The 14 Plus is $900, not cheap by any means. I feel like Apple priced it that way to just get customers to upgrade to the pros. Serves no other purpose, they could have just lowered the price on the 13 pro and sold that along the 14 pro.
Yup. They wisely stopped selling the 13 Pro on their website cause even they know it's a much better phone than the 14 Plus ... Unfortunately a lot of people know nothing about phones and they'll drop the $900 thinking a 14 is automatically better than the 13 just cause it's newer.
Kinda messed up (but I get it) that Apple is taking advantage of those customers, cause it should be priced at $700 and be called the 13s.

Of course the 13 Pro Max is much better, cameras, battery, screen, quality of materials, etc. I think the biggest failure of the 14 Plus is to wear the A15, if Apple had put the A16 in the 14 Plus we would already be talking about the balance being balanced.
But the A15 Bionic can already reach to 60 Fps in Games, so normal users wont notice any huge difference

Actually the ultrawide and front camera on 14 plus are better, but anything after that goes to 13 Pro Max

Nick, actually picked up the 13 pro max after watching a few of your vids phrasing how great it is upgrading from an XS Max & I’m not disappointed one bit. It definitely felt like an upgrade, a lot like when I finally decided to retire my 6S when going to the XS Max only needing to pay $170 on top of what I sold my XS Max for.
In my country I secured yesterday a 13 Pro Max with 256 GB, for 250 dollars less than the 14 Pro Max. Very few stock remaining. Coming from a 11 Pro Max.
Absolutely no regrets. Dynamic Island hole is too big and distract for me (also inmature at the moment), and I really prefer the notch, since I got used to it, and my MacBook Pro 14" also have it.
Also, no emergency SOS satellite feature in my country, and the other features (Cinema mode, action mode) doesn't really matter to me. With HDR video recording, 5G and the 120 Hz I am most than good.
I considered a 14 Plus, but the 60 Hz display was a really showstopper for me.

Was able to secure a last stock 13 Pro from my carrier (came from iPhone 12). All the reviews convinced me that the 14 series basically has nothing new to offer other than the cool dynamic island (which even now is only available in the pros).
The 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max do have a lot to offer I own both 13 promax and 14 pro max and iPhone 14 pro max super but iPhone 13 pro max it alright

I have a iPhone 12 mini is it worth going to the 14 plus because my battery drains a lot or wait till the iPhone 15 comes out. It also freezes with the latest update suprizingly I am able to send a message.

In my case I bought a new, sealed package iPhone 13 pro max for 975 bucks. If I’m gonna pay 900 bucks for the 14 plus, I can gladly pay less than 100 additional bucks to get a better camera, better battery life, better display, and overall build on more premium materials.
This is why I went for the 13 PM 1 month ago. The only advantage I see on the iPhone 14 plus is the weight, the 14 plus is far lighter than the 13 pro max.

I get 11 hours on screen time over 2.5 days, on the 13 Pro Max and that's for a premium phone. The 14 plus has a 60hz screen, two cameras - so it's like comparing a Land-rover to a Fiesta!

@@sammyjammy6647 in real world performance, not quite, in ideal situations sure, but as it has such an extreme tendency to overheat, it’ll chew through both its battery and battery health. Unless you wanna strap a phone cooler to the back doubling weight and bulk

One thing I notice is I always need to have a change with a phone. Having a 12 pro. I would need to go to a pro max phone. With the 14 plus it is missing a camera. The old plus phones added a Camara. They should have released it with 3 back cameras with 60htz and LiDAR sensor.

Although most don't need a high end pro device, it just makes more sense to get 13 pro max instead of the 14 plus for basically $70 more, you get better camera, display, materials and arguably the better battery. I say $70 because 14 plus unlocked is $929 and not $899. While a brand new 13 pro max can be found at carriers for $999.

Got the 14 plus in red and absolutely love it!!! Much lighter than 14 pro max so that’s a big win for me. Got it through Verizon for free. Traded in my 12 and I’m super happy.

I've got a Samsung A52 and I need to use battery saving a lot which switches from 120hz to 60hz and honestly I really hate 60 after getting used to 120. 120 and 60 feel like separate phones to me

For 2022, 120Hz refresh rate is just the entry level now. Imagine getting a phone that cost 1k $ with 128GB (In my country) hmm this is definitely a bad move.

The 14 plus is for the ordinary user who wants a bigger screen a bit more battery life and decent camera this phone is for you and the pros are for the techy people and who just wants a premium device with all the bells and whistles of the camera but if we are talking about price I feel that you can go with the 13 pro lineup or 14 pro lineup

It’s light a big screen and great battery life three things I love in a phone!! I love my 13 pro max but it is really heavy and I like at least their would be another option to match size and battery life if I would decide to upgrade later on between the 14 pro max and the iPhone 14 plus!! I also love that there’s more vibrant colors on a bigger iPhone!!
When considering the price, lightweight, size and battery life, the 14 plus is the iPhone to get to start a UA-cam channel or something. That’s the iPhone I would get for that

I held a Plus today, and it’s much lighter than My 14 pro max. If they went with at least a 90hz screen. I would’ve went with it instead of my Pro Max It’s even more noticeable on these bigger screens.

Get the 14 plus cause of better reception it runs in 5G unlike 13pm only 4G, better thermals meaning wont heat up as much, new model with better battery, 4k cinematic, ultrawide and front camera, the hz is not really noticeable if you want a lighter phone as well get the 14 plus and if you don’t really care about the camera lens the 14 plus is the best option for you :))

this phone should be 6-700 dollars with a 60hz screen and very minimal upgrade from the 13. It should be named the 13S
I kinda feel that you were trying to make a case for the Pro, but was literally making a case for the 13 Pro Max instead lol! For $900, you can get a refurbished 13 Pro Max with better camera system and 120 Hz screen. With the Pro, you get none of that, but you get crash detection and I think satellite😂. I’m not getting either as I have the 14 Pro Max, but if I was in that market. It would be the 13 Pro max all day! They will support both phones for the same length of time like you said!
I think better deal is to buy 13 pro max then 14 plus. Bcs 13 pro max have the same chipset’s, 120 promotion so better display at all, I think smaller notch, one more camera + LiDAR sensor, better premium material build. In my country (Serbia/Balkan same) 13 pro max (1000€) is cheap then 14 plus (1250€). So I chose 13 pro max in september and I don’t regret.

I’m surprised how they managed to make the 14 plus lighter in weight than the smaller 14 pro. $899 unlocked is too close to Refurb/Used 13 Pro Max prices on the 3rd party market though so it doesn’t feel like a better value buying a brand new 14 Plus.
By using the cheaper and thinner aluminium compared to heavier thicker stainless steel. The internal components except battery weights very little, and is thus insignificant. But that just means lithium is less dense than steel too.
14 Pros cameras are massive and largely outweigh the 14 and 14 Plus

The 13 Pro Max is just the better value between the two. 120 hz for me alone is a trade-off I wouldn’t want to make. Zoom lens is not that crisp so wouldn’t care about that, but all in all the 14 Plus is just too expensive for what it is. Thermal management you say? Well…my 13 Pro Max has only gotten hot like 2 times or so in the last year and that was outside in summer heat with high use. 99% of the time it’s not warm so don’t care if they did make a change on that regard

If I already owned the 13 Pro Max, I wouldn’t upgrade this year. But I don’t think the average person would see much difference between the two, other than the cameras.
There seems to be better carrier deals for the 14 Plus and being able to get a monthly Applecare plus plan with it is also a benefit over getting something refurbished.
So out of the two choices, I’d probably go with the 14 Plus over a refurbished 13 Pro Max.

As an iPhone 13 Pro owner. I'm on IOS 16.0.3. I feel like Apple has slowed down the 120hz refresh rate with the newest IOS update. I can tell a difference. Apple doesn't want the iPhone 13 Pro up with the iPhone 14 Pro so they purposely slowed the 13 pro refresh down?????? They don't want 13 Pro putting the regular 14 to shame?????

Of course the 13 Pro Max is going to be a better phone than the 14 Plus....until you realize that if you want to finance the 13 Pro that there are none available to do that if buying it from Apple. Even my carrier, T-Mobile, actually had one but wanted a $250 down payment (something Apple never asks for) for the honor of financing it. No thanks. Buying used means paying for it full stop and few folks can do that at that price point an it'll be used with no warranty to speak of. I ordered a 14 Plus and will get it next week. I look forward to it as I think it's more phone than most folks need.
