Very instructional video, well presented. New guidelines if you are pressure canning , which kills all bacteria , you can save yourself a lot of time. Just wash jars till clean , and you no longer need to boil lids..

Fabulous video. This took all the mystery and hesitation away from using my pressure canner. I've read the instructions but seeing the process makes all the difference. Perfect timing! Thanks, I love all your videos.
Just follow the instructions for the type of veggies you are canning carefully and be careful around the steam. Always check your jars for spoilage when opening them to be safe.
Thanks for watching. I am looking foward to getting everything put up so I can get on on other things. We do enjoy the canned vegies year round though.
Love watching your videos. The gardens ones remind me of my childhood. My Dad had a garden we canned all summer and come winter it was like they where picked that day. Thanks so much for sharing my friend.
Thank you for watching my videos. A garden is definitely a labor of love. The rewards are well worth all the work. My memories were opposite yours. We had a small garden and my mom would freeze the veggies in little plastic containers. When we ate it everything was freezer burned and rubbery.
Thank you. The plasma table is one of the most usefull tools that I have designed and built. I figured that many others would run into the same issues as I do and thought it would be fun to share some of my ideas, and hopefully make a couple of dollars from UA-cam advertising in the process. Now I just need another 100,000 subscribers.
I just love your video's!! Your gardens are awesome!! I'm planting carrots in my fall garden and hoping to get a large yield also!! thank you for sharing!
Thank you. I am glad that someone enjoys them. Before we started canning the carrots they would stay in the garden untill the end of Nov and then I would place them in the root cellar in buckets of sand and they would last most of the winter. We are getting ready to plant the fall greens now.
Not much anymore. We usually just plant several types of lettuce, bok choy, beets for greens,& kale. Everything else there is a great public market in Rochester that we visit to stock up on cabbage, brussel sprouts, onions, & potatoes fresh from local farms for extremely low prices to finish filling thr root cellar for the season.
I'm Urban gardening for the first time this year. We be had 115° days here in Southern California and, very ominous weather.. plus, like I told you before Tomato horn worms, and Grubs... I was doomed :( I wish I could grow like you!!
Those carrots looked perfect, amazing! Great canning video - I am swotting up before I get as far as using my new canner! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks. The first use can be a little scary. Follow the directions carefully and enjoy it. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for watching.
Is it necessary to peel the carrots?
The skin is edible so shouldn't be a problem if washed well. Thanks for watching.

I'm curious, what size bed did you plant your carrots in? Did you add more soil/compost to it?
Size doesn't matter. Just fill it with compost. Thanks for watching.
Did your mandoline come with the box to catch the veggies ? I am deciding which one to get
No, they fall on the counter. The food processor will catch them if we are in a hurry. Thanks for watching.
I really need a new pressure canner, mine is not deep. It would be wonderful to make two stacked layers at a time. Thanks for another great video!
It saves a lot of time with the pints and costs about the same as the short one. Thanks for watching.
What kind of pressure canner you have ?
Presto. It uses weights to set the pressure. Thanks for watching.
Great video. Well done
Thanks for watching.
great video a idea for putting the bowling water you could use a tea kettle would allow you to pour the water faster and safer. Just a thought
Good idea. Thanks for watching my videos.

Try planting in compost. That is what helped me get a bigger harvest. Thanks for watching.
iAd a brand new jar crack on me during a load of music shrooms a few years back too - just luck of the draw I giess
I think pressure canning can be rough on jars. Thanks for watching.
