Dorothy is like Yoimiya from Genshin impact; she is not bad but the company insists on putting her between high valuable banners making no one pull for her besides the waifu factor.
Yoi is my fave...... WHY am I fated to make these my favourite characters?!?!
New player here... I used 32 pulls to get her.. Thought she would do more damage.... Yes I E2 lvl50 her..... O well.. she is fun.

@@wolfyone2242 I mean, Im playing for 2 months, I only did the first 10x cuz 5* guaranteed, I aint spending my luck on her when theres Texalter soon which is basically a 6* version of Projekt Red but that deals arts dmg and more dmg in general so to me who likes Red, Texas is too good to not save for.

Indeed. Here's some advice from someone who has her in the CN server. So far, she is very fun use. I use her a lot in IS2, she crushes the lancer stages. She's also a very very good crowd controller. Her damage is okay, honestly it's not her big point. Overall, if you're looking for fun, she is the right pick, but if you're saving for the future banners (packed with meta operators) you might want to consider skipping her.
I believe that the black goat , and gnosis had similar overview to, don't really remember, but I know it's not the first time he said probably.
Spalter was also a probably, but she's definitely a yes pull now because of her module

(9:29) Just like what you said, her flexibility is certainly useful, but also very complex. I think new players will have a hard time if they're using her as DPS dealer, and I rarely see some high level players use trapmaster specialist, except for specialistknights.
If you want to use Dorothy as a main unit, you need to learn how to be good at positioning and maintaining her traps at perfect time, since trapmaster specialist can't summon their trap on occupied tiles.

@@archingelus Yeah, since Texas the Omertosa's skills and talents are more flexible & less complex
I think the issue with trapmaster characters is they need ground tiles to function which not all maps have, they also can only detonate their traps if an enemy steps on them instead of doing something more controlled like W who can detonate on command.
Like if Trapmasters were to get an upgrade the best thing you can do for them is give them the ability to manually detonate the trap instead of having the first peon that walks nearby trigger it.
Its also about teamspace, why bring a trapper to something a caster or a support can handle instead. The only reason I can see them being used is if you have plenty of ground space but no elevated tile space like the Stultifera Navis boss battle. There trappers can shine so long as you don't have Goldenglow.

She’s much like Magallan: a potentially very powerful unit for carrying a stage, but she is HIGHLY dependent upon map layout and enemy types.
Her EN voice is amazing, her design is great, and her kit looks like a blast as someone waiting for Robin in Record Restore... all left now is to see if I also like her character story-wise and my spark savings will be fucked lmfao, gotta grind OP from stages

I originally wasn't gonna pull on Dorothy's banner but then I saw ptilioptis rate up and was hoping for 2 pots for her attack so I used 4 singular headhunting vouchers and ended up getting Dorothy on my 4th
Sad part is I
1. Can't afford to level her up
2. Don't want to level her up
3. Don't have a big enough brain to use her
4. Won't ever use her

I'm kind of unsure what I'll end up doing cause of limited resources, but the most logical choice is going to be pulling until I get the guaranteed 5 or 6 star :)

Also, if you like Dorothy. Check out Turing in the future. You'll be surprised how both Dorothy and Turing are similar!
Both are head researchers of their respective departments (Rhine Lab, Rossum Sector) and have similar outfits (Labcoat with Yellow/Gold flair). They even have the small bot at their side to help them for their research.
I can't wait for Turing to come to Neural Cloud! I will pull for Dorothy! Plus she's the same VA as Selena from PGR (Satomi Sato). So pretty much a guaranteed pull for me!
I have so many meta characters that I honestly just want more niche fun characters, was planning on skipping but decided not to. Probably go to pity and stop if I lose 50/50

I think the Main Problem for Introducing a Trap Master Specialist to new players is how rare it is to have them.
If I'm correct currently there's only 3 Trap Masters After Dorothy and they're stupid rare for new players
Frost may likely never come back because it's a Collab Opperator who specializes in Bind and Stun
Robin may be a welfare but I don't think Mansfield Break is gonna have a Operation Reward anytime soon who specializes in probably the more fun Bind and Push
And now Dorothy is a 6★ Trap Master who specializes in Bind and Damage, Lots of Damage that are probably too complex to do chain reaction damage

I will pull for her as I like her unique gameplay. Hopefully will have enough for Texas Alter. Man I love specialist operators.

Dorothy is one of the few operators I've been really looking forward to. Mlynar and Texalter are just more delete buttons. Penance is cool as a Mudrock alternative. But Dorothy invites interesting play, while everyone else is so straight-forward and boring.
AK is quickly digging it's grave with all of these delete button operators now. It's kind of sad to see. "Don't get this operator because this new delete button is coming soon!" is such an awful mantra that HG and Yostar seem to be embracing way too frequently now. I wouldn't be surprised if I see people saying they're not to get any ops after texalter because Yato is the new broken op and you NEED her.
They are not digging their grave. Strong operators make more of an impact in cc and for newer players. For player who have been playing the game for more than half a year should have operators with which they should be able to clear most of stages ( except for probably high risk cc ) Imo it's more about how versatile and different the new operator is compared to the existing ones which matters. So until the game can make unique operators they should be doing fine. This isn't a PvP game where having strong characters is necessary.

The stats for high/max risk CC clears show that there is only an extremely small population of players that do that content. So the people who skip operators in favor of delete buttons clearly aren't pulling for that content because they're not doing it.
As for new players, I'd argue it's not great for them either. Delete buttons don't teach people how to play the game, or how to formulate strats. Those operators are such overkill that it trivializes the general game. How that's consider a good thing for new players is strange to me. Why would you want the new players who haven't played the game for very long to have access to operators that make it so they essentially don't need to play the game? That kind of defeats the purpose imo. Especially when players willingly skip operators simply because they don't trivialize the game. Why would HG create balanced ops when so many people admittedly wont pull for them because they know the next busted operator is on the way? There's no incentive for it then. That's not a healthy feedback loop.
@@BlahBlahFreeman Delet buttons favour newer players compared to the older player and more experienced players. Didn't talk about max risk but rather high risk. Risk 18 can also considered to be high risk for some players. And the upcoming cc can be solo cleared by Texas which would favour players who want all the rewards. Newer players benefit more with a stronger operators than a older player. I myself found using chen alter in pretty much every stage in my early days of playing the game. Now I don't even keep her in my squad as I want to develop strats which are unique and makes me feel a lot better than just using chen to make the stage cake walk. Currently pretty much every stage is possible to clear with 4 stars only except for probably the H stages. If the game can maintain it that way then I don't think strong operators make much of an impact. Even if game were to bring more strong delete button operators it would help newer players to chose from a wide set of banners.

A person with a wide range of strong operators, who has been playing for a long time or newer player with less number of operators and weaker set of operators ? Stronger operators do make general content easier that is till probably episode 6 after that one needs to actually come up with decent strats to finish stages. I quit the game after playing for a month because the stages were getting harder but after I pulled for chen alter I have played the game for pretty much 5-6 months now.
This comment is exactly my thought. I was saving 300 pulls for Mlynar and Texas alter so I didn't even care if Dorothy's banner got delayed. Today after listening to her theme and suddenly I realised that Ling is one of my favourite operators and I haven't used her at all lately. Then I thought that Dorothy would be great with Ling and with enough IQ they can be really fun instead of using my 0 IQ brain and keep spamming OP/meta operators on every map. Today after almost 60k Orundum and 3 off-banner operators I finally got her and it's so worth it. I think I still have time to save 300 pulls for Texas alter and I would be glad to skip Mlynar and his boring delete button gameplay.

Wanted Dorothy but got Mountain, Chen and Grey alter instead. Was planning to get Mountain when he appears in the shop, which is prob the next std banner. Oh well! Not too excited about Mlynar tbh, I'll just borrow him from someone when I need an extra SilverAsh.
I got her no problem, still have a bunch of pulls, going to skip the next standard even though I want Saga, the other ops I have or don't want. Whether it's Mlynar or Texas I'll get whoever comes first. She is fun, but I had trouble using her in this event because there isn't a lot of ground tiles.
I got Irene, Silverdaddy and Ebenholz so I have enough delete buttons. Now I want something fun, just got Dorothy now I'm waiting for Stainless.

I'm pulling for Dorothy. I was planning on pulling for her even before she was delayed. While I am pulling for Mlynar as well personally I'm not that excited for his banner as everyone else seems to be. Mostly because I didn't exactly like him too much after the Nearl sister events. If he wasn't so broken META wise and a direct power creep of Silverash I wonder how many people would be pulling for him off of his character alone.
I fell in love with Dorothy the moment i heard that character song. However, with so many upcoming meta operators, i'll just have to get her in a future selector or in the shop...

@@saiyatan maybe, but I've only been playing for 2 months, not exactly good at the game and Dorothy has a punishing gameplay for a newbie. I haven't been able to complete event missions and get all the rocks for stages. I need cracked operators to get all the rewards. Doesn't change the fact that I still like her a lot.

She would have been a consideration to pull if only she wasn't paired with the Ultimate DPS Uncle and Texas Alter banner shortly after.

I just pulled for her on a joint banner that i was aiming at Thorns. I'm neither mad nor excited. I think traps are a fun gimmick to break out monotony. I DEFINITELY do not need her, the same way i don't need Eunectes or Maghallan. So i don't know what to do now.

by the time texalter comes, you can use both the original and the alter operators so you don't need to up another pioneer vanguard to replace texas
First when she released in CN after Eben I feel like I hate her cause I really appreciate ant to get her but she debut after my list 6* pull operator come. And each day I find playing Trapmaster is kinda interesting, so I decided to pull Dorothy
Me originally planning on pulling on the Dorothy Banner cause trapmasters seem fun to play around, then saw Texas alter, Chong Yue, Mlynar, and Yato Alter, so I said "Alright, I'll save for other operators".
Then Dorothy Banner got memed on until she finally showed up, so I did a 10 pull.
Then I read the story and decided I'll have to pull because of backstory. ;-;

Eh, who cares about the ops coming up honestly. They're just powercreep delete buttons anyways. In another year they'll probably all be considered obsolete with the next wave of even more braindead ops get released, and everyone will tell you not to roll on anything else besides those new busted units too.

Definitely pulling for her Mlynar I have 8 10 head hunting roll for him with 257k orundum(reserves for IL SIRACUSANO EVENT only) for Dorothy the 52 single head hunting permit are for her. And I have like 1.5k originium but hopefully not using it, that originium is dedicated to "Reed the Flame Shadow"

@@DeathScythe357 Only as a by product. If I happen to get Penance, Texas and NTR while pulling then I will save the rest for Big Chongus. I have plenty of gold tokens to at least pot 3 her without any copies. But Iheard they will be selling nice packs to boost your 6* to lvl 90 when you rteac helite 1 with them. That would be nice for my resources.
