  • In this video, Mike McGovney digs a little deeper into fishing a steelhead run; this time one some people might pass up. But with our Pure Skagit Rods and Lines, you won't have to. Mike explains how to fish the "junk" runs, or runs with obstructions or backcast limitations. With our products there's not much on the water that you'll need to skip, if you can wade it you can fish it!

Thanks for the video Mike. I’m an OPST guy for all the reasons you mentioned. Throughout my day of swinging I always encounter obstacles such as trees overhead or deep high banks that keep me pinned the the bank, with my OPST rod and line I’m able to cast were I wouldn’t be able to otherwise.

You say it's an 8#. But 425gr. is light for an 8# double handed rod. Isn't it? Or is it 8# single
    handed rating?

Our lines are lighter than others on the market. If we were to put another brands head in the rod it would be heavier.
