5:10 fell asleep so often to Greg's videos as well because it's so peaceful and I feel to comfortable. Best part is to find the spot that I last remembered and watch it again 😂
The Western Canadian accent and the American Southern accent is such a trip to see together. I had that experience when I went down to Florida 10 years back. Our accent is so normalized to us that we don’t even think about it. But you head somewhere like The South and you realize how different and distinct you sound.
The last time I was in Orlando (about 15 years ago) my Southern accent was the novelty there. Everyone I met was a Northern transplant or migrated up from Cuba. It was so funny that folks in Florida were enjoying this Carolina girl's Southern accent.
Absolutely loved this video one off the best, its so nice to see Greg taking a subscriber on a adventure and Tim is a great guy and i think he should start a channel, hope to see him again, all the best from a UK fan.
I love how Greg has became my favorite UA-camr and how he is Humble and him and Zack still are Good Friends! The World Needs More People Like Greg 💯🤙💪🙃
What a southern gentleman that Tim is. What a great dude. Shows you how awesome people from his neck of the woods are. Grab a person from the big city and see how that goes. I could only imagine grabbing someone from Seattle or Portland. Lol
Would love to see Tim again! You guys had great chemistry and I think your knowledge being shared first hand with people is so great I only wish it was me there! lol Great video Greg and keep doin what you're doin!
Tim will cherish that memory forever! I would too. I'd trade him places too. What a great trip. I guess this winter when I have time I'll have to try that bow drill fire making!
It's my favorite adventure ever! Love those Rocky Mountains. What a blessed gift it was to hangout with Greg Ovens and learn survival and bushcrafting from a pro like him. He lives it!! I don't think I could live it every day.
Love Oven's Bushcraft videos, but I think this is my new favorite. Great bushcraft chemistry between Greg and Tim. Would love to see more of these kinds of videos. Love the Tim, Mt. Airy and Andy Griffith connection. So cool. Huge Andy Griffith fan.
@@timothygwyn7282 Great video Tim, Maybe you and Greg can get together to do another one. Would be awesome to see your skills grow. I’m from Statesville N.C. Take care
Tim is very lucky to meet Greg and learned from him. Would love to see more subscribers meet and learn from Greg about survival and edible plants and mushroom. As usual, Finn doing his own thing 👍
Hello Greg! I love the way n which u teach people, never do u make them feel uncomfortable, inadequate or stupid, u r very patient, kind and understanding. U r one great instructor/teacher!!! I enjoyed this video as I do all of ur videos! Thank u
I'm in Australia, ready for sleep and an early start tomorrow for my work for the week, it's 10 30 pm and Greg drops a 1 hour bomb of entertainment in my notifications, here we go!!! Heating up the popcorn now!!! Love from Australia 🇦🇺💯
I am a female subscriber ,and i share Gregs channel and sprinkle it around the world. I love to share smiles and beautiful knowledge with people who love nature as much as we all do !❤❤❤ Ont.🇨🇦
I also watch these videos while I am waking up to start my day. Mr. Ovens videos are far less produced than a lot of others, really upping the IRL factor. Super important being able to distinguish how genuine Mr. Ovens is compared to others. The calm and peace that he translates is one of the most valuable characteristics I seek in a view. Thank you.
For a guy growing up in Idaho at 30 now. I cant help but chuckle at a lot in this video. Greg reminds me of someone I know and miss very much. I appreciate your videos. Thanks Greg.
Hey Greg, Rewatching this video, don't member?I said, but I hope I told ya how awesome I thought about you for incorporating a follower that actually can! Bless you just 4 that! Great video! Ol' Greg doesn't receive gifts very well, does he...Tim's clearly a thoughtful & caring man, the kind that'll literally give ya the shirt off his back if you needed it!! God bless you both🙏🙏
It's a nice, calm morning on the lake, AND THE FISH ARE BITING! That's the way I like to go camping and fishing. Congrats to tim on your 1st bow and drill fire. I would have been breaking out the Cordless drill, and going Techno-Flintstones! so far, The only drill fire I've been able to make was by using a harbor freight drill on the job....Kind of different, and it makes your fish taste funny.
The cordage segment reminded me of the Mayberry episode where the gentleman learns the simple pleasure of pealing an apple . I'm sure Tim would agree . Love the non commercial real deal @ Ovens . Thanks Greg .
I’m just like you Tim and I watch them over and over. I really enjoy Gregs videos and hopefully will get to meet you some day Greg! Keep the great videos coming! Thank you!
Yes, I know them pretty good. They are great folks. I love their music, too. They have a music store on Main St. Here in Mt.Airy. I've done busy with them several times.

Great video Greg ! Looks likes a Great time. Boiling food cooks the flavor out of it. Try giving them ribs a good sear all over, then double wrap them in foil. add a bout a quarter cup of water, beef broth, or barbecue sauce to the foil packet and let it slow cook on a lower heat for about 2 hours. I put my coals to one side of the grill, and start one side of it. I place my seasoned baby back ribs on other side of the grill, meat side up, and cook for 2 hours. At that time I take them off the grill and double wrap them in foil with about a half cup of pine apple juice, and place them back on the grill, meat side down, for another 2 hours. the ribs come off the grill fallin off the bone, melt in your mouth, tasty. Just like cooking a roast in the oven. Give it a good sear to caramelize the sugars in the fat. Then cook it in moisture to make it tender. Salt & pepper is all you need on beef, the fat will add tremendous flavor. Thank You for sharing your video, and bringing us along.
I really like the part in this video that Tim attained success with his first bow drill fire. It was a triumphant moment. Adult learning is so rewarding because the last time most people were taught something was when they were in their teens or twenties. They are eager to learn because they choose to be in that environment as opposed to being in the school setting when they were a kid. Nice man that Tim. Beautiful trip, and Greg Ovens--teaching the world what the world so desperately needs to know. We are all so grateful for you, truly.
Congratulations Tim your doing well learning from Greg I was rooting for you with that bow drill, looked like a hard bushcraft skill. Would be nice to see Tim and you together again in the near future seems like an awesome guy. thanks for letting us join you two fun to watch .
Thank you for rooting me on!! Honestly, the bow drill was a tremendous challenge, but when you have a coach that won't give up on ya and is as determined to see you succeed as you are to succeed...how can you not have success? For real, Greg is the best instructor/coach we all have to learn from. His channel is a Blessing to all that desire to be mentored by a real life mountain man/ bushcrafter. By God's divine guidance, he brought Greg into our lives through his videos. I was one privileged fellow to have Greg there instructing me, coaching me along the way, helping me, filling the atmosphere with encouraging words of hope and success. That time with Greg and the challenge of the bow drill, i will never forget or take for granted!!!! My success is his success. Hats off to Greg!!

Greg Ovens your a Star ⭐️ man! Your a humble guy that shows us his ideas and inventing fish traps that put the fish in the pan! Wow man God bless you brother and take care of yourself like you have because your THE STAR ⭐️ OF YOUR SHOW!!!
Just found you Greg...I've missed a lot. I will go back and view though. I watch many bush crafting channels as they remind me of growing up in Tennessee. My grandmother was from the Appalachian mountains with no plumbing cooking on fire and a moonshine still outback. I'm 50 but always have room to learn more and I learned a few things already with this video and a couple other ones I watched before this one. Great work brother keep it up!
Well done Tim on your first bow drill fire, watching that made me feel really happy for you. Great video Gregg absolutely loved watching. You and Finn stay safe out there.
Great content Greg. We really enjoy your content. People in the South do a different kind of bush craft. Similar, but mostly from a recliner inside the home with AC. Have fun Greg.
Deffinitly one of the best videos, Tim is an amazing man. Both them are great people and seemed to really enjoy each other's company. And the sheer delight on Tim's face when that bow drill fire lit still makes me smile even after the third time watching the vid. Keep it up Greg, you are awesome.
Hey Greg! Awesome video! Quick tip : if you switch out the treble hooks on your lures for singles, there's a lot less chance of damaging the fish. Sure, you'll miss the odd one, but the damage reduction is a worthy tradeoff in my opinion. Heck, in many trout streams and lakes, single hooks are mandatory for this very reason, down here in Europe! Keep livin' the dream, man! Thanks for bringing us along for the ride, as well as sharing your wealth of knowledge. Alright, that's enough a$$ kissing for one day... Have a good one.
I was fortunate enough to be able to show my wife an kids the Radium hot springs last year they got to see where I grew up it was awesome these videos help take the edge off missing home
