Great video! Thanks a lot. This game is such a refresher for the genre, everything feels so polished, so many QoL features, combats feels amazing, and on top of that the game is stable and super optimized for me. Huge Kudos for developers and content creators helping this game grow, for sure will play it for a long long time.

Yeah, I thought the same thing.
Can't teleport ANY materials or tames? Why even bother....Especially when there is already regional portals
@@ElenyaNolan-yu8tw That is incorrect, all your items and the mount you are riding on you can teleport through the large portals.
You can also change this in the settings
@@MyZenaGamingYou can only allow items but not mounts so still pretty much useless
Super duper pro fast travel tip for single player mode: check "spawn death package in front of you after death" in server options, build bonfires around the map. After death/suicide just choose bonfire where you want to spawn at. 6 bonfires available per tribe.

It's good unless you want to play as tribesman, so there is still some goal to place the portals :)

I really wish the home portal was connected to the world portals, tbh. Feels extremely limited as it is atm.
Map Coordinates for each of the portals would be great!
i just placed 2 in different locations and now it is saying portal node locked this is way complicated

What's the thing you did before you hammer down the enemy? Is it like a potion or whatsoever or it makes ur damage higher?
Its the first activated ability for the hammers. It gives superarmor (i believe 50% damage reduction) for a short time. Its good to use especially in those mechanical dungeons
How do you use the 3 parts to build the personal portal? I can't put it on my hot bar. There's no crafting place that makes it. What do I do with the 3 parts?
that's what i'm trying to figure out right now. have you found out how to build it yet?
i just figured it out, you craft it on the mysterious stone table which you also get it from one of the dungeons.
Doesn't seem like it's mentioned but once you have all 3 pieces how/where do you combine them to make the portal? Thanks

So, basically, build a base near each of the biome portals and you are done. Right? (assuming you are playing solo or with friends and not pvp).
Definitely not a bad idea lol. I have a base near the wetlands portal and its super convenient
I don't like such teleport restrictions. In games like V Rising I see the value of restrictions for PvP, but in PvE it's simply a waste of my time.
That's even more true for Valheim, where I find the travelling times atrocious and the sea voyages just boring.
At least there should be an option to turn the restrictions off.
I agree, i know a lot of us feel that way. Maybe at some point it will change!
I have heard from other people that on private servers the owner can change that setting and allow items to be taken through :)

Almost every complaint I've seen that people have about this game is something that can be easily adjusted by the server owner/player. It's like everyone reviewing this has never played a survival game before, it's easily one of the best I've played, especially for early access.
i cant use the portals it says" portal node are blocked".. any1 know whats that mean?
You have to defeat the ape boss to be able to use them sadly
Feels like that personal portals are useless because u cant teleport with items in your inventory -.-
Yeah they arent near as good as the other ones. But they can be useful if you have two separate bases and just need to grab equipment from the other one

You can change it in server settings to allow items using personal portals.
So if you are playing solo id recommend it.

How do you get the blue crystal? I can't find it anywhere. This game's teleportation system is horrible.
Blue crystals used to be able to be found in certain chests, but since ea released ive only obtained them from killing bosses
can you do a dungeon more than once to get more portal pieces?
Absolutely! They reset fairly quick, not sure exactly how fast but under 1.5 hours for sure unless that got changed
So I saw a horse running about, can those be tamed for a mount?
Currently mounts are: alpaca, jaguar, llama, ostrich, and snow leopard. I dont think those can be tamed, but ive never tried trapping them lol

Loved it! The only thing that could make portals better is adding jiggle physics to male characters.

What is the activation move at 4:40 ?
Its the first ability you start with when using a hammer. It gives you super armor for a short period of time. I believe like 50% damage reduction
Just as useless for resource transport like Valheim but also can be changed in the settings for solo or private server play.
Too loud and you make me turn you down, then you get quiet and I can't hear you.
Oh thats really horrible think you had to put your volume down. Seems like hardest quest of your life.

It was my friends that built it, but im pretty sure they used wood pillars to support it all
You can stack foundations
I found that pillars are unable to build in water, but foundations are fine.

Well I guess I'm going to build next to the rain forest main portal then since the personal portals are useless. That honestly needs to be fixed.
