As usual, Jeff and Sarah, another intriguing episode... I love the historic blend of history, complete with pictures and the Hollywood connection... very interesting. Thank you for giving us a scenic tour of the town as it stands now, and past, historical accounts. 👏💛💥
Thank you Jeff and Sarah. I love how you place the overlay of the TV scenes as it relates where you are standing. That’s just another reason that puts your videos up many notches above other videos. Keep ‘em coming!!! .....Russell D.
Highway To Heaven always used to bring a tear to my eye, especially the final episodes! (No spoilers)😊 Once again a great historical video, but something rather upsetting is the level of graffiti. God bless Jeff and Sarah🙏
I lived in Sonora for 4 years, Columbia for 6 years and Soulsbyville for 4 years but I’m originally from Modesto and live there now. Really glad to see someone telling the history of where I’m from and where I grew up
Never say never, many park stuffed and mounted steam locomotives have been brought back to life and are operating under their own steam again. Long Live RR Steam!
Nice history tour of the town. Definitely could use some revitalization. Love the old steam locomotive and abandoned theater. Great research on cemetery tv scenes as well. Enjoyed watching...thank you! 🇺🇸🚜👍
My husband and son are buried there in the grassy area. Also his mom, pa, granny and grandpa, brother, sis, brother-in-law and many many friends. I saw the them film the bar scene, day and night. My overnight film shop, B’s Picture It, was to the right of the Logger’s, on the corner downstairs. Goooo Summerville Bears! My daughter’s schools. She graduated in 92. I moved away so this was nice to see.
You produce such great content. Keep up the great work! I love seeing now and then photos of locations that you visit. You're also looking great for being almost 60!
I go to High School up the street! Summerville High School, named after the town, founded 1911 in Tuolumne but eventually moved up the hill. Really enjoy your content!
Your videos never cease to amaze me. As I used to live in the Valley. I traveled and documented much as you are doing back in the days of video tapes and VHS. I love the history of the area and appreciate the way you are sharing it. (Huell Howser was my idol in those days)
The Cornish were serious miners. They'd dig holes atop the cliffs above the ocean, then dig everywhere, including under the sea. There's a good 5 season British TV series called Poldark. It's a new series, but it set in the post "American War" era of the late 1700's to early 1800's.
A nice walk through of the town and surrounding area. There are quite a bunch of sites used in Movies and Television shows. More than I would have guessed. It's nice country to just walk through also. tank you Jeff & Sarah for a kickback easy walkabout with more fun informative facts......Have a good day.....'till next time....Bye for now!
Thanks for walking through the town & showing us Now & Then of the Buildings. I Love that. I also liked how you lined up the movie shots at the Graveyard. That was cool. I really like this little town ❤ Thank you Jeff
Thanks for sharing another informative video with us Jeff and Sarah. I've been through this old town many times but never took the time to actually visit like you two are doing. I'm adding this to my "To Do" list. Sarah is sure an Adventurer, she should carry a video camera too. You two make my day, thank you. Stan
Disheartening to see graffiti on historical buildings in rural areas. The theater would be a cool museum if it was in better shape. Thanks for all your research for another enlightening video.
You have amazing genes. I thought you were in your 30s or 40s! Loved seeing the cemetery shots from the TV show and the theater from the inside, without the roof. I'm always so impressed with the amount of research and photos and videos you are able to assemble into a weekly video. You're also an excellent writer. Another fascinating trip, Jeff!
You're very kind, Steve. Thank you very much. I know you've been to the Bay Area before but hopefully next time you're up here you can swing through the fabulous gold country!

What a fascinating episode! These were bustling towns at one time; remembered, and not forgotten. My dad, as a teenager in the 1940's, was a projectionist at the only movie theater in his small town.
As an actor, I appreciate you finding the filming locations of High Noon and Highway To Heaven. I think it's great that you research so thoroughly the stories of the people in the cemeteries that you visit...definitely a labor of love.🙂💕

And when Highway to Heaven was filmed there, we lived right up the street. I have a polaroid of me with John French!
Hi Jeff and Sarah, My wife and I LOVE your channel and we want to thank you for all your videos. Hope to run into you guys sometime, since we love taking road trips also.
Great episode... I spent a great deal of time in Tuolumne as a kid, my mom's side of the family lived there. My Grandfather worked at the West Side lumber mill, as did my great grandfather... I think. Both my grand parents are buried at that cemetery, their house was a couple blocks behind the park at Willow and Main. Crawled around that locomotive several times. Thanks for sharing.
Hi guys! Great vlog in a very interesting old town and cemetery ! Nice to see a shot of Michael Landon ! Keep up the great work !! Deborah Winnipeg Canada
Not sure if I was ever there but Great Job as usual.. and I love Sara’s interaction with animals and the fact that you can take a minute to show that... just gives it a warm feeling!! Especially on a cold day! Sara and Jeff Thank You!
I have never had as much enjoyment, learning things I never would have stumbled upon. You've done a good job at showing whats there to be found if you do the toilsome research. Thanks again!
My oldest son lives in Tuolumne and his house is just down the street from this cemetery. It's cool how you told the stories about some of the people buried there.
Awesome video! Me and my wife enjoying exploring old , abandoned and historical places here in New England. I found your channel while doing research. It must be a generational thing. Great work 👍💪✌️
Great old town! Lots of cool history. ... Ok a New Deal FDR building. The steal reinforcement in the concrete bridge is a RR track. Well kept historical cemetery. Sarah should have her own channel .., Horse Hunters. You made his day. Thank You guys.
I loved this visit. I always have to stop first to find the location on Google maps, so I can understand better where you are.---I'm down south, northwest of SB.
That hit the spot tonight enjoyed very much as usual my friend. Jeff and Sarah you guys have a great personality and it shows on the videos and are a great team. Thanks so much love these vlogs.
My wife and I used to live in Columbia and we love all of Tuoleme co.!!!!!We live in FT,Jones ca now you guys should do some vids. up here alot of gold rush history up Here THANKS FOR WHAT YOU DO!!!!!
Fort Jones the city or the small forested area by sheep ranch? I drove there to find dirt roads to explore but I turned around in fear of getting shot or something. Is it sketchy like that there?
Are you talking about ft. jones before you get to Etna? My good friends moved up there a few years ago, from Tuolumne county, and we miss them, but are happy for them too! :)
I have lived a couple miles outside of town (Tuolumne) for 20 years and did not know a lot of the history. I really appreciated learning about the town and old buildings that are so familiar to me. The cemetery was particularly interesting as I have never been there. Including scene overlays with Michael Landon and Victor French at the cemetery and scenes in town from “Highway To Heaven” brought it all to life.
Fantastic episode! I really like the Michael Landon tie-ins. Interesting cemetery stories and audio "zingers" as well ("the projector room was there").
Another awesome episode Jeff, its nice to see Sarah poking around with you too. This one looked like an editing nightmare for you but for us its awesome seamless content. We all thank you sooooo much, excellent!!!
After watching your video, I watched a couple of episodes of Highway to Heaven. Wouldn't it be nice if more shows like that were on TV today? Michael Landon created quality shows that any generation should be able to enjoy.
I've got to get to the Cali gold country after watching your vids. I've been to the Colorado and Nevada mining areas. The only one I've been to in Cali is Bodie. I grew up in Long Beach, now in Colorado, I don't know how I missed that area.Your vids got me planning my next vaca. You guys are the best !!!
That was terrific Jeff. I enjoyed every part including Sarah’s break and enter in the old movie house. I also had a chuckle of the end credits with the Sidekick comment. Thanks again Guys from Down Under😎😎🐝
That is admirable. I wish all cemeteries were cared for by youth volunteers. It might teach respect. Far too many cemeteries are vandalized by young people.
Been up there recently, sad that most the downtown is boarded up and closed. I wanted to see the memorial and found bricks that people bought for their support of the project. Great tour, thanks.
Jeff, you and Sarah did an amazing job with this video presentation. I just subscribed because, I can't wait to see what else the both of you come up with. Keep up the fantastic work 👌

Great old town! Lots of cool history. ... Ok a New Deal FDR building. The steal reinforcement in the concrete bridge is a RR track. Well kept historical cemetery. Sarah should have her own channel .., Horse Hunters. You made his day. Thank You guys.
I've got my channel but not just about animals. Check it out. 😃
Horse Hunters .... hmmmm. Horse Hunters. I’ll let her do that one.
The concrete bridge is on the old road into Tuolumne, not a RR bridge.
Thank you! Sorry I am late in expressing our appreciation!
@@jbenziggy lol no problem my friend. But thanks so much.
Enjoyed it.Thanks
Great video. Very interesting.
Glad you think so! Thank you so much for letting us know!
Glad you enjoyed it, Bette! Stay safe up there in God's country!
I could have watched for another whole hour !
So Good
Wow, that's quite a compliment. But we don't want you to get sick of us too soon! LOL! Thanks, friend!
Great video as always!
Thanks again, Jennifer! Much appreciated!
Hi Jeff and Sarah, great vlog once again. Looks like you might have stumbled on the template for the worlds first movie drive in :)
Fantastic episode! I really like the Michael Landon tie-ins. Interesting cemetery stories and audio "zingers" as well ("the projector room was there").
I get caught not paying attention 🤪
Another awesome episode Jeff, its nice to see Sarah poking around with you too. This one looked like an editing nightmare for you but for us its awesome seamless content. We all thank you sooooo much, excellent!!!
Editing nightmare indeed! Ha ha. Glad you recognize how hard it really is! Thanks again!
Hey Jeff and Sara neat video I would love to to visit some of them places you guys are awesome Randy from Kentucky.
We thank you very much Randy! Glad you’re enjoying our videos from Kentucky! Only been there once way back when I was a kid in 1975!
After watching your video, I watched a couple of episodes of Highway to Heaven. Wouldn't it be nice if more shows like that were on TV today? Michael Landon created quality shows that any generation should be able to enjoy.
I love Gold Country. Thank you!
Great episode. Really like the video overlay you did at the cemetery. so cool to see
The truck tractor at the end is a WWII military one.
Jan Blake; It kinda looks like a White. A place I used to work had an old tractor very much like this one.
That’s a diamond T 6X6 military truck I really want it
This was another great adventure full of info. I really want to go visit this town for sure along with the other gold rush towns in the area. 👍
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Another great episode.
Thanks very much Grant! You should plan that visit!
This is really cool to see Tuolumne city on here I don't live to far from there. Great video
The Michael Landon footage superimposed over the graveyard is cool!
Thank you, Dan! Glad you liked it!
That was terrific Jeff. I enjoyed every part including Sarah’s break and enter in the old movie house. I also had a chuckle of the end credits with the Sidekick comment. Thanks again Guys from Down Under😎😎🐝
No break....just entered 😁
The first job I had as a kid was cleaning up those grave sites. Went to Summersville elementary and Summersville high. Now I raise my kids here.
That is admirable. I wish all cemeteries were cared for by youth volunteers. It might teach respect. Far too many cemeteries are vandalized by young people.
My step kids grew up there, right across from elementary school. Possibly you recognize my profile name. Both are successful and doing well.
Another great episode! Thanks!
Hello you two.
Another good one really interesting, I live in England so these videos make a nice change
to our quaint old English villages. thanks.
Thank you both very much, enjoyed it like usual!!! 60, okay, 74 & don't even remember 60!!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Keep up the fantastic work 👌
Welcome! Check out all of the videos we have produced! We put them out every week!
@@jbenziggy I will gladly do that. I honestly believe I will be a lifelong follower.
Hello Jeff & Sarah! Big Fan! Could I ask where you got those great photos of Tuolumne city? thanks!
