After the Virtus coming out I started to consider this HPA kit for my MCX. I were pretty much just out for more consistency in power output (without buying a totally new and expensive gun with accessories).. But according to this; I would not bother buying the conversion kit myself. The fps numbers were not what I woulda expected (no idea though how my own MCX shoots since not owning a chrono - and the gun is not really in original shape anymore) - but the numbers were not as consistent as hoped. I woulda went for a .177 Virtus PCP also - if they woulda made one.. just to not have to buy .22 pellets..
@PL Lyons Yup. I've now owned a Virtus for about 4 months or so. About 2500-3000 pellets thru it by now. Absolutely fantastic fun. Been very happy with it. Bought a €6 adapter so I can use the Virtus tank on my .177 MCX if I want to - but I have not even felt a need to try that out. Used instead the adapter to build a pressure tester for the Virtus regulator. And I found a real bargain of RWS Hobby pellets a while back - so my .22 pellet shelf has been pretty well filled up.

@Garrett B I wouldn't presume to know as much about their products as Sig Sauer, but as they think it's important enough a thing as to make and supply with the gun then I think it would be churlish not to use it, but then that's just me, pmsl
Grear looking rifles but I think I will stick with my Airforce Condor SS .25 and my Hatsan bullboss .22. Both are matchstick accurate at thirty yards and pack a very solid punch to whatever target you put in front of it. The Airforce Condor SS .25 definitely takes first place in power. It actually put a dent one sixteenth of an inch deep and the perfect shape of a pellet head into my .22 long rifle bullet rated spinner targets at my thirty yard range. Definitely one that will put food on the table.
Yes, Those are real airguns, These Sigs are more like toys, or BB guns. Airforce Talon was my first airgun over 20+ years ago. Thanks for watching! -Nate
@@AirgunChannel very good choice on the talon. If you like the talon you will go absolutely nuts over the Condor SS. Especially in .25 caliber. It's pretty close to the same power as some .22lr rounds and is pretty quiet. Plus half the cost to shoot and you get more ammo. I don't even scare birds and squirrels when I'm shooting in the side yard. And they have enough punch to drop coyote and wild boar with headshots within 75 yards.
They look cool but they cant hit the broad side of a barn.. I have one converted to hpa. Its only plus is you can shoot hundreds of shots on a fill. some day i might break it down and try and gain more power that could increase accuracy..
well i put a heavier hammer spring in and well i recommend not doing it.. no change in fps.. and it won't recarge the cocking mechanism.. going to put it back to original ..
Great video! Thanks for the review. The short version appeared to be losing gas around the magazine. I'm not impressed with the fps or the accuracy of these guns. I didn't see 700 fps in either gun. Can you turn up the power on the hpa? Still looks like a fun gun.
@@AirgunChannel yes you can but you'll need a Ninja hpa Bottle to mod the shims inside or get the Super High Pressure Preformance Regulator I have this on my MCX and it's a Beast with RWS Superpoint 8.2 gr at 540fps but if you want Overkill try the Excite prometheus 4.5 gr. pistol pellets they are steel Wadcutters with a plastic skirt 732 fps. out of a 8 inch barrel. but it's Loud too also you'll get 4 mags. out of the SHP . at this Power before you it drops in FPS. there are also 1400 psi output Reg. out there too but that would be Dangerous I would'nt try it if you vaule your Life.
@@joseglenn4435 where can I get a ninja hpa bottle? Do have a link or video that shows how to adjust or increase speed or distance? Does this mod have any effect on power? What do I have to do internally to this gun if I wnated to increase speed, power, accuracy?
@@Camself , Diana Chaser pistol. Then make your own shoulder stock of PVC tubing. Mine works fine. Quality. Low price. Accurate. Add a quality Hawke scope of up to 6 x.
in the Uk they have restricted these to 8 ft lbs or around 400 Fps at 1.77 and they have made it non semi auto , so you have to push forward the trigger to load each round. and they cost arounf £400 to £500 which is $674.35 you guys are lucky to live some pace that is not SHIT lol
you need to 0 your scope and try polymer pelets, the hpa conversion was a sensible choice, if your unsure how to 0 your scope then just utube it for demo
Nice review Nate . Awesome "30 pellet" AR style rifles. During your testing I was surprised to see the big FPS deviation between shots with the same pellet. Usually that means there is a air leak in an o ring somewhere? Did you find any leaks? I would send this video to 'SIGUSA and ask them if there is a problem. Did this change when you used the Co2? Just wondering. Sig makes great products and it is unusual to see these variations.
Hey, using Co2 will get you noticeably better accuracy and consistency. I never did chronograph it on Co2 but I know from Sig reps that it was designed for Co2 (the valve) ...so that is why High pressure air is less consistent with velocity. I intended to test the Co2 on the chrono and paper but when I got the wrong Co2 capsules at big 5 (JT brand) ...I didn’t want to order more online. That’s why the new Virtus Sig PCP will be so great. And it’s .22
I do have two of them and both are the same garbage ! Nice looking toys but just half the power as promised ! I’ve tested both the CO2 and PCP as well, same disappointing results... Here in Switzerland they cost over 300$, and customer support is a joke ! My SIG 90 (the military version of the 550) I’ve used in the Army is a pure gem, but these air replicas are the perfect Illustration of an industry that rests on his past successes and sells total junk overpriced just because of it’s name ! I am very curious about the results of the Vitus, but am already pretty sure it will be the same story too... Just a shame
@@AirgunChannel That statement from Sig is utter rubbish. The pressure of CO2 at around 10°C is 848 psi and will rise when warmer and drop as it cools with rapid shooting. The reg on the air bottle is set about 900psi so how Sig can say CO2 would be more accurate then a regulated air bottle beta me. It simply defies physics and my own quite extensive experience in converting from CO2 to air which I used to do on a semiprofessional basis. Sig are talking utter nonsense. This gun is built to look good but performs appallingly.
I recently bought the SIG Sauer MPX and it came with a Multi-Tool for adjusting the front and rear sights and for seating the pellets correctly into the magazine belt. If you did not get one I would contact SIG Sauer because you just spent good money for their pellet rifle. Great semi-auto rifle, will get another different type SIG Sauer rifle, they are well made.
Yep. Good looking gun. But totally sucks in accuracy. 10 yards max to get a good group. I've tried several different grain from 5 to 10. Different styles tips. And several different brands with the same results. I've even tried slugs, lol. At 25 yards I get a 8" group. I think the issue with this gun is the belt system. When you seat the pellets in the belt it deforms and marks up the pellets.
Awesome review. Thanks bud. I have a brand new MCX I haven’t shot yet, but would like to know if anyone has shot the Umarex “Big Blast” exploding Targets....?
I am happy as Crap that I didnt buy either Virtus or MCX, MPX, Sig air rifles, I want to actually hit what iam shooting at. I do like the Crosman DPMS SBR though. Those Tick Hotels were cute, But Lyme disease is No joke.
u do know the mpx&mcx come with a little tool to set the pellets in proper plus the tool is used for other things, it's located or should be in the handle of the gun. I've been told of a few issues after 300/400 pellets have been put through the gun???
no problem pal glad u found! I really want to get an mpx massive fan of military style air guns as good as everyone says it is "it's good for 15, 000 pellets b4 any problems" 450/500 is the highest I've heard of b4 theirs trouble. for one the firing pin falls of, the seals go Sig Sauer r a bed company for parts or spare etc shame coz I do like the look etc of the mpx.
I bought the MCX when it came out and within 3 full mag refills I found the pellets would jam or foul up due to the 4 small ribs that hold the pellets in place not being able to hold the pellets in place. All pellets were set using the tool... I would use JSB 8.44g in a 4.53mm. Dear @sigsauer please make a figure of 8 style Oring that would hold the pellets better in each link... This is a fantastic gun with so much potential and I could see this helping others as it has me on gun transitions and drills.. Until this issue with the mag and pellets has been fixed this is a redundant cool af toy...
Doesnt co2 and hpa use differnt o rings? In deciding on buying the sig sauer mcx virtus .22 already buying and an extra either mcx of mpx... looking luke mcx is winning because it can use hpa too which is what my .22 will use always good to have a back up thats why i want another.

Airgun Channel You sure ? I’ve read at several places one can do so with pcp but not CO2 because this gas attacks and destroys the seals... (thats why I go for the 2x 12g CO2 adapter, so when I don’t shoot as much, there is less wasted, sometimes I even insert only one new cartridge plus an already empty one, works the same. However, with the Pyramid’s pcp tank, I get only very disappointing results, both in fps, (accuracy) as well as reliability (Lots of jammings, even at 3000 psi) any idea ?) Thanks for your always great reviews and sorry for my bad english !
I have cx4 storm my 90g CO2 has been in there for months lol just make sure u shoot a couple shots out of it every now and then until the gas runs out. Leaving in the CO2 builds up the pressure so that first shot is always nice and crispy. Same with my gbb pistols. Just exercise that trigger every so often. It won't hurt the gun. As long as u keep em clean and well lubed/oiled.
Study making suppressors online. Cut your imitation suppressor off the shroud. Unscrew or cut off the imitation suppressor end cap. Self-make the needed parts. Fill the to-be suppressor interrior with the needed materials, reseal the cap, reinstall the new suppressor onto the shroud. I've did it on my Aspen. Helps.
The cost of running those 88g CO2 cartridges is simply prohibitive unless there is room to fit an on off to be able to refill them. It seems the industry got wise to that and getting an online on off of suitable size is virtually impossible. I find it outrageous that per gram CO2 is way cheaper in the small 12g sparklers. Going HPA is a no brainer these days. ALL my CO2 rifles are now converted to using 13ci regulated air bottles which you CAN fill using a pump but I use a mini 300 bar compressor bought with all the money I saved (and then some) not having to buy 88g CO2 bottles.
@@AirgunChannel cool thanks I’m just getting into this so I’m going through your videos to see which one I would like most for an entry level one. Appreciate it, I’ll use your link when I end up deciding👍
I just want to be sure, is there a specific version I need to buy that's compatible with HPA or can I just buy the HPA Converted stock and add it on to the mpx ? thanks
Can't but wonder why the chrony numbers were so low.. Is not the regulated airpressure higher than the average co2 pressure? Seen 1100psi regulated tanks, and co2 being lower than that.. Soo.. What is the actual problem with the hpa setup? Not enough of airmass even though more pressurized? I guess a plenum change is to start with if getting a hpa setup for my MCX.. The damn MCX shoots so good until the co2 starts cooling down..
@@Crottedenez1000 that's sad.because they look really cool but I'm also glad that I won't be spending my money on this I am going to get the Ruger 1022 co2 version now thanks
Jake Kennedy Good choice ! (The same in pcp is also an absolute no-go, none of them hold the pressurized air over time, mine even wheezes out half of it as soon as I disconnect the hose). Since I have the privilege to own some very nice and extreme precise upper end pcp’s, instead of my two MCXs (which no one is interested in taking over), just for fun and plinks, I offered myself a Crosman DPMS SBR which has even a full auto mode. Of course, this one is even weaker than the MCX, but unlike SIG, they never promised more power and accuracy. One weak point, is his heavy consumption of CO2, it starts to have reloading issues while one of the two CO2 cartridges seems still to be half full. But for about 3-4 reloads (with the genius speedy loader done in 2 seconds !), it offers lots of fun though ! Wish you always much pleasure shooting and stay healthy ! (Sorry for my bad English !)

My gun came with a small silver tool that was designed to seatvthe pellet into the belt.
A little strange that they have made some tools in silver, my tool was made in potaluminium.
in the Uk they have restricted these to 8 ft lbs or around 400 Fps at 1.77 and they have made it non semi auto , so you have to push forward the trigger to load each round.
and they cost arounf £400 to £500 which is $674.35 you guys are lucky to live some pace that is not SHIT lol
Couldn’t you buy one from the US ? I’m sure it’ll not illegal to ship, just the auto thing maybe
you need to 0 your scope and try polymer pelets, the hpa conversion was a sensible choice, if your unsure how to 0 your scope then just utube it for demo

@@AirgunChannel My Virtus broke the same day I got it. Was great while it lasted though.
Thanks for the video. Quick question, with umerex co2 what are the fps?
around the same...but a little more accurate with CO2. 500FPS average.
The jt's are supposed to puncture when you pull the charging handle, per two other reviews i watched.
Awesome review but since it's been a year how is your MCX holding up
For sure, awesome gun for realism and feel...not so accurate. Sig Virtus PCP video coming this weekend. -Nate
You know you have to pull the charging handle to pierce the co2 right? I have an mcx and love it.

My Daisy Buck BB gun shoots as accurate as these by SIG. is there any mods to fix the SIG accuracy?
Not that I know of. It is a little more accurate with CO2 because it was designed for Co2.

How do we remove an 88g co2 cylinder from the rifle
and still retain our co2 that remains in the cylinder.
You can’t ...just leave it in...it doesn’t hurt it.
However, with the Pyramid’s pcp tank, I get only very disappointing results, both in fps, (accuracy) as well as reliability (Lots of jammings, even at 3000 psi) any idea ?)
Thanks for your always great reviews and sorry for my bad english !

Hy there, can you tell me the name of the soppressor of this gun ? I'm looking to buy on the web
Kaos Territor it’s integrated and only for optic. No function at all !
Yeah, there is no supressor on the gun. It comes like that
Study making suppressors online.
How do i regulate my mcx ? I bought the adapter the air venturi 3k psi tank . And a 4500 psi hand pump . I dont want to ruin my air gun

Can't but wonder why the chrony numbers were so low.. Is not the regulated airpressure higher than the average co2 pressure?
