I just keep coming back to watch this as it could well be the most perfect car on sale today. Kudos to Bentley who have absolutely nailed the styling and engineering, that interior makes an Aston look like an Astra. Definitely has a place in my heated lottery win barn. Well done Harry for another great video, love your reviews.
You know what I love about these videos? He gave a ton to the community through Evo, and now our support of that funds him getting to own tons of amazing cars, and sharing it all with us!
To newcomers, Harry at first comes across as a bit eccentric. But he grows on you. After a while you realize that his novelty is that he is plain-spoken and unaffected. He has not been corrupted by the Jeremy Clarkson influence as have other reviewers, who by law must include lurid tail slides and whoops of delight in every evaluation - and keep reminding us that the review is really about them and their cleverness. With Harry what you see is what you get, which in this case is a serious car guy with vast experience and usually (not always) good judgment. Oh, and to top it off, he’s the kind of guy you’d like to have a beer with.
*john richards* He also doesn't do the irritating, completely fake falsetto laughter that many other reviewers deem essential every time they put their foot down.
Understood guys, I am aware of his history. I just love the fact that a guy in my age group is charming the largely young youtube car freaks. I have immense respect for his analysis and conveyance of what a specific car is like.
Another epic review from a proper petrolhead and not some BS self-promoting supercar channel. God praise you Harry Metcalfe! Have to say it's more attractive than the previous model but I still think that it'll struggle to shrug off that footballer/rapper/nouveau riche image. Adore that color though
Scott 70 hopefully it doesn’t depreciate like the old one. Good friend of mine has a nice 06 convertible which he can’t sell as it’s worthless. I’m looking for my second ever car so maybe I might trade him my 07 Suzuki Swift!!!!!!
Scott 70 don’t you dare diss a lad’s first car. I even once cheekily drove it to a JDM meet and parked it in the middle of all the high performance cars. Only reason I didn’t get kicked out is because it’s a twin cam!!!!!!!
What a brilliant review! Way, way, way out of my league, But I thoroughly enjoyed this. Your knowledge and enthusiasm really shines through, thanks for sharing.
When i owned the previous generation Continental T from 2002 i remember looking at the then fairly new Continental GT at P & A Woods, the dealer said they were not a big fan of the GT stating it had numerous problems. Now my Conti T wasnt without fault but it was a stunning car compared to the Audi TT like shape of the 1st gen Conti GT. This new model has again stirred my interest in the GT range and it looks stunning.. This or a DBS Superleggera .. difficult call. Harrys videos are simply the best for those really interested in owning the cars he tests in real life situations .. 1st class reviews as always.
I love the fact that when Harry says '' let's get to the business end'' he still means the engine and not the infotainment ;-) keep up the excellent work
Spot on Harry and well done again. No over modulated music from video games or over produced graphics or talentless presenters like most from the car channels, just pure honest videos about the car and your experience. Truly brilliant Harry. Every manufacturer should be begging you to review their cars.
Harry - a terrific review (as usual.) I was happy to see Bentley go with the dual clutch and not the torque converter...all that power can be shifted like back in the good old days, for more fun. Rubino red is a WOW color, and with the linen interior, a natural combination.
I think a lot of the other 'car youtubers' can really listen and learn from Harry. I love the technical detail Harry goes into about the car, history of the brand/model and real world applications of the car - rather than just someone kid revving a Lambo, screaming his head off around London at 20mph
Harry- your a top reviewer man. Hats off. I love how you give a 205gti the same level of enthusiasm and importance in your reviews as you do for a bentley. A true petrol head.
Loved the look of this car over the old shape. I’ve promised myself one of these cars in that same colour. Problem is at £160,000 starting price it looks like i’ll have to wait around 10 years for a one owner, low mileage, Fsh example. Excellent vlog Harry.
Only this guy would talk about a 200 grand car as if he’s describing a cheese sandwich - never gets over excited - absolutely brilliant the best car reviews online. Keep it up Harry!
Good evening, I do not speak English and I am not good at writing it too, but I made sure to record my admiration in your channel and the accurate information you provide about cars. You have my utmost respect and appreciation
I just love how Harry talks about the details in his reviews and gives us the benefit of his years of experience.Personally, the Bentley isn't my type of car but nice to see a considered review.Btw, can anyone tell me the name of the sunglasses Harry is wearing ?
Hey H.....my golf does the same..... Actually.....i don’t own a golf. Love the look of the redesign. It’s been almost 10 years since my last Bentley.....and i didn’t really miss it......until now! Thanks for the review. You have left me yearning for more!
Been waiting for this review for a while. What a cracking car, and what a cracking review - best I have seen or read to so far. Thank You once again Harry!
Very well explained........ Love the shape and quality interior. This engine is new to me as well as i ddn't likened the old W12 so much as well.... So The Bentley Boys have returned!
I saw one of these at Silverstone yesterday. No adaptive cruise control as standard? Not sure I like the quilted seats and the bling hatching inside the headlights. Its as though Bentley are trying to add tat to a car that would be great in a more simple form. The Arabs will love it though.
Great review, in depth, honest, knowledgable, very well presented indeed. In fact just your 'phew' expression at 19:30 says it all with no words at all ! Yes, this car is a winner, 'the' winner, in a world class market, it has it all, really everything. Others lack some one thing or other, eg the Aston DB11, same price, has no rear passenger accomodation, so the DB11 has to be ruled out, but this car delivers and exceeds on everything. Well done Bentley, and thankyou for this video, just as excellent as this superb car. Alan, England.
A Conti GT isn't normally my sort of bag, even though I've driven a few and admire them for what they are. But this is absolutely stunningly well exectuted. Lots of unexpected want.
Love your videos. Have to say the option list seem expensive even by Bentley standards for what they contain. ZF 8 speed auto are available with torque converter from 300 to 1000Nm.

I love this car, I just don’t understand why the developed their own infotainment system yet used the tacky plastic buttons on the steering wheel which they use on the golf
The infotainment system is borrowed from Porsche's Panamera. As to why they do this, its to bring down cost of development (hence why we have automotive groups); if Bentley were to develop a proprietary system, it would bring costs up, and it most likely wont be as reliable as a system thats been developed to perfection to suit maximum number of applications. Even the new Chiron has an Audi R8 steering wheel in disguise.

The interior is really just superb. They seriously nailed the design.
plastic
its plastic
voice of reason metal lower grilles are an option. Personally I'd want black metal grilles all over
voice of reason shame there's no 20" option, the brakes are seriously huge though so for good reason. The V8 might get smaller discs and twenties
Oh, stop it !
Great video, thanks for posting. A breathe of fresh air that its done by someone matured and isn't yelling or swearing every 20 seconds.
What a beautiful car in a great colour finish. I'm just shocked that it has taken me this long to see this video! Great review Harry as always.
When he starts the videos in his garage I can’t help but to continually look around to see if there’s anything new in the background.
Me too. Those two Red lambo’s. I could live in that garage.
LarryUK - It is Nicer than some houses, a proper setup.
LarryUK Yeah toss a coin between taking the countach or the testarossa to Asda!
Yes, btw: We saw him fall in love with the Duetto Spider during a review and now I see he couldn't resist 'la grande bellezza'. :D

What a great dramatic start to this episode, Harry. Lovely looking Bentley. Great review as always.
Just found you on youtube and just finished a binge through your past videos. Keep it coming Harry!
You're in luck for some superb hi-end journalism - watch the motorcycle reviews too
Don't know how you've lived until now
Welcome to Harry's Garage, haha, I wish I could watch them all for the first time again, this is seriously the best car channel on UA-cam. :-)

One of the best channels on UA-cam, never disappoints!
Just a big fan of the mature analysis and objectivity you provide in each video!
It’s great that a guy of Harry’s age can create this channel and reach uber-cool status in car world.
Harry wasn’t always this age. Harry is one of the biggest petrol heads on the planet. I don’t think you know his past. Look it up. Mr Evo.
Understood guys, I am aware of his history. I just love the fact that a guy in my age group is charming the largely young youtube car freaks. I have immense respect for his analysis and conveyance of what a specific car is like.

The lower grille should be alloy/chrome - not plastic/black.

Iam not loving that Chrysler front grill but my god it’s a work of art
It's a classic Bentley front grille! Blame Chrysler for copying them.
12:28 Imho, he reason for that new dual-clutch box is sportiness, the old torque-converter 8-speed automatic (ZF 8HP) is capable of much more than 900 NM, it takes the 1100 NM of the Mulsanne without any complaints - another possible reason is that the new Continental is very much derived from the Porsche Panamera, which introduced this new ZF 8-speed DCT (or PDK, how Porsche names it), and once it was in there, they might just kept it in.
