Sounds like her pipes need replacing, ooow sounds naughty lol. The evil roots, sounds like some of those bushes need chopping out. I'm always amazed at the strength of roots, they force there way through joints so easy.
Here in America, we have equipment rental places where you can rent the industrial sewer snake machine for a day for about $30. It's much larger spool, has a 1/2" cable that can go nearly 200 yards, with a couple of blades on the end, so that it chops the roots out as it is spinning.. At these equipment rental places, you can rent just about anything, from a giant forklift, to a riding lawnmower, to a chainsaw, to any number of power tools, drills, saws, jackhammers, etc.... Including a few different sizes of sewer snakes-- well worth doing it right if you're going to get poop on your hands. Typically you have a cleanout at your house, and you push it from there, all the way out to the alley into the big Main sewer. Sometimes You have to pull your toilet, and push it from there, and it's long enough to go all the way to the main line-- and once you've done that, it's usually good for another 10 years at least, depending on how bad the trees are getting in.
Interesting. Around here the rental shops are too precious to rent out that kind of equipment. If you can't do it yourself you are forced to hire a joker for about a £150 ($200) call out charge that includes 40 minutes on site. Their tactics stink worse than the drains If they cant unblock in 40 minutes then they engage the scare tactics to get an eye watering repair fee. Best roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
Firstly, I saw no smoke, magic or not! Therefore, I demand a refund! 😤 B. I actually engaged my safety squints, stopped breathing through my nose, and braced myself (I guess, in much the same way the person who made the _"deposit"_ must have done) in anticipation of the "thing" you caught making its YooToob debut as it exited the pipe. I was relieved (again, in much the same way the person who made the _"deposit"_ must have been) to see that it was just a soggy hay bail. 3 - While watching the video, I'm doing 47 other things at the same time at my desk (massively exaggerating being one), so I missed the bit where you said it was a root ball causing the issue; imagine my surprise when you dragged out Cousin Itt! I thought to myself _"I know we're meant to eat more fibre as we get older, but come on, wtf is _*_THAT?!_*_ Some sort of industrial-strength, giant Shredded Wheat?!"_ 😲 (IV) What do you mean I can't get a refund on something I haven't paid for? 😤 You had me laughing at the whole cross-contamination situation, that's usually when you get a really itchy nose. Thanks for the thoroughly entertaining video; it had it all: drama, suspense, and horror. 😂
😂Thanks for the comment. I was going to light a scented candle but after a risk assessment completed in triplicate it was deemed to risky. Also we forgot to put a sign on the toilet ' Do not sit here , rodding in progress' . I remember the fascination of the kids when they were small.. when it comes to drains it seems that everyone is truly curious and can't wait to see what will emerge...

I think it is the flange joint failed rather than a crushed pipe. One day maybe I will be allowed a thorough inspection.!
