have fun with kites i was already having the gut feeling that it would happen I miss her
I'm just so glad I found this video, I felt she needed a much better life, not her premature death. This video is like a hug much needed after her death scene.
There are some scenes here that I cannot find from the film, anyways I love this video. I’m still hurt from watching the film, the flower vase on Tsuda’s table after her passing disturbs me still.
I wasn't trying to be shocking when I put that in, but Tsuda being blackmailed into compensated dating was a significant (and perhaps main) reason why Tsuda's life was so tragic and led to her suicide. I've heard some people say AALCC took it too far having Tsuda's blackmail and Kuno's rape present in the plot or depicted. I can respect those opinions, but I never saw those plot elements distract from the grounded feeling of the film.
She's feeling stuck at an age where most people start getting a reality check and then try to adapt to growing up. This is exacerbated by her being cruelly glued to become a prostitute by Hoshino's blackmail, which may have been the same horrible act that was done upon Kuno. Meanwhile her crush towards Yuichi isn't returned, which I believe is implied that Tsuda sees him as a potential savior. That's my take on it.
@@IHateUA-camHandlesVeryMuch So you mean that because of her one-sided love for Yuichi, and that yuichi liked Kuno, that's why she commits suicide? Why do she think that without Yuichi there is no salvation? I also don't understand why the movie only shows Tsuda's body lying when she jumps. They should have given it more background and explanation.
@@soheeeh Their conversation in the restaurant is where Tsuda says that Yuichi "looks out" for her, after Yuichi asked why she rejected Sasaki who he says would have protected her. Her crush on Yuichi is just one small part that's stacked against her, and I think it's clear that the blackmail is the main reason. Part of the beauty of the movie is that we aren't given direct explanations of everything that happens. Plenty of great pieces of media don't try to explain everything, or only the bare minimum. We aren't really explained why we don't see the other kids who were in Okinawa vacation later in the movie. Why those two near death experiences snapped something inside Hoshino. Why that other tourist committed suicide. Why Yuichi acts introverted when previously full of energy, why he still hangs out with Hoshino's gang, and even helped them to forcibly assault (as a euphemism) his crush. Why Kuno shaved her hair afterwards. The reasons for some of these and others can be implied by taking in the other pieces and the details in the movie. The rest are open to our own interpretation, based on what we think makes the most sense.
Thought my stuff being posted elsewhere might happen one day, can't fight the inevitable I guess. Thanks for at least asking for my permission and giving credit though, sure you can post it there.
My girl tsuda deserves so much better. Whenever I watch this scene i can't hold back my tears

this movie feels so unreal, there's something about it and i just cannot get it out of my head,it keep haunting me.
same
Same untill now
なんでこんなに辛く美しいんだろう、涙が出てきた。あまりに儚すぎて光の中に消えてしまった強い少女。
she was the most human character in that film and it's so tragic how her life came to end :'(
My fav character 😞
The girl was already in heaven, flying here and there.
I hope.

Aoi Yu is very youthful. She is very beautiful. I found her in quite a lot of movies from 2000 to 2015. She was very active.
ethereal and simply beautiful... great work!
in love with this movie is a masterpiece

As said in the description, those scenes are extra stock footage I used from director Shunji Iwai's channel.
A completely novel approach to ether that preserves its beauty and sophistication.
Great choice of music. Yourboyfriendsucks is so cool🤝🤝
I love this so much
It's here!!! Great!!!
Yep. I got inspired to take a different approach than I previously planned before, so I got motivated to make something quickly.
gonna rest in peace
This was great
this is great!!
Good work.
Thanks!
She only got a small amount of screentime in the film. Sad :(
best !!
Hey where did you find the scene that starts at 2:19?! The one with the funeral procession? I don’t recall seeing it in the movie
It's extra stock footage from Shunji Iwai's channel. I linked it in the description. It's the one that starts as "シーン 138 カット 2 テイク 1"
0:44 makes me deeply uncomfortable
