By Jove, back to life growing up. I was not yet a teenager; in fact, my 13th birthday coincided with the General Election that year! Selina Scott, Frank Bough and Nick Ross staple watching before going to school (my second year at senior school, incidentally!)
Same. The mind is an amazing thing- at 0:29 I had a sense memory of walking to school in the snow at the age of six, and noticing the TV through someone's window showing Francis Wilson presenting the weather. Completely trivial but for some reason it stayed in my head.
TV in the morning was such a strange concept to me when it started. I was used to listening to the radio and I thought "Who has time to sit and watch telly in the morning?" - turns out - everyone!
The man who launched Britain's first ever regular breakfast television programme BBC Breakfast Time has died on Wednesday 21st October 2020 aged 87. RIP Frank Bough.
Interesting how natural, charming and relaxed the presenters are. No disrespect, but the ones who do the Saturday morning before Saturday Kitchen - so wooden. Also ironic how all the cheer was rather jarred-against by the news and the jet crash killing 40 people.

Glad you enjoyed your trip down memory lane.
Of course I did. The distinctive clock reminded me when to get off to school as well!

Remember watching this getting ready to go to school in the mornings before TV-AM started .
That touch on Debbie Rix’s shoulder. Pure Partridge.
Can't handle watching breakfast telly in the morning.

Jane (an American Television News programme anchor) was a guest on the first edition of Breakfast Time.
Very relaxed compared with the states
When David Icke was on the telly.

Do you play tennis?
“Mr” William Whitelaw

Hi, you may well be correct. I can't remember though. Cheers.

I remember hearing about Frank Bough's demise, by which time I was fifty! He presented Breakfast Time during my adolescence.
From Grandstand then Nationwide to Breakfast Time, Frank Bough left pleasant indelible Memories from my Childhood through Adolescence to Adulthood.
@@malcolmbrewis5582 He left an indelible memory on many of his female colleagues too but all for the wrong reasons, if you know what I mean?
Frank 50 years old here.
David Icke before he lost the plot
Yes so decadent for the morning.
Decadent was my late father's favourite word! He liked to use it when he could.
How much more self-congratulatory could these sycophants be?

Hi, I'd not really thought of it that way before. Thanks.
