Beautiful apartment and design. I was more impressed by how Maps supports local talent, his art collection is mostly South African and his hat collection is by Simon and Mary which are South Africans and I also saw shoes by Mariah McCloy, also South African. Really exciting to see someone in the lime light buying local. Big ups to Maps.
The house would be perfect for someone like me. I don't see the need of 20 bedrooms if you live alone. This is the the kind of space I see myself in once I graduate and get a job. The closest in the second bedroom is exactly how I describe my dream bachelor pad.
I'm impressed with that statement from a young person. In this day & age there's lot of competition amongst young people more especially black ones and they end up frustrated because when things take a negative turn they loose everything as they don't own any of those, all belong to different banks
@@Lindrish897 yeah that is so true. I am in my third year and I still hear people taking about triple stories. Like really? You don't even have degree and you think ten story buildings will just land on your lap. Like I'm not saying it won't happen or that a degree is all you need but be realistic. People don't start jobs with a R500 000 salary.
Lovely apartment but H&G the filming of this was super shaky. Firstly most of the shots were really tight and zoomed in… for a video about a wide space. While Maps was talking more focus was done on him rather than on panning the camera around his space. Then once he was ready to move on to another space you would briefly film 2 second glimpses of specific corners of each room/space. Definitely need to work to give us a more complete picture, the person talking is just as important as the space and vice versa.
Someone is doing things right now at House and Garden and Condé Nast. After providing people with what they want and faces they relate to, the numbers have shot up! Lethabo achieved 45K views in just a month! She might not be highbrow or traditional ‘House and Garden’ but she’s definitely South African! It’s great to see the merger. The two have great potential of complementing one another. Keep it up guys!
Lungah M Hi 👋🏽. I live in America (California). Can you please provide me a list of African artist. I most admired the kid with the blue hand and flower he showed and the picture he mentioned titled Big Smoke. So sorry, but I couldn’t catch the artist names. Thank you.🌟
I disagree. I think it would only be too dark if there was a literal lack of natural light/light in general, but imo that’s not the case here. I’ve heard people with dark walls say that it made the light objects in their home stand out and be the most important things in the space. I think that’s what he has going on in this home
Maps is such a cool guy...a true gentleman...Love your space, especially that I love dark deco but I usually have a break in colour that is subtle though...but I enjoyed seeing this apartment😍
Wow, I loved every single well thought through element. Stunning taste and earthy style. I especially liked the intimacy created in your multifunctional spaces. The quiet coppery metallics pairing with the earthy rustic of the kitchen drinks section were a highlight for me. A tree top view, how lovely off the living room and the bedroom. The ethereal curtain and walkthrough and cosy seclusion AND double whammy cinema is simply awesome .
Wise young man by the looks of things I concluded that you know money and I will not be surprised when one day they say you are a billionaire, just taking things step by step. You definitely know what you are doing, you are not in a competitio you've got it all planned.👌
Nice space! I love the color scheme and ambiance. Camera work was kinda weird though; I feel like a lot of time was wasted watching him talk instead of showcasing what he was talking about.
Netflix and chill at this guy's house would be heaven, this guy can write a book about his home and makes me want leave house lol. I don't want to live here no more. 😆😆😆😅🤣😂
His vocabulary is everything !
Yes I was taken back with his vocabulary absolutely ozess class sophistication and gentleness I could listen to him all day everyday
My left ear enjoyed this
hahahaha so as mine man
Hey why is that the case?😂😂
😂😂 I thought my earphones broke😭
😂 thought I broke my AirPods
omg me too!!!! LMAOOOOOOO

Its so rare to meet a classy guy like this guy....Blessings to him
His apartment gives me boutique hotel vibes.
his composure and the way he speaks, reminds me of Alex Costa

What a nice apartment..!!I'm in love with the colour scheme 😍
Subtle neh...
more like the tone, its not so much color as it is tone and texture
Yoh so beautiful
I know 99% won't read this but..
Whoever is reading will be successful one day and make their parents proud
Thank you 🙏🏾... it shall be so
Hope so! LoL
Aha
Click-bate of note... Lol
Thank You For This. The Same Is To Happen For You.. More Blessings.
When you end up on this beautiful platform but realise that there’s only two of these home tour videos... Make it happen guys - MORE.
Whenever I see so many dark colours in a home I quickly conclude a man decorated it. And this guy knows every detail of the decor.
Oh my Lord! THE PLEATED CURTAIN!!!! 😍😍
Yes! Where can I find one?
This is just so earthy cosy and beautiful
I can listen to you talk all day 😍
I like that he kept the door frames, it amazing how they merge with Modern design. Beautiful masculine space☺💖
Love his taste in art and the moodiness of his space.
People forget that this man was a presenter on Top Billing...because he is legit talking about his home as if he was presenting on Top Billing.
The pleated curtains so nice!
Absolutely stunning. I like how the design is personalized and not abstract.
This is literally a translation /extension of who you are. Looks clean and detailed
Loved the way you view and describe your art collection
Love your colour palette, love your art and altogether a gorgeous apartment. ..well done!

Yes,I wanted more wide shots of the property. I guess I'll have to find another link to see the beauty of the landscape.
Malkia true. Felt the same
Beautiful, his home is a reflection of him very masculine. You can tell he put a lot of thought into his design.
It looks beautiful and dark, I love dark interior design colours
It was like listening to myself talk... It's beautiful

Beautifully done. Love that smokey dark blue colour.
Home and Garden definitely looking forward to more videos like this, beyond the pages of the magazine
Quite the immaculate space & an equally impressive book collection :)
7:30 next to the TV "Imigongo" from#Rwanda😊 Beautiful apartment...
Loved every bit of it.
Well he's a true gentleman too.
Very neat apartment👌 it's just a little dark for me,it gives musiam vibes/Lodge...
You can tell that if someone would remove one brick from the wall, Maps would notice it.
Lmaooooooooooo 😂
😂😂😂 imagine😂😂
Zama Nyembe I’ve never heard of this young man. But you’re right about your comment.😂😂😂
True lol, he pays attention to detail
@@stillast1sfirst I like these kind of guys..
The stacking door is definitely my favourite. Very nice apartment!!
Maps: "Everyhouse needs a good kitchen"
Me: I don't even have a side lamp
hahahaha did he just say his hair line isnt pushed back as far as a rhinhanna album? yo the punchlines lmao
Archie he read her for filth
YO I JUST SCREAMED...still no album, tho
@@Heyu7her3and the album STILL ain’t here lol
its amazing, i need to hang out with Maps guys. i need to get my coolness on
Love his art collection. This apartment is really beautiful and well thought through. Awesome!
Hope there’s a Nelson Makamo piece somewhere there, love the collection, beautiful space

This was soo therapeutic can't explain it, his voice 😌 asmr vibes
Nice but too dark. I wish he would have left some of the walls white to brighten the place up. As it is, it has the vibe of a gentlemen's club.
Honestly, as soon as they showed it I thought, "That is definitely a bachelor's apartment."
Stunning home 👌
Those curtains are the one!!!
A beautiful house. We on Lockdown so this has been a welcomed watch. Well done Maps.
Stunning cozy place 👌🏾 That hat collection...green with envy.
nice place. you can tell he was waiting for his moment to share his home renovations.
I love the detail it's clean earthy and classy yet very masculine
It's cool but way too dark
It needs some light so that the art pieces can showcase beautifully
I was born in the darkness, moulded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man and by then it was nothing to me but BLINDING!!!
I agree the place is kinda too dark but if he' comfortable with it I am

Beautiful home and love the gold tones and BLACK walls🖤
styled nicely lad, especially like the cinema area. Good work
Lovely home seems so nice and cozy and I love how masculine it is
Beautiful place! Nice, clean and cozy I really enjoyed the tour. Thank you for sharing👏👏👏
I love the black and copper theme, very nice
This is beautiful, very charming.
Maps is such a cool guy...a true gentleman...Love your space, especially that I love dark deco but I usually have a break in colour that is subtle though...but I enjoyed seeing this apartment😍
Beautiful space. Art and curtains . U are a natural esp supporting locals
Talk about living for yourself, not others. Lovely, practical yet cozy bachelor pad.
I like the curtain, I like the plants(not sure why he didn't talk about them), and the lights in the kitchen/bar. Very detailed 👌
Very masculine space. Loved it.
I like the cinema curtains

I could feel at home there! so lovely!...then...booooks!
This beautiful. Can we have more of such videos
Nice space! I love the color scheme and ambiance.
Camera work was kinda weird though; I feel like a lot of time was wasted watching him talk instead of showcasing what he was talking about.
That curtain is cool!!
I totally agree it’s nice to create a way to rotate art. Overall, an interesting space reflecting an interesting person.
This made me so happy
Amazing video. Great style.

Admire the fact that the art is all South African Artists
Favourite part of the apartment: Everything
Least favourite: the closet/wardrobe
I’m so proud of you Maps 🔥😎🍾 glad to see how it finally turned out
Netflix and chill at this guy's house would be heaven, this guy can write a book about his home and makes me want leave house lol. I don't want to live here no more.
😆😆😆😅🤣😂
Beautiful 🖤❗
Did Maps do the actual renovations by himself because these words he's using... rustic and what what
Lion OfJudah I remember watching the entire journey from his IG stories and he was so involved so he probably hand picked everything himself.
@@LwaziMgandela That is some level of dedication and attention to detail i fear i don't posess
😂😂 hilarious
Lol. A rustic Amalgamation of pastel colours
LOL
