Hello, just wanted to clarify for future viewers: you scored incorrectly during the "value" phase. You're supposed to add up the total value of ALL merchandise on each ship (regardless of type), then compare the two ship's totals at each port. So, for each port, only ONE 20-coin payout is ever made (with no payout in the case of a tie.) I just re-read the rules to verify. It is also scored this way in the regular Medici game. Thanks!
