I think one of the best things about BFPFilm's FNaF 3 game was that the animatronic attacks were scripted, based on camera flips. You can sit in the office and do literally nothing to win.
I mean, that's how a lot of animatronics in the games are programmed. There's just other mechanics that force you to flip the camera, like Foxy or ventilation
@@cly_ I wouldn't exactly agree but I understand what you mean. The difference is in mainline FNAF their timers run by themselves, while in BFP's Fnaf 3, their ai wouldn't progress at all unless you interracted with the cameras.
It’s still kinda funny how the hoax trailer basically predicted the location of Security Breach you know with the game taking place in a Fazbear themed mall plus the FreddyLand hoax is pretty similar to the newer Fnaf lore with FallFest being set up as a Fazbear themed carnival where the story of Fnaf started

God I remember this time. It was a special time before FNAF was played out and milked into oblivion and it honestly felt like the series could go anywhere at that point. We all knew the story wasn't over it and the killer still had to face his divine punishment (and boy did he).
The GoldenLane FNAF 3 fan trailer actually released in November 2014. Specifically November 18th, tomorrow. And that trailer really resonated with the community for sure, despite what GoldenLane would eventually become years down the road. The animation kinda predicted Security Breach, if you think about it. And yes, the thumbnail is so iconic. I still would've loved to see a fan game with that trailer's concept in mind, it would've hit so hard. Freddy's Mall would've fit faithfully within the official FNAF universe while still labeled as unofficial (like a Fanverse game), being a precursor to the Mega Pizzaplex. This trailer inspired me to write a fan fiction story based around it, that's how much I loved it for the past 10 years. And it set the gold standard for the FNAF animation community. Gotta give GoldenLane credit for what he was able to do back then.

Ok so i was about to comment asking people if they remember that fans speculated that the third game was going to take place in a mall because I remembered that people thought the game was going take place in some sort of mall, but i found comments that mentioned it as well 😂 someone even mentioned how the hoax of the third game being in a mall and the hoax trailer predicted security breach and how it took place in Freddy themed mall.
Funnily enough, I actually put FNAF 3 over FNAF 1 at least when it comes to the gameplay. Yes, the gameplay is a lot to be desired by many but when I took a deep dive into how the AI works in FNAF 3, I became fascinated by how everything functions in FNAF games, whether they're official or fan-made. FNAF 3 in particular was especially interesting because of the fact that Springtrap was the only one that could kill you and therefore Scott had to be creative with how Springtrap behaved aside from his AI increasing in difficulty as the nights progressed. The maintenance panel combined with the Phantoms basically acts as a distraction for the player while also acting as a means for Springtrap's progression towards the office. FNAF 3 was even important when discussing the lore as it was technically the end of one chapter, but it also ended up being a segway into the next chapter of the franchise. It introduced the concept of spring lock suits as well as the answer as to who was inside Springtrap, who ended up being Purple Guy at the time.
Does anyone recall seeing a supposed FNAF 3 leak that was a camera of a dimly lit room with nothing but a discarded Freddy head in it? I distinctly remember seeing this before 3 released and thinking it was real (Even if the camera system only had like four cameras overall) but I have not been able to find the image since
The return to Freddy’s 5 is undeniably impressive, that was the only game that was really good. The only problem was that the game was going to be TRTF’s saving grace, but was never finished. That game could’ve helped the series as a whole
