So happy to see Kylie on your channel. As an American fan, she's been grossly overlooked in the US for the past 3 decades. I think you'd also love Troye Sivan, especially his most recent album, "Something To Give Each Other". He's another incredible Australian pop artist.

  • @heekamalokilo7194
    @heekamalokilo7194 Місяць тому +16

Such a pleasant surprise! Kylie is very much an icon, especially in the UK and Australia. She hasn't had as much success in the US, so it's nice to see an American appreciate her. And you're right, her career spans almost 40 years (debuted in 1987). Here are the songs she performed in the video:
    1) Padam Padam (2023)
    2) Can't Get You Out of My Head (2001)
    3) Love at First Sight (2002)
    4) All the Lovers (2010)
So has soooo many great songs and music videos, it's hard to decide which one to recommend first! You could start with Slow and All the Lovers to see how they inspired Dua's Illusion video, or you could focus on her biggest era: 2001's Fever. It had 4 singles with great music videos (Can't Get You Out of My Head, In Your Eyes, Love at First Sight and Come into My World). Will definitely tune in, whatever you decide to react to from her! :)

This reaction was lovely I love watching this along with you the joy on your face is what it brings to me every time I watch it . There are many Kylie references in this performance , from the hints of confide In me at the start ( a Kylie song that’ started her indie stage in the 90s worth a look ). To the spooning record at the start which is referencing her 2002 Brit awards performance. This whole thing is staged like her journey through music and life , the part with slow in the middle ( a song you should check out , especially the video since it inspired illusion video by dua , who her self is a big Kylie fan ). Is like her battles with illness and the music industry , ( being called a singing budgie , or too old , but Kylie always rises from the darkness as she does in this performance radiating the joy she does to so many people , Kylie is pure joy , and it’s infectious as you can see from your reaction. I look forward to your many Kylie reactions, thank you for sharing hope you listened to love st first sight it’s my fav Kylie song ,
I would suggest listening to tension album , and tension the song the follow up to padam which is just amazing !!
      Thank you thank you xxxx

The song you didn't know is "Love at First Sight." It's from her Fever album, which also includes "Can't Get You Out of My Head" and many other bangers. It's honestly one of her best albums and probably one of the best pop albums in history. 😀

the APHRODITE tour dvd is incredible (it’s available on youtube), fever is so good too.
she has SO many great songs - confide in me, chocolate, sexercise, kiss me once, slow, beautiful, tension, spinnin around, love at first sight, timebomb, on a night like this, all the lovers, wow, outta my way, in my arms, in your eyes, etc!

Kylie Minogue has always been high on the charts in the UK, European and Australian charts since the late 80's. she always seemed to struggle to fit in with the American music Industry. From what I remember reading she said, according to research that her music never had a genre to fit into the American music industry to be awarded or recognised until her 8th album fever and as recently with Padam Padam. She first toured America in 2009 after touring her 10th studio album X. She's always been a dance pop musician whilst experimenting with other genres including House, Disco, Country, Classical, RnB, Synth, German Disco and Indie. Kylie is a known fashion icon especially during the 2000's with her elaborate stage costumes and settings.

She's the best mate! Unbelievable! You gotta watch the "Confide in Me" at the North America New York concert. It's my favourite performance. She sings on every live performance and her voice has actually improved with age and she always sounds the same. She is a legend and you are right, she didn't become as popular as Madonna in the US but I think she's on her way at nearly 56. She has a lifetime residency at Voltaire now and can come and go as she pleases. Her show was a banger and every show was sold out. Good on her! We love her in Australia and hope she achieves what she's after. In fact, I think she gets as much out of performing as we do as spectators. She is mesmerising to watch! Love her!

100% more Kylie on the channel!
16 studio albums to go through my man!
Kylie won her second Grammy last year for “Padam Padam” in 2024, but won her first Grammy 20 years prior for “Come into My World” (that’s got an awesome music video).
My other favorites “Did it Again”, “Tension”, “Timebomb”, “On A Night Like This”and “Hold on to Now”.
I think you should react to Dua Lipa and Kylie’s duet of “Real Groove”
And check out some clips from her 2023-2024 Las Vegas Residency!

Love at first sight was from Fever! Her step into dance pop. Outstanding album 👏 The song itself was a favourite of Kylies. She wanted it. The record company didn't want it on the album. She worked with a man called Biff, who went on to make some fantastic music with Kylie, Tension album being one. ❤

The black dress is a throwback to the black dress she wore in the “What do I have to Do” video from 1990. The laceup down the side and the little twisty move she did is a throwback to the Brits 2002 performance where she arrived on a giant CD 💿 hence the opener backdrop. The dancers in white are all wearing her name with different logos from get various albums.

😂 at you thinking Padam came out decades ago. I'm a Madonna fan and a Kylie fan, but the only similarities are that they are both white, pop artists that have managed to stay relevant for decades. Kylie is for sure my favorite. You can always put on her music and instantly feel joy like you did watching this performance. She's campy, sensual without being vulgar, down to earth yet performs like an untouchable godess. The US has fallen asleep on this lady for decades. Glad she's finally getting the recognition she deserves.
If you want to take explore her music I recommend starting all the way back in the 80s at the beginning of her career.
80s: "The Loco-motion", "I Should Be So Lucky", "Never Too Late"
90s: "Better The Devil You Know", "Step Back In Time", "Finer Feelings", "Confide in Me", "Breathe"
00s: "Spinning Around", "Can't Get You Outta My Head", "Love At First Sight", "Slow", "Chocolate", "I Believe in You", "In My Arms", "The One"
10s: "All The Lovers", "Timebomb", "Flower", "Into the Blue", "Right Here, Right Now", "Dancing"
20s: "Say Something", "Magic", "A Second To Midnight", "Kiss of Life", "Padam, Padam", "Tension".

Cheers for the reaction. So, this performance has many throwbacks to her career. The revolving disc at the start is a call back to her 2002 performance, the black outfit for can't get you out of my head is a call back to a dress she wore in a 1990s video what do I have to do, the choreography for song 3 (love at first at sight) is the original when she released the song, the logos on the dancers white jumpsuits are her logos through the years. In the intro you can hear confide in me, spinning around.Padam Padam was released in 2023. The final song, all the lovers, is where her fans get our name, lovers

Amazing reaction and thank you so much for being an ally to the community. Just like Madonna, Kylie is an icon and supporter since she started on 1989 with "The Locomotion".
Please react to "Your Disco Needs You" live... Big hugs from Chile 🇨🇱

Kylie won a Grammy in 2023 for Padam Padam! Love At First Sight is not new, it was released as the follow up single to Can't Get You Out Of My Head 23 years ago! smh

All the songs after padam are older. The looks she is wear to the dancers are all nods to her past looks. The dancers wearing her name are past fonts she used to spell her name on her album and past eras.

And no, "Love At First Sight" is from the very same album "Fever" from 2000 like "Can't Get You Out Of My Head". Full of bangers, I can tell you.

Bro, you gotta get more legends on the channel frfr. I have a few in mind but for right now, you definitely should give the Queen of Hip Hop & Soul, Mary J. Blige her flowers. So I have some songs/videos you should check out in particular. All That I Can Say, Deep Inside, No More Drama, Enough Cryin, Take Me As I Am, One ft. U2, Someone To Love Me, We Got Hood Love, Mr Wrong, Right Now, Whole Damn Year, Come See About Me. All dope frfr..

You should def do more Kylie… at nearly 56, and 37 years of consistent music-making, there's a huge and rich catalogue for you to delve into!
My personal favorite album and tour is Aphrodite from 2010; it's a must-listen. However, her penultimate album to date, Disco from 2020, offers a great glimpse into her most recent work that I love, followed by 2007’s X. Tension is her latest album which was also received very well (I’m just not the biggest fan of it!)
She’s released 10 studio albums just since 2000 alone (16 in total since 1987). In the UK, her last four albums have all reached impressive chart positions: no.2 for Kiss Me Once in 2014, followed by three consecutive no.1s for Golden (2018), Disco (2020), and Tension (2023), with none of her albums falling below no. 6 in any of those 5 decades.
Incredibly, she's now the ONLY female artist in the UK to have achieved at least one no.1 album in five consecutive decades (80s, 90s, 00s, 10s, & 20s), joining an elite group: Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Paul Weller, and Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour-some big names she’s up there with!
With nine no.1 albums under her belt now (so far!), she's surpassed artists like Elton John and George Michael in the all-time charts leaderboard.
And to add to all this, she won her second Grammy for Padam Padam this year, and won the Global Icon Award at this Brit Awards 2024 (hence the performance you’ve watched in this video!). She's also just wrapped up a sold-out Las Vegas residency at The Venetian.
    The songs performed here are:
    - Padam Padam (Tension, 2023)
    - Can’t Get You Out Of My Head (Fever, 2001)
    - Love At First Sight (Fever, 2001)
    - All The Lovers (Aphrodite, 2010)
    Goddess of pop! 🔥🙌🏼❤️
