Yes, the comparison with dice chips help. Fantastic reviews, I've watched almost every video now. After purchasing a set of dice chips I found this channel and now I have some Monte Carlo chips in the mail. They were on clearance so they cost the same as dice chips, and I really like the "overly flashy" design and color balance.
BRPro does semi-custom's of these for not much more than the stock chips; allowing one to change colors and denominations. They may even allow the "Lucky Dragon" text to be switched out (or even eliminated) as well but I'm not sure of that yet. I say "yet" given I'm considering a custom set of these myself and will know when I get around to finalizing the details with them. Oh... and as far as hands go I had the wonderous 2, 7 off-suit. Woo!
The design looks great. The biggest issue I have with them is the font they used. The numbers look like they have been slapped onto the design without any regard of blending them in. I would buy these if they were blank or the font blended in better.
I'm not a huge fan of the font used in the denominations. I think it would have fit better with a similar font style that is used on the branding, instead of the Impact-style "memey" font.
I agree! The font is an insane contrast to the design. That's why I ultimately went with the Golden Dragon set. I feel they're a substantial upgrade to this style of chip.
~Did the Lucky Dragons not send a black or blue sample? Or 10 and 100? ~What kind of reasoning do you think the orange one was left undesignated? Maybe so it can be a .50 , 2.50 or a 20 when needed..?
+delcore123456 Nope, we're all just waiting to see about the Paulsons. I don't have any insider information if that's what you are asking. Thanks for watching, good question.
Great review, thanks. lol you are making it difficult for me to choose a set, feel like buying multiple sets!!! I think I am going to get one china clay set and 1 ceramic set - the are just so different its difficult to pick one over the other. Is there any chance you can review the pokerstars EPT ceramic set?
+Raúl Izquierdo Pujante Wish I could help, I don't know euro distributors. You might be able to find a neutral location, a shop or some place and get several people together and put in a huge order and split the shipping cost. I really would find a shop to accept the shipment so no one person is running off with all of the chips. Hope that helps. Anyone know a good European poker chip distributor let us all know. Thanks for watching, good question.
Yeah I remember using digital scales in college. For "research purposes".

just got 600 Lucky Dragons & I'm very pleased with them. What sold me were the chips edging that contrasted well with the digits
How do the print at the edge spot?
