the closest are the baby yoshis in nsmbu where each color has a different power

Yoshi Evolution has a nice ring to it. Like its a game that let's you create your own unique Yoshi and explore the world. Someone needs to pitch this to Nintendo.

@@ladyriethegoldendelmo5441 Nintendo have games abandoned for years (20+), in consoles/cartridges that are impossible to get to day, and if Nintendo finds that you are distributing the roms/emulators, then they will sue you.
Also, don't make remakes of games abandoned for years (20+), they will sue you too.
Sometimes you could even go to prison.

Is it just me or an acid spitting Yoshi actually sounds like an awesome concept? Kinda like mixing a fire flower with a Yoshi, but even more lethal
Here is one reason they wouldn't add it: the killings are too graphic (yes I know they could change it to the standard killing animation)

it's like ultron since every time it was updated it killed itself each version.

Y'know, I absolutely love those Yoshi sprites, but i kinda wish those last two yoshis still had the boots. The boots are part of their flesh after all

Ditch the gore and this could actually be something cool to work with in a real game. Like, Yoshi gets a power up that allows him to take on a more physically intense form akin to Bowser himself!

Well he didn't force or even explicitly encourage it. It's not like he used a pokemon evolution stone on them. I think Mario's a victim of circumstance here.
@@dark2023-1lovesoni You sure about that? He brought Yoshi along with him to eat his enemies and that made Yoshi lay eggs to create the mutants. In part, Mario is responsible for the mutant Yoshis.
@@smanly3274 I think intent is an important factor. Mario didn't feed the Yoshi for the specific purpose of causing it to lay an egg. He was exploiting it's hunger as a way to easily kill/destroy the enemies along his path. Yoshi was a weapon, like a war horse. Mario is a warrior not a breeder, he likely didn't even know it could lay eggs until it actually happened.
(PS: I just enjoy fun debates 🙂)

Okay, having an acid spitting Yoshi would be wicked in a Mario game. A yoshi that has a spiky tail and run a lot faster than a normal one would be wicked also; it would be sick to acid create dry bone enemies and the second spit would kill them. What if acid yoshi rare in castle levels but Mario left them when entering the boss door or something.
Sometimes these videos have game mechanics that would kinda nifty if they were actually in the game. A rotation of yoshi powers could be pretty cool.
It could be like Yoshi’s Island, in that there’s say, 5 or 6 different types of Yoshis and they have levels built around their powers.
Like the Spiked Tail Yoshi could have things like boulders to break with the tail and is able to run up walls to do a series of wall jumps to advance.
While acid spitting Yoshi could have things like hidden passages that can be opened by melting holes in the walls, or freeze enemies in place so you can use them as platforms.
Mario's reflexes are on point.

Different subspecies of Yoshis sounds like an awesome idea that I’m surprised Nintendo hasn’t done it already. I guess we have the baby Yoshis with various powers, but we never see them grow.

This makes me want a Yoshi look a like in Pokémon, like a fossil Pokémon that looks like a bootleg or something. It could be a two stage evo, or maybe a one stage with different forms based on it's color.

The last mushroom evolved yoshi reminded me of a metroid Dread Lizard Boss.
Probably makes sense that if you skip a few years the planet turns into a metroid planet mission.
They started to turn into dragons and then they started to look like something only Samus could take out.

Reminds me of that old April Fool's prank that a game magazine put out years ago for Pokémon Red & Blue where it claimed you could evolve a Dragonite (or Dragonair, I can't remember which) into a Yoshi with a Fire Stone! I actually tried the suggested method back in the day (I had seen a doctored screenshot of a Yoshi in Pokémon that was used back in the day to fool people) & of course it didn't work! Mind you today with mods you could probably do it, but its funny how this short reminded me of that little bit of childhood nostalgia!
