My 2002 xl7 i love it,has the 2.7 engine,only thing i don't like is its a high rev engine and they come with super low gears,if im doing 70 mph down the interstate,im running close to 3500 rpm.other than that i love it:-)

Cool looking tourer, my father bought one brand new when he retired... today it has 57k on the clock, full factory original spec... absolute cracker of a vehicle!

Have a xl7 2,7 2003, got it in 2016. Planing to give it a smal lift, skidplates etc.

Great vehicle, be aware most of the lift kits are for the standard Grand Vitara. This is fine for the front however the XL7 is much heavier and does not get the same amount of lift.

What's the 2nd fuel tank for? Did you mount one under the car?

Sorry the vehicle doesn't have a second fuel tank. It has a water tank :-)
