I would never mark holes with a sharpie or permanent marker, use a pencil in case you f up and need to easily erase and re-adjust your location for some reason…because if you are a DIY’er, I promise you that you’re going to mess up from time to time…that’s just part of learning.
I want to replace my two sided toilet paper holder with a one piece holder. I removed the existing pieces but there are 4 holes in the vanity now. What can I do to cover these up? Thank you!
If it’s meant to be that way then why does the design of this one he had in the video have a little point at the end sticking out meant to keep the roll on the pole. It being pointed up wouldnt make any sense because that little lip would only work a fraction of the time depending on how you’re pulling the roll. But if it were horizontal (like the design indicates it’s meant for) the roll would naturally hang down and when you pull the toilet paper if it were to move the lip would hold it on the pole. It’s simple physics if you pay attention to the design meaning with it being vertical that wouldn’t make sense with the design. So for you to confidently state that it’s wrong is ignorant to key details.

What size screws did you use to replace the ones they came with?

Your installing that wrong like 99% of others do too. Its supposed to go straight upwards at 12o'clock

It could go both ways. The instructions on mine shows both options.
