@@supersans9041 I FIND damaged/crappy off brand Nerf/Foam Flingable darts from places. I have one thats only the foam part and is shorter than the foam part of a normal Nerf dart. I am going to use that one.

everyone talking about trustfire batteries. From using IMR batteries a lot for different things, let me tell you DO NOT use TrustFire batteries. There's a general rule of thumb in the IMR battery world, don't use anything with the word FIRE in them. And buy from a trusted battery source, there are a lot of rewrapped batteries out there on ebay

@Games are Life simply bypassing the thermistor on the blaster will not stop the batteries from being damaged. Since trustfires were made for high powered flashlights which don’t drain a lot of power, using them in nerf blasters will draw way too much current from the batteries which is very bad for the battery.

depends on you - it'S not the ideal solution but it works
U can buy 5 of these for 1.65$ on ebay so is better to waste 2 dollars for a long term
they are good for completing circuits like he did the let current to flow without shortcircuiting the device id the current may not be supported via the voltage or amps
Nice. very nice way to make a dud battery. but i'd say reinforce the foam dart in the event if it screws up or something but it's a very good way to do this.
+RedNinja Productions you could also put in copper wire, which is the better way but the purpose is "cheap & easy" - just sharing the idea... ^^
Wish I had seen this a few days ago. Just spent days going round every place I know, Microcenter, Best Buy and Batteries plus and not only did they not have them but they didn't even know what they were. So I ordered two on Amazon. Now I'm going to do this trick and get to use my IMR's before the dummy batteries arrive. Thanks blastaway.eu !

you're better off just upgrading your motors and wires to allow all imrs and no dummies because this dummy battery might just...
well.... burst into flames. also, poking contacts with electricity running through them with a metal screwdriver while holding the body of the screwdriver and not the grip.

Quick question. How did you repaint the stripe on your Stryfe? I have serveral attachments and I would like to make them all look like they go with the Stryfe.
With some masking tape, some sandpaper and some spray paint lol, how else would you repaint a stryfe?

you can use a cork for c-cells and wrap them in aluminium foil
dunno about the cork, but i definitely wouldn't use other batteries!!!

could of just drimelled the point off a wood nail. and pushed it thru the dart hole... or wrapped the nail in layers of electrical tape. the head of the nail would be like the minus end of the battery. and the squared of point be like the positive
+jonnymiller1989 could work - it's the same principle - just the material might be less good to transport electricity... so you have to try. at least it's not dangerous.
mixing up the polarity of upgraded batteries is dangerous!
Use a wood dowel the smae size as a double a, drill a joke down the center, put a wire connected to 2 thumbtacks, boom better dumbing battery then you made

this is weird yet usefull,but may i ask how about the heat? did it melt down the foam?

What motors are you using?
IMR's are probably best with stock motors. Anything more powerful need a higher current/high drain battery, like the Meishel 2.0 motors need a 2s LiPo to run a pair smootly, for and MTB Rhinos need a 3s LiPo to get the most of them, that's just flywheels though, pusher motors generally need less torque, also there's replacing the wiring to take a higher current 16 AWG should do it.

well, i did make the video about powering up your stryfe... and the dummy battery has its application there...
if there is the need to strenghten the dummy, a cut-to-size toothpick could help. just an idea than came to my mind while watching.

Yes, in fact, aluminum foil is actually better than tin.

Why can’t you use 4 of the batteries
Why can't you use 4 imrs or 3 and an AA battery
you can, but it's dangerous and will hurt your either your motors (4) or your batteries (3) - especially the latter is considered heavy misuse and can lead to those horror stories of exploding blasters...

I want to use 3 imrs but I can't find dummy batteries where I live and buying it from outside the country would be really expensive so what can I do or what can I use for dummies because this doesn't look safe :/

No the different voltage levels should not be mixed
Put a ball of that in a microwave and it becomes a polished ball

My orange stryfe did not have the dart lock installed!! not only that but the transister is square not round and it does NOT cut out after installing 3 crossfires and a dummy!! =)

After a bit more testing my stryfe cut out after firing 12 out of 18 darts from an 18 dart mag, the shape of the transistor and its legs made twisting it a bit difficult so i instead used a twist tie and wrapped it around the transistors legs and it works perfectly now ;)
Oh and I meant 'Trustfire' batteries not crossfire lol
Me wonders if all the orange Stryfe's have had that specific piece removed due to incompatibilities with certain nerf magazines =/
