Sandtimer - Feather In Your Cap (cover) - 2014 live recording

It is crazy to think that it's a whole 10 years since our first Sandtimer gig at The Willow Tree in Winchester. It was an open mic night run by the amazing sound engineer, DJ, promoter and all-round hero Jay, and it was a beautiful Thursday evening on the eve of the Glastonbury weekend. I still remember the exhilaration of playing and the joy of having finally got the songs out into the world after a few months of rehearsing. When you're right in the thick of gigging and trying to get your music out there, it's hard to take stock and enjoy the moment but I seem to recall that we allowed ourselves to do that on this occasion. The anarchic spirit that defined those open mic nights then and thereafter was an ever-flowing source of joy for Sandtimer, and I can't avoid feeling a certain amount of nostalgia when I think back now to it.
I don't think there were any photos or videos from the night, but here's an old live video we recorded that summer- a cover of Beck's 'Feather In Your Cap' that we never released for some reason!
Anyway... looking forward: there is a new album on its way soon, and we are excited to share it with you.
