I just used mine and it worked really well . The only thing I noticed is it will indicate open ground condition on one of the receptacles even when receptacle ground is properly wired. If your ground wire is on the bottom of receptacle it will indicate proper ground on bottom receptacle and open ground on the top receptacle . With multi meter the receptacle shows proper ground ! I also found the tool to be helpful for finding what wire is the one attached to receptacle you have tester plugged in to! I had a gang of about ten wires and ran the tester slowly over the romex and it lit up to indicate wire !.That saved me a lot of time!

I would have popped out the door pins. Less wear and tear on the screw holes.

THANK YOU! I checked everywhere short of tracing wires. (Turns out some visiting family flipped a light switch we never use 😂) I can't believe I didn't think to check light switches. Sometimes you just need to be reminded of the simple things.

If you have the one with the yellow on side side and then the green one on the other side, you know you’re in alignment when you adjust it to make the green light a steady solid. If your garage is still being weird after that, make sure the wires are pushed in far enough into the garage motor. I just had a couple of annoying days thinking everything was messed up, then discovered after pushing in the wire about a couple mm, it worked perfectly fine like nothing ever happened 😂 A good sign that may be the issue is while setting the open and close limit and it goes through the auto cycle to run through the set limits, it will raise up with no issues but then stutters and freaks out when it is about to go down. This happened to me even when the green light was solid and showed it shouldn’t have happened, but i noticed it blinked off randomly for half a second, leading me to check the wire. Hopefully this can help someone else

If you are watching this video BEFORE you purchase this lock, you're very lucky. Don't buy this lock!! If this seems complicated, it is worse than it appears here. After watching multiple videos, and reading the instructions many times, it still won't let me add an additional user. And it's brutal to work with. Don't but Defiant. Buy anything else. I hate this lock. Completely sucks.
