Ah I was really curious about how to achieve different styles like this. Great video, thank you for sharing!
Glad it was helpful! :)
Great overview of line styles. Really helpful video.
Thank you!! 😄
really cool :) they do feel like they are from different time periods of cartoon production:)
Thanks a lot!

Hanna Barbera is from the early 30's to 80's actually though. Flintstones started in the 30's. Yup for that old to look that good is 👌🏼
Flintstones were first broadcasted in the 60's, mate.
I like the anime on best.
I have a problem. Does anyone know why the pencil stroke appears only after releasing the mouse? I can´t see it as I draw the line. I use windows.
Does Krita still have any place in animation workflow or has Blender grease pencil been updated enough to not need Krita anymore?
Blender definitely has it's own cool perks, like being able to combine 2D and 3D. But when it comes to the variety in brushes and the control Krita offers with them, Krita definitely has it's place. Also stay tuned for some Krita videos coming soon on our channel! :D
@@binuherath9910 And you are?
Krita is still much better at drawing than Blender. If you don't need the 3D space or the vector features, you're likely better off with Krita.
But those two, the fact that you can truly place sketches in 3D space, and the fact that it's vector-based, meaning you can zoom in seamlessly without resolution issues, and also you can tweak strokes after the fact in very subtle ways that would be relatively tricky to do in raster-based programs, are quite big features.
Still, Krita's raster workflow is just so strong, if Blender wanted to be a true replacement for it (it doesn't want to to be clear, but *if* it wanted to), it'd have quite a lot left to go.
@@encapsulatio who make the tutorial lol
@@Kram1032 Well said! :D
now comes the hard part? which line work style to use and for what purpose? like how do you define what you need and will it work?
Here's My proposal as to how one should go about using this.
1. left frog style is the thinnest line work can be use for more of a serious story your telling like one piece, or naruto.
2. middle frog is the perfect balance between thin and thick line styles and should be use for normal stories but also not so serious like the current half fast tmnt or use as today modern standard as if you was to make it for TV or as a TV series.
3. right frog tells a more cartoony story like Dexter laboratory, or The Fairly OddParents. you know something with a joke or two in it! not meant to be taken seriously.
and with that said I think that sums up my proposal.
I don't feel like this is about blender very much... it doesn't go into any greasepencil or blender features. You could do this on any animation app.
