The first pedal I have bought in over 13 years. Rackmount sound quality & the best falling pitch shimmer I have heard so far. Thank you for the stereo demo, this thing was made for headphone music. Looking forward to hearing some Cloud Anthems!
Thank you so much! Really happy to hear you love your Mercury7 as well. It’s just a spectacular pedal. And I can’t wait to share Cloud Anthems with you in the near future 😊
Stefan, you are the very best to make stuff sounding impossibly good. In my humble opinion you are one of the very few "reviewer" who lost a lot of time finding good riffs, most the of the youtube guys are "blues leaks and solos". End. You put all yourself in these videos. 5:58 THAT LEAK IS JUST INSANE.
it just occurred to me... this is the difference between just playing some chords through a pedal, _and playing the pedal with the notes it's asking for_
Thank you so much, buddy! Your kindness goes straight to heart ❤️ I do spend a lot of time on the playing examples. I want them to be as musical as possible and highlight the musicality of each sound in the pedal. I’m really happy that you notice that. Makes all the hard work worth it. Thanks for watching and commenting. It just means so much to me 😊
Here we go agaaaaaaaaaaaaain !! This pedal demo was spot on. I definitely fell in love with your Fuzz and Reverb/delay pedal demos, and this one is no exception. Great playthrough and nice explanation. See you again in the next video
Thaaaaaanks! You’re too kind ❤️😊 Just really happy that you enjoy the demos and want to hang out on channel for a while. All of your comments are highly appreciated!
Absolutely incredible demo. Knew nothing about this pedal, stumbled upon this video, and now I cannot live too much longer without having this pedal!!! I have subscribed to your channel too.
Woah, got a real 'Fifth Element' vibe when you were doing the alt effects ! That fuzzy reverb thing you do half way through the video is immense! Lastly, 'What androids really dream about!' Nicely done Stefan, nicely done !
Man, it is absolutely logical and natural to make your own project, you have a taste and people like it. not so much a really good post rock nowadays. by the way I'm from the Crimea.
Thanks, dude! I'll hopefully get around to making a solo record at some point soon. In the meantime you're more than welcome to listen to my most recent band project Cloud Anthems. We released an EP two months ago. You can find it on Bandcamp and Spotify ☺
I finally decided to buy the Meris after seeing your demo of it here, and it has changed my game a lot. Your video is also helping me program the pedal correctly, because it has some deep editing features which I only wish I could access via direct knobs, but anyway, the music I'm producing now with this pedal and a few others, is light years ahead of what I was producing before. Thanks for your help!!! Cheers Kim.
I probably saw this demo for the first time, about a year ago.. And now, i ordered one from thomann, after 10/11 views of this video. It's a real dream came true.. Thank's for sharing this ❤️
Oh boy! Thank you. Really honored you enjoyed the demo so much and that it inspired you to pick up the pedal. It really is a dream reverb pedal. Has been my reverb of choice ever since I finished filming this demo 😊
@@thepedalzone some guitar players hate this kind of pedals cause they don't understand that there's no differences between these beautiful ambient machines and multifx systems or plug ins. The truth is that: the musicians need to feel the expression of an algorithm that pass trough a specific instrument and a tube amp or an interface. Our ears are the only truth, our heart, our passion for ambient spaces and different melodies in progression. I love the power of the music which pass trough our fingers and i adore the sincere emotion born for example by a chord progression with delay and reverb (i also have an avalanche v2) 👨🏻🚀☄️
Thank you so much, man! I put a lot of work into this demo, so it really means a lot to me that you like it and that you feel I did the pedal justice 😊
I really wasnt too into this pedal from the demos that I heard of it. I thought it was a great into, but nothing I found that interesting. Well you completely changed my mind!! This is amazing and there's so many features I didn't realize the full potential to. That expression pedal stuff sounded incredible and is such an amazing idea. Awesome work, dude! You've won me over haha
Yes! Super stoked to hear that my demo convinced you of the awesomeness inside the Mercury7. It’s just a crazy inspiring pedal, and the expression capabilities are indeed something else. Just so good ❤️
I am such a fan of ambiant sound,,and I love alot of different pedals and what they have to offer. But realistically this pedal hits home. Great demo as always. Thank you awesome playing style.
Rewatching since I bought the Mercury 7 a month ago. I love your playing in this one Stefan. Especially the end jam -- it really gets me in the feels. X
Dude! Thank you! So stoked to hear you enjoyed the demo. Polymoon and Mercury7 were made for each other. You're gonna open up tonal dimensions you didn't even know existed with those two 😊
Such a sweet demo of the Mercury 7, it’s an insanely nice pedal and your playing is incredible man. As much as I love my BigSky, It’s so tempting to give this a try.
So honoured to hear that my demo could supply the entertainment for your drive home. I'm really happy you liked it. That final jam was fun to make. Personally completely blown away by that choir sound I managed to get out of it in the very end. Just sounds stunning. Meris are absolutely killing it at the moment 😊
I used to create Death Metal, EMG+Engl & AEAEAE tuning with a Boss Noise Suppressor as my only Pedal for about 10 years. But now i´m looking for psychedelic sounds and ambient relaxation, your pedal demos are some of the best online, providing great inspiration to find my way trough all that gear so i don't waste my money on crap pedals. Thanks a lot, have a nice weekend!
Super humbled by your kind comment. Wow. Thank you ❤ Just happy that my videos are helpful in your new journey through the wonderful ambient sounds available out there in the world today 😊
I loved the sound of the Polymoon and picked it up immediately but I was on the line with this one, debating on whether to get this or save for a big sky, but after this demo, I am convinced I want this pedal. The sounds are truly genuine and immersive. I would love to see you guys do a demo of both the polymoon and mercury 7 at the same time to see what their potential together is.
Really happy you liked the demo and that it convinced you of the Mercury7’s awesomeness. I also have a Polymoon, and I gotta tell ya, it is just made for being paired with the Mercury7. They sound so divine together. I will definitely have a video up at one point where I play them together 😊 Thanks for watching and commenting. Means a lot to me!
This pedal is stellar! Your demo sounds awesome through headphones. Great job. I currently have a Strymon Blue Sky but after watching this I may have to upgrade to the Meris Mercury 7.
ThePedalZone FYI, I actually bought the Meris Mercury 7 today. Your demo convinced me to upgrade from my Strymon Blue Sky. Super stoked to get it on my board and see what I can come up with. Thankfully I know what it is capable of from your video! Keep doin what you do. 🤟🏼
Really kind of you, man! But no, I don’t do any solo ambient looping gigs. But maybe something to consider for the future. Thanking you for your kindness and support, and thank you for watching the channel! ❤️
Oh you have to try it sometime. The problem: venues such as bars don't really work but bookstores, gallery spaces, sci-fi cons, places like that work better. Stefan, that last song, those layers of loops, it’s a f)&@&$)! Masterpiece composition. Really amazing. Inspiring. Gosh dang it I thought I had enough reverb pedals.
My new Meris Mercury 7 came in today! Now the experimenting starts. Can already tell after 10 min of playing with it that it knocks my Strymon Blue Sky out of the water.

Partly based on Stephan’s review, I bought one. If you’re siting on the fence, then jump. You won’t be disappointed, trust me. The auto swell function alone is worth the price of admission. 🌵🐾

Wow, just wow! Incredible pedal, but most importantly your inspiring feel for tone and musicality! Keep it up. Also, on a funny note, I laughed at 7:00 min mark when you engaged the fuzz and looked straight at the camera, like "yea, that'll do" bahaha.😂
Haha! Thanks, dude. It's difficult not to get caught up in the moment when you're playing this thing. It just sounds unreal and just fills up the room completely with its spectacular ambience ❤
I bought one of these too after only five minutes into this video! I just wish I would’ve come across the Polymoon and the Mercury7 before I bought a slew of other delays and reverbs. I’ve been stuck in multi FX unit mode for 40 years and just started checking out some of these fantastic individual pedals. No multi effects unit I’ve bought or tried has anything like these two units. Is my search over? Of course not!
Another amazing video-review & playing by you!! Bravo & thanks to you!! First video I watched from you was the review of Avalanche Run V2. Now, after watching Meris Mercury 7 review, I can't decide which of them I like most!! By the way, which of them do you like-use most and why?

Oh my! Thank you so much, Anna. That really means a lot to me 🙏
Was recommended this by the algorithm... Super thankful.
This is one of the coolest pedal demo vids I've seen. Thanks for creating it ✊
The setting with the really slow drop in pitch is probably one of my favourite sounds ever
Same here! It’s highly additive 😊
This is great. I also appreciate a reviewer who uses language with verve and precision.
Thanks, man! Very kind of you 🙏
Christopher Nolan and Ridley Scott should hire you to score their films in the future.
Oh wow! Would be a dream come true! Thank you for the unbelievable kindness ❤️
It's Blade Runner revisited.
This is the video that got me to buy the pedal. Amazing work!
Deeply honored to hear you found this demo inspiring and helpful ❤

ThePedalZone Stephan just one question... Did you mod anything on the j mascis? Just curios couse it sound amazing!!!
Thanks! No, no real mods. I changed the nut, but that's it. Just to have better stability :)
Just WOW!!! You never fail to amaze me with your demos Stefan.

Awww! Thank you so much. Merc7 is just one of the finest reverb pedals ever. Can't see me parting with mine

This was amazing, both gear-wise, composition and playing. An absolute beast. Sindsygt!
Mange tak, min ven 😊
After watching this video countless times, I've finally bought a Mercury7.
A decision I'm sure you'll not regret. It's by far my favorite reverb pedal
Your video tipped me over and so now I await for my mercury 7!
Amazing! It's such a great reverb. Been my go-to since I got it 🙌
That is fabulous. I got cold chills when you added the fuzz. 👍♥️👍💙🎸👍♥️👍💙👍🎸

Finally, a stereo reverb (Mercury7) demo actually in S T E R E O. Thanks!
Thank you for watching! It has a lovely stereo image, so I thought it definitely deserved to be presented in that light 😊
This pedal is stellar! Your demo sounds awesome through headphones. Great job. I currently have a Strymon Blue Sky but after watching this I may have to upgrade to the Meris Mercury 7.
Awwww, man! Thanks! You'll definitely not regret getting a Mercury7. It's still the best reverb pedal I've ever played and owned.
