Thank you very much! It is wonderful to be able to revisit my former actual rides, (all the Tour Cols, years ago), virtually on my indoor bike. I’m amazed I managed them, usually with a fully laden touring bike. Didn’t realise how fit I was then - oh, to be young again!
Amazing climb! Is it weird that I think that this should be the most legendary/popular cycling climb in the world and not the more popular Alpe d'Huez? The Alpe has hairpins but those are not that hard to find in any climb and it goes through an alpine town which is whatever. Whereas Mont Ventoux is called The Bald Mountain for a reason with the Radio Tower looming into view as a landmark you are reaching which has a memorable ending to it. Even the fog and exposed environment with the snow poles and wind adds another layer of atmosphere (pun intended) to the climb. This even has multiple routes to the top that shares the same sentiment.
This was my first 'Tour' climb back in 2014. Brings back happy memories seeing this again. How was it filmed? I'm guessing a small car or motorbike until the final 100 metres where it appears to switch to a bicycle.
Bin mit Zwift hochgefahren. Und dazu dieser ruhige und tolle Film (ich war reichlich langsamer😢) . Einfach gut. Und natürlich Dank dafür.
Did this in June 2023 in real life and it's HARD! Thanks for the video - watching it brought back so many thoughts I'd forgotten! Wonderful.
Good job!!! Glad you liked the video :-)
Wonderful video to cycle to, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Happy new year, thank you ❤
Same to you!
Beautiful scenery, once again another great ride. Awesome job! 👍
Thank you so much 👍
THIS IS THE ONE, THE MOST ICONIC COL IN THE WORLD, THE SECOND ONE IS COL DU GLANDON + COL DE LA CROIX DE FER : 24 KILOMETERS GRADIENT 7%
The Stelvio and Zoncolan in Italy too
Wow! Thank you. This is one of the most iconic and challenging climbs I've done, (virtually on Zwift of course) but it's truly a tough one! 🙂
Hi John, You are welcome. You should give it try on our app Open Road. It could be interesting how it compares to Zwift's version.

Not weird at all. Other thinks the same as you: www.cycling-challenge.com/100-cycling-climbs-better-than-alpe-dhuez/
