No matter how much you hate water stages, you _cannot_ deny that this stage has a fantastic atmosphere.
As a gamer who dislikes water stages, this series has a great atmosphere and every stage is fun to play. Except Black Out Basement. That stage is no fun to me.
Yes I agree I always hated water levels but in this case I can enjoy the atmosphere in this stage

So glad I was lucky enough to be a kid in the 90s and was able to enjoy this game for what it was. We didn’t realize how lucky we were back then, I feel bad for kids who didn’t get to experience just how amazing the 90s were

This makes me feel so nostalgic and sad, reminds me of a little me with her father, playing this at night with all the lights off and only the light coming from the tv. Thanks for this video, sometimes it's amazing how little things can make you remember so much

@@thomassalas5191jolly Roger bay for me. Just too much nostalgia about that level. It was the late 90's and I was super excited about finally getting a Nintendo 64 and of course the first game I owned was SM64. Never felt such joy like that before. It was the best feeling.

Watching this while medicated. This was such a weird experience seeing gameplay of this game again since I haven’t played it in about 13 or 14 years brought back some good childhood memories sad enough that now I’m old have to work now for money job is stressful boy do I miss those times of just pure happiness and no stress
I am hoping that these videos help us to remember the good times of our childhood and bring a time of peace. Quietly listen while meditating or trying to sleep. The music is easy to find but the gameplay can help with the experience. I do understand the concept of doing nothing but work.

I wish we never grew old. I wish we never had to grow and face hardships of life, it’s incredible how what seems not long ago we just sat in our rooms playing this or another memorable game while we had no idea the struggles of life. My 3 kids I hope feel this nostalgia like I did. I miss my dad and my mom. Both are gone and it really sucks

It is worth a playthrough. DKC2 is the must play sequel. It improves on the original.

I played DKC in 1994 for the first time in vacation, I brought my SNES with me to vacation to the ocean in summer.... me and friend were blown away! And we always dreamed of that music when we bathed in the ocean on that 1994 vacation. Great times! DKC rules, esp the first part! DKC2 and DKC3 are ok though.. :)
Me and my friends would think of DKC when we would hike around the woods as kids. I played the game around its release. I would dream of the underwater music a lot. I still have a close spot for DKC2. DKC3 keeps growing on me

It took me a until the PS2 days to get ahold of DKC3. Hard to find for me. I will still 100% it along with the other 2 DKC games

My kids prefer older games that I played back in the 90's! Amazing how good these older games have aged. Sad though because today's kids already have the best of the best when it comes to graphics/updates/dlc packs. Gaming was better when it wasn't just focused mainly on graphics. Gameplay was better back then and no one can change my mind!

Back then people made games for entertainment. Fast forward to modern times it’s just huge corporations greedy for money. Release unfinished games. Don’t fix things that need to be fixed while pumping out micro dlc for cash.

I generally dislike water levels but DKC feels so good to me and the music is god like when wanting to relax. I just loath Poison Pond and any level that pops in fast moving hazards. Thanks for the positivity and we'll for sure check ya out.
