Thank you for showing the dupes along with the new sewing patterns. I have been praying to the genie in the bottle for a pattern for the Carolina Herrera striped belted shirtdress so that I didn't have to figure it out. So M8556 is on my list. I will still have to figure out how to slim that full skirt so that it will look more like the original but the pattern is a good starting point.
I either have similar patterns already or not my style. So it’s a pass this McCall’s. 😮thanks for the review, the dupes and similar patterns. Helping me save my shekels.
It's okay if you get mushy mushy! I'm glad you're back sewing! This was a great review on the spring catalog! I love the little bear, the bunny bear pattern.❤
I love 8553! I might have to pick that one up even though I'm at the top end of the measurements of it, I can do a FBA and I believe that would qualify for the Battle of a shirt dress dress!
Thanks Rochelle for another lively review. Yes they were a lot of repeats and a lot I too already have in my stash. But that shirt dress truly caught my attention. It would make a gorgeous church dress to be sure. And talk about old school patterns, that tie front top, 8557? I made a tie front top with a cute Aline skirt back when I was in high school (in the 60s )😊😊😊 I believe it was a Simplicity pattern. I wish I still had it would be right in style ( now if the hips would fit is a whole nether story 😂)!! Loved the video, keep them coming!! Thanks!
Thank you! I came across your review on my feed and am in awe! Clear review of patterns but most of all recognising the similarity to previous versions. Often I look at a pattern and think I've seen it before, clearly I am not imagining it is true. Your review is clear I also love the notions info plus the way you throw in some tips! Incidentally, McCalls 8553 is exactly like a dress that hams been popping up all winter in several versions, my favourite is the dark denim with top stitching so definitely getting this one!
I do like 8553, I've a big love for the exposed zipper, although why it wasn't released a season ago is beyond me. I've got early access to this and the new know me release and ME2109 oh my, the cut may not be for everyone but 'Happily dressed' Welcome sir, you are the hero no one expected but everyone needs. edit: Woah, pdf of 8553 has separate bodice fronts for each size
Great video❤❤❤ I like your comparisons👍 could you please leave the picture of the pattern on the side when you are talking about it? That would be very helpful
Thank you Rochelle I plan on picking g up M8555 the halter neck dress M8557 the top with the ties which I could hack using S9545 and M8558 the skirt I love the skirt Thanks again
Thank you for the very informative video. I 'll skip this collection. Most of these patterns are wide on the bottom and girly, with ruffled sleeves. I hope for more over 40 working ladies patterns. Thank you ❤!
Thank you for the video. Saved me going to the fabric store. I didn’t like anything in the new collection. I didn’t find anything of it attractive. A lot of the styles are found in cheap Australian clothe fast fashion stores. Will save money this time lol
Let me know which patterns you are picking up. What do you think about this collection?
Very tempted by the Carolina Herrera one!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks Rochelle, I love the tie top I need that one!
my pleasure!

Yes I can leave the pattern up longer.
Thank you for going through all those patterns. What a job. There are two I plan on buying.
My pleasure! It's a job, but I like to see what other patterns I can use to achieve the same look
