Totally worked! Thank you! I made step by step note on the steps into my phone to do this and copied here 380 reset 1 turn on 2 push both mop and sweep buttons 3 lift front right, left and center should beep 4 push front right left and center should beep 5 lift back right, left, and center 6 turn off 7 turn on 8 push on right front bumper and push the mop and sweep buttons at the same time until the red light stops flashing 9 push on button 10 push mop button 11 should turn 5 times 12 push sweep button on, then mop button on 13 should turn in opposite direction 5 times 14 push front bumper left, then right, then center, should beep each time 15 lift front bumper left, then right, then center, should beep 16 lift back left and then right making sure it beeps for each 17 turn off 18 test drive.
This troubleshooting technique described worked for me. My Braava is at least 4 years old. I have replaced the battery several times and put on new tire treads. Recently it was acting erratic and the buttons weren’t working properly. After I followed the video exactly the way it was shown it worked perfectly again. Big thumbs up from me.
Mine was acting up exactly like this too. Bumping into a wall, beeping and then stopping. After a few attempts, his power light would go red and he wouldn’t even try to mop/sweep. I replaced the C cell batteries in the GPS cube with fresh ones and put Bixby back on the charger for a few hours. Now he’s happily sweeping away.. so it could have been just low batteries in the GPS cube that was causing the behavior. BTW.. I think we all name the robots
My husband bought this little robot 6 years ago and stopped using it. Just last night he decided to give it another try, forgetting the reason he stopped using it. LOL! Your video surely gives me an idea of what could have gone wrong with it. The water tank(s) is nowhere to be found and our tiny robot needs replacement tank(s). Perhaps it had a leakage. Thanks for sharing your experience and the trouble shooting.
I thought my ten year old 380T was done for. While I have replaced many items on the Roomba of the same age all that the Braava needed was a a battery every few years. But in recent months it has been operating quirkily. I’ve struggled to find a fix until today. This solution, albeit seemingly bizarre, WORKS.
It’s so cute you named your robot. I put mint oil on my pads and the freshness is amazing. Your video helped me but I agree. These things are janky and I had to replace the cheap wheels. Good concept. Bad excecution.
I tried this. It seamed to work and then failed yet again. So I installed rubber tires. Wow it fixed it. I suspect the the old tape wheels were slipping causing the auto controller to get confused. I am so pleased for an economical solution 😊
I definitely would BUY it....I've had mine for years...wouldn't trade it for anything lol...anyways it's kept my house clean for years and I'll definitely keep it working when it breaks! I've also replaced the wheels pads with off brand ones and glued them on...now I'm looking for a replacement charging base!
Great video. I do need extra help. My mop continuously beeps when I push the left frontal part inward I. The first part of this process. It won’t stop beeping. Could this imply something. I have to lift it up or push the right side in to make it stop beeping.
Great video!!! I would take this over the newer models, stops where it started and lesser errors. Hardly ever gets stuck. The newer tech is ok but with more functions comes more errors, like the water sprayer clogged up, and I am perfectly happy with this robot, in fact I currently have 8 of these mops I purchased for very little , because I refurbish robot vacs and mops, and so far only had to replace 1 battery out of the eight used ones and that one wasn’t really all that bad. iRobot did good with this mopping machine, awesome stuff!......also adding new rubber wheels to a few of the bots and test out their performance and see if there is any slippage. When it does get stuck it is usually wedged in from the top on something on an angle but other than that it performs fairly well.
An absolutely eyeopener to me! Thank you a ton for sharing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👼🏻💐💐💐 , never expected so easy to let it run again simply by moving the mopping part a little up. Must add a piece of mind from my own experience we need constantly to check on tires, whether they've already getting worn and replace with a something made of real rubber (say Pirelli lol) 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👼🏻💐💐💐 God bless you!
I was having these problems -- beeping, turning in circles, quiting after a few minutes. I finally got mine to work again. What I did: replaced cube batteries, replaced Braava battery (still wasn't working at this point), tried steps in this video (still not working), noticed that there was some friction on pressing the cleaning pad in on one side (as done in the video), so loosened a screw on the underside which relieved the stickiness. Working like new now. May have overtightened screws earlier when I took it apart to clean hair out of wheel axles.
Did you ever get it fixed? I’m having the same problem: hits the wall, turns, hits wall again, and does the same beeps and lights and shuts off. I heard somewhere it is a battery problem. I ran mine every couple days for a year before it started to malfunction.
I found that my little robot was having issues even by following these steps.. it could be 3 things, battery, tire replacement needed or water tank replacement needed.
My question also, did you ever get it fixed? Mine's doing the same thing hits the wall, turns, hits wall again, and does the same beeps and lights and shuts off. I've replaced the C batteries in the square box that you sit on the counter that comes with the irobot & that hasn't fixed the problem.
That sounds like a low battery. I notice the batteries are NiMH. They are cheap but they only last around a year (I charge it around once every two days average). It's simpler than mopping but not meant for anything more than a few rooms.
Mine turned out to be the problem with the tire tread . They use low quality rubber and once it’s wet it soaks water and loose traction . When it hits wall it won’t do anything except trying to move which it can’t due to loss of traction . I tried resetting and it did not helped . Then bought rubber tires from Amazon for 20 bucks and now it’s fixed . Hope this helps
To reset a malfunctioning an iRobot Brava 380: The Brava has 3 buttons Back Left O O Back Right Front O Step 1: Press Front button to turn off machine. Step 2: Press Front button to turn on machine. Step 3: Hold down the Left and Right back buttons at the same time for until blue lights appear. Step 4: Press Front button first and Back Right button second. Observe the machine circle Left several times. Step 5: When the machine stops circling left, first, Press the back Right button, and second, Press the Back Left button. Observe the machine circle Right several times. Step 6: Press or lift the machine on all sides until they beep. Step 7: Lift the back left side: it doesn't beep. Lift the right side: it beeps. Then Press the Front button to turn off the machine. Step 8: Press the Front button to turn the machine function back on. Step 9: Press the Back Right button to turn the cleaning function back on. If the Brava 380 just needed to be reset, it should begin cleaning normally now.
I wouldn‘t by another one I don‘t recommend it, it works the first 12 months and after it has many issues…. but thx for the short description I rebooted the robot fingers crossed I hope it will mop longer then 15 min…
Facing the same problem here. Tried the same things from that video in Portuguese, but also didn't work. And I bought mine just 10 months ago. Frustrating.
After I change many times the battery. I took the robot to the service and they said to me that I need to change the battery. Right now I find that is not the battery fault it was all about resetting😔. Also works to press the clean. button for 20 seconds.
I've had mine a year and a half or so. My opinion? Not really worth it. Mine has been out of commission for quite a while too. I'm a no. Wouldn't purchase.
6 beeps and stop after about 1 min. I found out the reason: You need to replace the battery, that battery life is not quite good. Buy a new one and it will fix the problem.
Totally worked! Thank you! I made step by step note on the steps into my phone to do this and copied here
380 reset
1 turn on
2 push both mop and sweep buttons
3 lift front right, left and center should beep
4 push front right left and center should beep
5 lift back right, left, and center
6 turn off
7 turn on
8 push on right front bumper and push the mop and sweep buttons at the same time until the red light stops flashing
9 push on button
10 push mop button
11 should turn 5 times
12 push sweep button on, then mop button on
13 should turn in opposite direction 5 times
14 push front bumper left, then right, then center, should beep each time
15 lift front bumper left, then right, then center, should beep
16 lift back left and then right making sure it beeps for each
17 turn off
18 test drive.
omgggggg my 7yrs-old braava finally works🤯😭🥺 thx so much!!!!!

Great video!
To improve it, please list the steps you used to fix it.
For example:
Step 1. Press the 2 back buttons at the same time, for 15 seconds.
Una maravilla el video! Muchas gracias por el detalle

Fix at 3:08. It seems working.

Thanks! I tried but it didn’t work for me. Probably I need a new one, these one has several years with us! And it has been a blessing.

El único video real y que funciona muchas gracias excelente video 😃😃😃😃
Please explain what you are doing.

You can show me how you clean hair from the wheels?

Battery, change the battery in the unit, not the cube.

Had the same issue. Fixed it by replacing the battery.

The Device is fine as long as its working! 😅
At troubleshooting?
Gracias
don’t quite understand your steps of pressing those buttons… and it’s hard to follow… can you explain what the steps mean?
After I change many times the battery. I took the robot to the service and they said to me that I need to change the battery. Right now I find that is not the battery fault it was all about resetting😔. Also works to press the clean. button for 20 seconds.
My Bravaa doesn’t work anymore, my Roomba is still working though
WHAT A WASTE OF TIME, U TALKED NONSENSE AND NEVER SHOW AND TELL US IF YOU EVER FIXED IT...
Hot glue under the wheel treads
