This was AWESOME to see, Thank You!! I really love this Jam song, and getting to see Bruce's (wonderful!) playing all throughout the song was a treasure! *happy* :D
Now when I hear this song years later in this stripped back format it could have easily been a song The Beatles could have done. It's as good as any of the best Beatles songs
Mark Brzezicki on drums. Not possible to go wrong. Those who've made negative comments are clearly not musicians, just sheep with too much wool in their ears.
Well said - he only drummed on The Cult "She Sells Sanctuary" the whole 1985 Love LP and did session drums on countless other productions - Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, The Pretenders, etc - alongside his Big Country career and support of The Jam on their final tour..........not a bad drummer at all!?!
Love Paul and Bruce, but that drummer is too splashy. I know he's from Big Country and was good for their sound. He's way to heavy handed for this song.
Foxtons an absolute beast on bass.
Bruce is a brilliant musician.

That is amazing bass playing and bass sound.

Sounds more like a Who song to me but that's my opinion.
Great to hear such a solid drummer on this song. Love what these guys are doing, keeping the songs and spirit alive of The Jam.

Yeah he's a great drummer, prob not his first choice in music though but he's good to listen to.
That snare build up is missing though.
Wow. Mark is a great drummer. Good pick up I didn't immediately recognise him.

Emotionally I hate this song as I knew they were splitting up!
Close the garage door so the neighbors don't complain..........el sucko!

literally the opposite of what you say is true - he's totally restrained in this song - you're clearly not a drummer.
This is how the original should have sounded, without the girl and piano backing.
