I think you can get sustain by exporting the midi into your daw and dragging out the note. Thanks for the vid. This is a great 303 plugin. By far the best I've used to date.
What do you mean with the order? Like shifting the pattern left and right? You can right click and map it to a button or even the modwheel, but you can't automate that as far as I know.
can someone please help- how on earth - because I cant find the info anywhere- and its bloody simple I imagine! Do I get my sequencer to play in say A, pattern 1 and pattern 2 on a loop?????
Hi, I’ve written a track in B minor - Is there a way to create random note sequences of a set length that are forced to stay within that scale? I can’t find a way and it’s driving me up the wall! Cheers!
I have just bought the Phoscyon 2, and really enjoyed this tutorial... But mine dosen't have the "Gui" and "Options" option in the bottom? Can't seem to find it anywhere?
So you can increase step length from 16 to 32...but how do you then copy the first 16 steps to the blank second 16 steps so you can add variation?
Is it possible to play the patterns in a chain in the live mode? Or do I have to use the notes in ableton with the host note mode to create a chain? By the way, the transpose feature is very useful if you want to play the same pattern with different pitches. You only have to paste the pattern to the other patterns and transpose it to the note you like to have it.
I don't think there's a chaining feature. So you'd have to program in some MIDI notes. And yeah the transpose feature is really useful, also for jamming :)
I've only got the td3mo and they both have different functions so kinda difficult to compare but they both sound great. The power of Phoscyon is it's built in distortion which shapes the sound dramatically.
@@Muddydoc ah yeh, usually it installs VST3 files to a folder that can't be changed, but VST2 files can be placed anywhere on your computer , so I always make a custom folder for those since every manufacturer use their own folders.
(not serious) Dutch must be the worst language to learn a foreign language - except for German maybe : Their French pronunciation is worse then mine (which says a lot) But you'd expect that their English - coming from the same language group - would be better ... I started noticing this because I was a bit late learning more then a few of the world's most famous DJ's have the Dutch nationality - artist names can be deceiving - but when taking part in an inverview or show, there was definitely something 'wrong' with their English. Now I have like an immunological reaction : after a few words - it HITS me (more serious) GOOD video - not too long, but touching all important areas !! 👌👌👌
Terrific tutorial, very clearly explained, thank you!😁
in my opinion, yes this is the best.
Really nice tutorial. You answered all my questions. Thanks!
Cool, glad you found it useful 😃
Well explained. Thank you

Ah cool that would be great, thanks for the tip 👍
It is an exact replica of the 1983 TB303
but raised to god level
Do you mean that you can do the same with the D16 like the roland with the held note in time mode, if you dragging out the note?
you can also put slide on all notes to get 1 sustained note.
best Phoscyon 2 Video - perfect - thank you
Fantastic video. Thank you sir.
Really helpful, thanks!
thank you very much; a very helpful lesson. could i may ask you one question, please. how to automate the order of the patern ?

@@optoproductions i ment to automate the diffrent pattern in the arrangement. thank you for the quick respond
@@Pushklick ah oke yeah you can map these to the bottom keys on your keyboard they work like keyswitches 👍
is it possible in EXT mode via ableton live to automate accent, slide etc. in ableton like in the sequencer ?
Yes accent is just velocity, slide when you overlap the notes.
@@optoproductions great. thx :)
thanks man great tutorial🙏
Thanks, very good turorial!!
Good tutorial! Any tips how to automate pattern change in Ableton?
I would just use the keyswitches, or drag the MIDI to ableton.
can someone please help- how on earth - because I cant find the info anywhere- and its bloody simple I imagine! Do I get my sequencer to play in say A, pattern 1 and pattern 2 on a loop?????
Use host note and send MIDI notes to it just like key switches starting from C0.
Hi,
I’ve written a track in B minor - Is there a way to create random note sequences of a set length that are forced to stay within that scale? I can’t find a way and it’s driving me up the wall! Cheers!
Yes page 31 of the manual explains it, you can click on the notes of the keyboard to decide which notes are affected by the randomizer.
I have just bought the Phoscyon 2, and really enjoyed this tutorial... But mine dosen't have the "Gui" and "Options" option in the bottom? Can't seem to find it anywhere?
You're right, it moved into the upper left of the window, the little cog symbol.
@@optoproductions I truly am slow! Thanks so much for the help. :)
@@Factory1313 haha no problem, it took me a second as well 😅
How to set scale for randomising in certain scale/ key ?
You can click on the notes on the piano to activate or deactivate random note generation for those keys.
COOOooooLLLlllll ! 🙂🙂🙂😀💯
For some reason I can't switch to external mode. All the other buttons work? Please help.
If you have the demo that's all you can do.
So you can increase step length from 16 to 32...but how do you then copy the first 16 steps to the blank second 16 steps so you can add variation? I've tried eveything!
That's not possible unfortunately but you can copy the pattern to another pattern and switch between the two with host notes (keyswitches).

Jammergenoeg werkt de host mode niet met Arpeggiator. De enige manier is om de MIDI te exporteren per patroon en dit in Cubase zelf te schakelen.
@@optoproductions Ok dankjewel!

Just download it on the site?

Nope, you can just log in or use an offline activation key.
