It's an early '47 with hood supports. Very good driving/riding car. It is not "All" original - it has '52-'55 Kaiser hub caps. The '47s had plain "moon" hub caps. Regardless, it looks good, is enjoyable to drive and if you take it to a show it's just about guaranteed you'll have the only one there! Buckeye maroon was a great Kaiser color. One tip, the knob below the dash marked "T" stands for "Throttle" - it's a hand throttle, kind of like a poor man's cruise control! You will enjoy driving this car.
Thanks for the information. It definitely was a great car to drive. Unfortunately I sold it I'm trying to buy and sell/trade as many cars that I can and take as many pictures of them with my family. So when I'm old we'll have something to talk about. Thank you for your comment.
Kaiser was the first American car with the"slab side"body(flush w/no protruding fenders). If you didn't have a v-8 too offer in 55 you were dead in the water.🗽👍
My dad's first car was a 1947 Kaiser. The same red color. Lots of fond memories of road trips in that beast. Had to scrap it in 1957 when an axle shaft broke and couldn't get a replacement.
It's amazing how a car can bring so many memories. My family and I had it for a short while. However we made a lit of memories as well. I changed the generation over to an alternator that made it possible for me to add speakers and other essential features. Would have had it longer but someone with a similar story as yours made me an offer I couldn't refuse
Beautiful car. Italy's Fiat 1400 postwar design was based not so loosely on the 47 special. The shape really is the very same, just smaller. This was actually done in accordance with the Marshall plan guidance.
That's beautiful, those are great cars. Especially since they have the bed in the back. Unfortunately I got rid of mine but Kaiser will always have a place in my heart if I come by another I'll probably purchase it. Good luck
@@bringbacktheclassics I know the feeling all too well. I had a few plans for my 89 Eldorado I parted from a few months ago. Not that it. needed anything, it was perfect. I was excited to see how things turned out with your Kaiser. I would actually like to find a mid to late 80s Fifth Avenue or a Mercury Monarch that's super rare.
Anything from 4k-20k Honestly you might be able to get 8k max. They aren't that much. It really depends on how much a buyer is willing to pay for it. I got it for $4,500 sold it for double that 😬😬😬
Great car, my folks had one traveling around the country as musicians and they loved it.
Wow great story, do you have any pictures?
Yes the car is a tank. I should have held on to it. Definitely not a pricey car but very rare
Thank you for showing us the inside of the trunk, an important feature but
overlooked by most.
No problem, I know that later models had the ability to be turned into beds. Which was amazing.

First Kaiser I've ever seen in Seventy-seven years.
That's beautiful, glad you saw it here
It's only original once. Don't change anything. Just take good care of it, and enjoy driving it as is.
I kept it original until i sold it. It was a beautiful car

Did you own one of these?
@@bringbacktheclassics no, but a neighbor had a 1951 example when I was a kid. Beautiful car.
Great looking Kaiser! These cars are designed for comfort for sure.
Thank you! I love this car
Air suspension is basically destroying it
Yeah I actually sold the car before I could do anything to it
I have a 1950 Traveller waiting to get restored!

They were so ugly that they were beautiful.
Couldn't agree with you more.
