Hershey Chocolate Factory Switch Job, Norfolk Southern 5604 GP38-2 w/horn, Hershey, Pennsylvania

- With scanner radio sound, the conductor sets the switches and gets NS 5604 off the mainline and across the road to deliver ingredients to the Hershey Company West Hershey plant in Pennsylvania. The chocolate plant produces Hershey's Kisses, Hershey's milk chocolate bars and Hershey's syrup. After picking up empty tank cars and a hopper, the train gets across to the main track, hooks the caboose (Conrail bay window No. 21267) back up, an intermodal train passes by, and then blows the horn before leaving at the end of the video.

I would love to see NS switch out freight cars for the chocolate 🍫 factory
That's cool never seen them shifting there. Cool you got the conductor and engineer on communicating. Sunday about 10 mins after you left a mixed manifest went east with about 220 cars 2 DPUs engines in that one. Then i had to leave after that and a yellow flashing signal appeared. I couldn't stay so i don't know what went through.
Got real lucky with the chocolate factory job, took a year to finally get this at the right time.

They left and went east Intermodal manifest went by and a tanker manifest. Then they went east. That's were they change tracks were we were. They may be coming back with some cars and the caboose?

when does this train come into hershey?
This switcher works the Hershey and nearby Lebanon businesses and sometimes runs on the Capitol track. I got it switching at the chocolate factory on a Saturday a couple weeks ago. I posted a recent video of it traveling between Capitol and Rutherford, check it out. I don't know what day(s) it delivers to the Hershey chocolate factory.
