    Punches, kicks, elbows, knees and headbutts allowed standing, clinching allowed for 10 seconds and ground fighting allowed for 30 seconds twice in every round, ground and pound allowed to the body, forbidden to the head for the fighter on top, but simulated ground and pound brings points.

    @TheSupatrader in Kudo & Combat Sambo you can strike, in both sports you can submit (chokes, arm locks, leg locks), both wear masks, gloves and a gi.... techniques are shared (a throw is a throw in Sambo and Kudo, a choke is a choke in both sports, a leg lock is a leg lock in both arts) ... maybe some rules are different but other than that, they look the same.

    Ahh... I absolutely love Kudo... Although I wish there was the possibility to fight using the helmets amateur boxers use, and not the supersafe or spacehelmet... The main inconvenient of this, is that it renders the jab nearly useless, and well, that breeds bad habits in the long run.

    @deadPIMP69 You know a lot? Don't seem that way ... you said Combat Sambo is a "professional sport" in Russia... Sambo (Sport and Combat) is promoted and run under FIAS, which stands for Federation International Amateur de Sambo. The key term "Amateur". I as a former judoka and current Sambo player know a bit or two about this.

  • @deadPIMP69

    @AmyBohemi There is possible 3 extra rounds, with 2 time 30 seconds parter. In common practice use only 2 extra rounds, but if fighters has one level in techniks and it is competition of principal, judges gives 3rd extra round.
    In semifanals and finals difference in points betweens opponents should be two or more kokas, or higher mark.

  • @timmythealien
    @timmythealien 14 років тому

    @deadPIMP69 Actually, the more simple explanation is that Kudo isn't that big in Japan, so there's not that many people practicing. That means less good fighters who are up to taking the challenge.

  • @N2EG
    @N2EG 14 років тому

    @extriciplate88 I consider this a hybrid martial art over mma. I dont even consider mma a mixed martial art system.. a proper name would be kickboxing wrestling jiu jitsu which in a sense isnt really all too mixed if it does mostly the same formula for the ring. Im hoping that with daido juku that it would teach more "lethal street fighting techniques" not to mention teach their students to "behave" rather than be muscle bound and brash.

  • @cchhaadd33

    one's physical index being calculated by adding his height in centimeters to his weight in kilograms. Thus, a fighter who's 180 cm tall and weights 70 kg has a physical index of 250. so there are no weight divisions

    this is mma(mixed martial art)!, an offshoot from kyokushin,judo and boxing) but if ur question is what's the difference with the UFC, someone already answered that.....as for the rules in kudo:headbutts allowed, groin kick allowed and limited time on the ground to make it as realistic as possible as a Martial Art (amateur, for everyone)

I think I know what you mean with 'the same formula for the ring', tho it varies with some fighters (everyone has different martial arts background). And daido juku does look rather lethal and useful for the streets, wouldn't you say? :)

    @victorvargaz02 its easy. Japaneses perceives the Kudo more like an art than like a realfighting. They doesn't have enough phisic power. As I know, there are use gym workout not much. In Russia, almost every Kudo fighter( sportsmen ) has power workload in a gym at least 2-3 time a week. And this behind common phisic training with weighting after every kudo workout.

Then those martial arts without kata such as muy thai are built for the ring and do not teach street techniques. If martial arts would take this approach Id take more of them. Moreover its hard to find a dojo that isnt fitness structred. I prefer training like kyokushin I wish they incorporated teachings of shorinji kempo though...
