First of all, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your service. Second, thank you for what you have done with this car, a lot of people use the popularity of the Impalas and don't recognize a true GEM like the Oldsmobile Delta 88's which actually have a streamline design, so much of the style is often overlooked but you have the eye for the RARITY of the vehicle itself. It's a truly BEAUTIFUL car and it deserves all the custom touches you have done to it. Once again, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AND THANK YOU FOR BEING a Lowrider Roll Model and for sharing your BEAUTIFUL CAR with all of us. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
From an Army veteran who has had his own trials and tribulations as well as life experiences, nice work, beautiful car, and Thank you for keeping the dream alive... Never quit chasing your dreams..

I went to high school with this man 11 or 12 years ago. I didn't know him while I was there but I knew his name. And I ran into him before the episode aired for lowrider roll models. He treated me my wife and my daughter like he knew us his whole life. Stand up guy, we got to see the car and meet his sons.
I loved this story Mr. Staff Marine Sargrent Mario Barajas. Sorry if I spelled your name wrong. I too was a young 14 year old dad like your father. I drive a 1968 Buick Wildcat Old School.and are so digging the Lowrider Roll Models!✊🏾

Im looking at a 1971 Olds Delta 88 Royale Convertible....has the same front end and tailights as this hardtop....I might grab it cuz its a nice body style...something different and theres nothing like rolling in a Rag-Top here in Cali....at least thats what Im told!I digg what he did with his Delta 88....especially the pinstriping and leathing on the skirts and the way he kept it with that OG look inside and out!Great job Senor Mario Barajas!!

I totally agree with you Mario, rare cars like yours, they aint for hopping and doin all that crazy stuff with, thats what Buick Regals and Lincolns are for lol.
Always loved this body style 71-73 old delta88 and 71-'73 Buick le sabre the way the back window slopes down NOT repeat NOT the fast back look so making the car look even lower 71-73 Pontiac Catalina is the same but has a Ridge that comes up behind the doors and tapers off into a Fin almost Cadillac style,,,,,,, And those custom skirts on the 88 make the car looks even more sexier you knocked it out of here.Much respect
i have a 71 delta royale convertible ive thought of doing this to....will the big block 455 create issues with the hydraulics up front does anybody know??.....its heavy
Now imagine your 20 years old and it’s a Sunday in 1971 . El Reno Oklahoma. The dealer opened up just for me! I choose a brand new Delta 88 black two door black vinyl roof vinyl mag wheels black interior 350 engine.. just like the one you have but brand new! 4,200 dollars. I put a 100,000 miles on it . Waxed it once a month. Sold it for a $1000 dollars. Wish I had kept it!
Ok.. think about this. I was around 20 years old. I bought a 88 new. Black on black two door with black vinyl top and black interior. Very little chrome. Did you know they had vinyl rims. … it didn’t have to jump.. it was just awesome. It cost $4200. I got stopped by a texas highway patrol once for speeding. The cop said he would only give me a warning because he knew it was my dad’s car .. I didn’t say anything.. lol I wish I had kept that car..
Yours remind me of my car but yours is WAY cleaner I had one of those 71 olds Delta88 4 door back in the day ..black with Tru's & Vogues not lowered though ..till a drunk driver took it out😢
I met Mario at A Cal State San Marcos Lowrider event. He is a great guy and his car is beautiful. Thank you for your service carnal.
