Chaplin has so many funny quirks about the characters he plays. He always picks fights, but the way he does it is comical. One of the funniest things about him is the way he always walks with this feet perpetually pointed outwards to the sides, instead of straight ahead. It helps give him that hilariously clumsy look. He runs like that too.

I do agree with you on what you said. I have noticed how alot of the fights Chaplin gets into in his films are fights he instigates. I've also noticed the gag in several Chaplin films with the big menacing guy, where Chaplin hits/whacks him on the head and he doesn't even feel it or notice. The big bully is a reoccurring character, sometimes with a mustache, sometimes a long dark beard (and those bushy fake eyebrows). Laurel and Hardy copies the gag in a couple of their shorts with the big bully getting hit and not noticing. I love Chaplin, and many silent films in general

Mais um caso de tradução preguiçosa de título. Mallet, em inglês, está longe de ser “maleta”. Mas é claro que o tradutor viu a palavra e automaticamente deduziu que “só pode ser maleta” sem nem se dar ao trabalho de assistir ao curta para no mínimo estranhar que não há maleta alguma nele, muito menos uma maleta fatal. Mallet é “marreta” e o curta está cheio de marretas. Não era difícil deduzir a palavra correta. Bom, ultrapassado esse ponto, Carlitos é um dos três concorrentes pelo amor de Mabel. E isso, claro, é só desculpa para muito pastelão, com direito a doses cavalares de chutes em bundas, tijoladas (inclusive em mulher!), um sensacional chute de Carlitos na barriga de uma criança (ponto alto do politicamente incorreto) e muita correria. O roteiro é inexistente e, com 13 minutos, a fita cansa e tem um final apressado, quase inacabado. Nota: 5,0.
