Devan Mulvaney shares how music has allowed him to process and cope during a time of loss. After losing his family to a car accident, Devan struggled with his mental health. In addition to therapy, his music practice allowed him to explore emotion and begin to embrace forgiveness.

On May 16th, 2019 the Peace of Mind Storytellers event brought together leaders
in the mental wellness space to share their stories and the work they are doing to
help create peace of mind in the world. The event featured a full day of compelling
storytellers, live performances, food, cocktail party, opportunities to meet the
speakers, and a lively atmosphere. The day was hosted at Rhode Island College,
with storytelling and breakout sessions in Sapinsley Hall.
Stories have the power to positively transform the way we think about mental health
which is why 100% of the proceeds from this event supports CREATORS, providing
life-changing expressive arts experiences to communities in need.

I have to first apologize for all of the horrible stuff I have put you through. I also need for you to know that all is truly forgiven from the bottom of my heart. I learned this lesson long ago. Forgiveness does move mountains. I don't say it to try to control any outcomes. I say it because it is true. I do now and always will want what is best for you and your family. I don't understand many things. I don't have to understand. Am I sad yes. Like I said a long time ago. I am willing to die for you brother. As long as you are ok. I will always miss you. GOD will help through it. I get a little angry at GOD, just like for him taking my mom. I am a grown woman . I can work through it with the help of JESUS. So that is all. I will love you as my Brother and never forget you. But please, please do what is best for you. I wouldn't feel right any other way. I don't want to be the one who holds you back. GOD loved you. I don't know if this means goodbye, but I will trust GOD either way. Please don't worry about me either. GOD has made me a strong person and I have been through these types of things before. Be Blessed my Brother in Christ. Where the Spirit of the LORD is there IS freedom. Just don't listen!!
