I know this is a couple of years ago, I just came across this today Nov 9, 2023. I liked how you explained about the different sizes of the cups. It's in bottom 19 cups, middle 17 cups and head 15 cups?
Hello there Barbara. Thank you for your lovely comment. The answer to your question is no....I used 393 cups in total to make the snowman. Each section of his body (base, middle and head) uses a certain amount of cups....I outline in the video how many cups I used for each ROW of the section I was creating....as each sections has numerous rows of cups. I hope this helps. ☃☃☃
@@CrystalBest It does help a lot. How many of packages of each size did you get for this project? I don't think I asked the question correctly. What I meant is on the first row of cups, did you use 19? I was trying to refer the the starting row of the base for each section.

I so needed to see this. I'm doing a decorating contest at my job and I wanted to do the cup snowman on the door. And I wasn't sure if foam cups would work. This was extremely helpful
So I am in the process of making this and I got all of my cups from smart and final and my #of cups being used is not adding up to your description. So instead of 26 cups for the bottom, I used 24(and kind of feel like I can take away on more to give it a more leveled & stable base)….. Is anyone else running into this issue ??
I've heard this before. Apparently different brands of cups are made differently (taller and thinner, or shorter and wider yet they hold the same amount of liquid) so this cannot be avoided unless you get the exact brand I used. I'm glad you found a way to make it work still and hope it turns out great for you. Merry Christmas ⛄

I definitely think it can be used outside.....cups are literally made for liquids! You may have to go turn him over if it rains tho lol. To anchor him maybe use a really sturdy glue on to a block of wood or use a sand bag on the inside.....oh that's a clever idea....so put the bag empty inside and then fill with sand and tie it. That ought to keep him put! Hopefully it wouldn't crush the cups. Hmmm so not too much sand I guess...if you try it let me know what works. I've only ever used mine inside. This is my 4th year using the same one. It lasts long!!! ☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️ Happy Holidays!
Hey Miss Crystal! It's me again. I could tell plainly that you left the top of the bottom snow ball, the base, open at the top so that the middle section, the body, could sit in the, I'll call it the cradle. But the I did not see if you used the same method between the middle and the top? Did you just sit the head as a complete sphere on the middle as a complete sphere? Or did you leave a section of the middle open like the bottom and sit the head down into it for stability? If you just put the complete spheres together, how did you adhere them so they won't roll of if bumped or wind blown? Thanx for ur help if you can. I'll understand if you can't. Be well!
Hi there Ish. No problem at all ❤️❤️ Yes I absolutely left the bottom section more open to fit the middle ball. The top and middle are full circles and just rest on each other for me. The scarf and the lights help them stay together. I only use mine inside so blowing away isn't an issue for me and it goes in a corner where it wouldn't be knocked down. You can. However hot glue them together if you would like. Or you can leave one of the rows off the top section of the middle ball so the top ball fits in nicely. I left mine as is because I like to break it down to store it so I can use it over and over. I've had the same one for 4 years now. ☃️❤️
@@CrystalBest Oh thank you! You're such a delight. Yes mine will be for outside and I will surely bolt it down somehow. I'll just bug you one last time to let you know if I worked everything out and was successful. 😃💌

love this snow man yet I can not get 26 12oz cups to line up, I can get 19 to line up. what am I doing wrong
Hi there. I'm so thrilled you are trying the craft. I'm not certain what you're doing wrong. What type of cups are you using and how are you sticking them together?
@@CrystalBest Hi Crystal thank you for your response, I appreciate that. I am using the 12oz foam cup, I did a still shot of yours because mine has a lip on as does yours. I got 19 around for perfect circle, then when I tried to keep going the shape got distorted. I ended up finishing the bottom part, and looks so cute. no-one else seems to have had the same problem as myself within your comments🤔 I will let you know how my little guy turns out. love your videos
How many cups of each size do I need??
It's all outlined in the video description Pam. Click under the video and check it out ⛄❤️ let me know if you find it ☃️☃️☃️

He's great❣️ How'd you make the hat?

Doesn't the hot glue melt the cups? Don't the lights melt them too?
It didn't melt my styrofoam cups at all! I believe it will melt plastic cups so it depends on what you are using.
Nice! How tall was it?
He's over 5 feet tall. ☃️❤️
I made it, a lot of nervs, 12 oz 7 oz and 4 oz, it did not work for me with 12 oz 8 oz and 6 oz, thanks for your presentation
