you need to check out motocross sidecar racing
Now you need to lean Trust - Get a miniatyre sidecae, LOL
I seem to.recall a husband and wife team
You should check out the flying doctor, he was a legend on the TT.
Don't worry about showing the crashes as nearly if not all TT videos will have at least one crash in it and it is all part of the sport. Obviously if it is a fatal crash that is different but ordinary crashes are just part of the course in racing. One video about the IOM TT you might enjoy is the onboard Peter Hickman Chin Cam video. If I can link it I will:

I am a motorcyclist of over 50 years riding, and speaking on behalf of a lot of riders like me, we all think sidecar racers are a next level madness.
The majority of car users think that about you on a solo bike.
@@laurencejames7948 ha! yes! 😁
Outfit racers are a special breed of mad lads.
My dad was one, explains a lot
My husband raced solos before we started racing sidecars. He found the comments about sidecar racers being mad strange as if you hit an oil slick etc on a solo you usually end up hitting the tarmac whereas on a sidecar you often only do a slide or a spin & continue racing.
My husband used to race solo motorcycles & I used to act as his pit crew. I decided I wanted to start racing so my husband built a sidecar outfit so we could race together. We have been racing sidecars for over 30 years & have only had a couple of minor incidents where we flipped the bike. We have raced both historic (pre 1962) & modern outfits. You need to have full confidence in each other as sidecar racing is a team sport. My husband & other riders have told me female passengers are smoother in their movements when changing position. There are quite a few female passengers & a couple of all female teams. Our racing club holds "Come & Try Days" where those interested can turn up & have a go as a passenger, starting out slowly at first & gradually building up speed if the newcomer wants a bit more exictment. Unfortunately we have lost 2 friends in 2 separate incidents; one at the IOM TT.
@VIPstyle Its a lot of fun & looks much scarier than it is.
Madam you obviously have a very very very solid marriage I am not sure my wife of 48 years would trust me that far and frankly I wouldn't blame her!
I salute you both, you're clearly both nutters but it sounds like you have a wonderful relationship!
Guy Martin’s stuff is amazing, he’s a former TT racer that now does a lot of military and military technology stuff - especially WW2. He also restored a narrowboat while exploring the industrial history Britain. He’s put most of the stuff on his UA-cam channel, and he’s just really down to earth. Think you’d both enjoy his stuff
I like his channel. Very informative, educational, and fun.
@@BIGBLOCK5022006 very much so
Guy Martin is a national treasure.
I am part of a team, currently sat in the race truck in the TT Paddock, contemplating the fantastic TT we've just had. I recommend getting a copy of the movie 3 Wheeling, made by my friend Chris. It will really bring you inside the sport.
(Please avoid TT Crash compilation videos)
RIP Raul Torras. Ride free my friend
Are you one of the Birchall brothers mentioned above?
@@hughfranklin4002 Distantly related. I'm with a Solo team, not a Sidecar team
The Birchall brother's set the lap record with average speed of 120.64 mph over the 37.73 mile course. Just mad 😮
I know the Birchall brothers and the work they put into racing is beyond next level. They live in my home town which is almost 250 miles away from the Isle of man (including the ferry crossing) so its not a quick place to visit and do a few laps to learn the course and takes a lot of time and dedication to go there to know every bump, crest, corner, kerbstone and wall. They not only race but they build their sidecar outfits too and racing is their whole life. The whole family are the nicest guys you could ever meet.
they did the first 120 mph lap this year....
I come from a family of Bikers - in all forms . My younger and older brothers were always better than me on a solo ,but I found I had some talent on sidecars from an early age . Went to the isle of Man in the "Golden Years " 50s & 60s usually with my oldest Brother who was a complete nutcase on a big bike ,he could have really done well on the circuits and on the island ,but he was too busy chasing a musical career and girls ? . I dabbled on sidecar grasstrack racing ,but mostly clubman racing ,had a couple of big accidents ,then had a go at Speedway ,to no avail ! . I met my Mrs. while I was D.J. ing as she was a professional dancer and ice skater ,and she was mad on motorcycles ,in fact anything to do with speed .The joke was she had her nerves removed at birth ,so was never effected by anything and afraid of nothing and this was at 17 ?. But to cut a long story short she was my passenger for 47 years ,but we never got a chance or the money to race at the Isle of Man .She died at 64 from Covid . My younger Brother [62] y.o. and me are the last in the family to ride bikes ,my oldest son has just come out of the Army after many years and also stopped riding . We have lost my Father on a bike ,my Grandfather and a first cousin ,in Australia , but your both correct about Brits. complete nutters and you cannot describe what it"s like to ride or drive at speed unless you have done it .Just had the last steel pins taken out of my right leg ,but at 74 I have just bought a new Harley and still have a [now ,small] collection of Bikes . Like watching your Vids and love the American re- actions watching them , Love from the U.K. - Mark .
I ❤️ both of you. You are my favourite UA-cam reactors.
Yay! Thank you!
I second that. Fabulous.
You were talking about fatalities this year and it was a good year as there was 'only' 1 fatality. Raul Torras Martinez sadly lost his life in the first Supertwin race, he was honoured by his brother starting the 2nd Supertwin race. RIP Raul. But on a lighter note, sidecars are at full throttle for about 70% of the Mountain Course and the Birchall brothers became the first Sidecar team to do a 120mph average lap this year. With Founds/Walmsley also doing a 120mph lap in the Second Sidecar Race.
Americans are such fun! They know so little about the world outside....everything is a surprise!!!
yup, it is kind of endearing but also quite deeply dangerous. Ignorance breeds fear.
So tell us all about the Field of Crows, without googling :-)
@@jimdaw65 “The Field of Crows” I've no idea what this refers to......
Is this something that can be referred to as common knowledge?
I know I was taking a dig at the Americans..... Proofing that I know very little about home heart transplant surgery does not negate my assertion!
@@jimdaw65 I must admit I don’t know what the field of crows is either but it sounds like the aftermath of a battle of some sort
Sidecars are also used for Moto-X racing, with huge ground clearance, and a passenger that has to stand up while climbing side to side on an off-road out which is either getting air over the bumps at high speed, or gets dug deep into thick mud trenches if the weather has been wet - equally awesome to watch, but generally the moto-x outfits will only manage 70 or 80mph flat out around a much smaller dirt track
Back in the 1960’s, as a UK schoolboy, I used to really enjoy going to watch motorcycle grass track racing. Circuits had rounded ends and long straights joining them. Like a rectangle but the two short sides were rounded. Solo machines raced anticlockwise but sidecar outfits raced clockwise. The sidecar being on the left side of the bike allowed higher cornering speeds. We had our favourites. In the pits near Strensall, York, we were looking at Mick Webster’s outfit. Mick said to me “Do you want to help me to win the championship?” I replied “Yeah,” thinking he wanted a passenger! He said “Well look after him for me so I can go out and win this race.” He pointed at a young child in a pushchair, “his name is Steve.” He went and won his race and I kept my eye on his son for him.
Steve Webster won ten motorcycle sidecar world championships on road circuits. He was awarded the MBE by our late Queen Elizabeth.
The husband of the lady who trained me to shoot a bow again and supplied my English Longbow used to be a passenger on side car racing bikes in the 1960's. He's 88 years old now and has to walk with clutches but he is tough as ever. His name is Micky Pearce!
We live on the Isle of man. It was the last race yesterday (sat). You HAVE to come when you visit the UK! The island is gorgeous even if you don't watch the races. But it's EPIC! Once in a lifetime experience. You will not regret it!!
Racing week at the IOM is wonderful. Everyone is so happy and chatting together.
I've just got back from the isle of man tt. It's the most incredible experience you can have if you like motorsport. I've been before and already booked again for next year. Most sidecar teams work on and build their own machines and are above dedicated to their sport. John Holden retired from racing sidecars this year at 64! It was also 100 years this year that sidecars first raced at the TT....
Stay safe and come back and see us again next year!
Another great video ❤ Have the best day. xx
Thank you! Cheers!
When I was a child, I had a friend whose dad was into motorbikes. I only found out after his dad died that he had been the world motorbike and sidecar champion during the late 50s/early 60s. Both father and son were the mildest mannered and loveliest souls you could ever hope to meet.
So happy I’m part of the Sport, and the TT :)
Epic video, not a chance would I ever consider doing this, huge respect to anyone that does
One video I’ll be watching more than once, that’s for sure!. Thanks ladies, you never disappoint!.
Crazy stuff! Great video
Thanks for watching! ❤
Pulled it out the bag again girlies, I did enjoy watching that xx
I've tried this on an open day at Oran Park racetrack. 😊 It's the best adrenaline rush. My 1st time out and I'm leaning out as far as possible and even hip touching sometimes. It's the most fun when it gets on two wheels and you have to lean out more. 😜
They call the passenger a swinger or a monkey. I'd do it again if I had the chance. ❤
You have HUGE BOLLOCKS!!! 😉
@@TheNatashaDebbieShow and big balls too 😂
@@TheNatashaDebbieShow You're officially English now you've used Bollocks in a sentence and in the right context! 😂
They are a special breed ...i worked for Honda Britain Racing Team from 1978/1983 with the solo bikes ,but just loved watching these guys race ...
To stay on the island during the TT you have to book a long time before
You two ladies have great videos, full of enthusiasm! Thanks from the UK.
I love you two it’s so good to see lovely Americans understanding other people’s stories.
I knew about the TT races but never heard of the sidecar races. Thank you for sharing ❤
Sadly the TT claimed another life the other day- a Spanish rider, Raul Torras Martinez
So sad, RlP Raul🙏
Rip 😢
My mate Wilf witnessed a comparatively minor crash at the TT. A rider misjudged his turn, decided to bale and went about 100 yards down the road on his face. A couple of marshals ran out and pulled the, fortunately not too-badly hurt, rider off the road, his leathers smoking. Before anyone else could react, another spectator ran up and pushed a notebook and pen under the dazed rider's nose, with the immortal line "Quick, write six numbers down for the lottery, 'cos you're the luckiest *&@£ alive!"
Wow sidecar racing 😮 that wakes you up
On a Sunday morning, very informative and great camera footage , loved the on car stuff . Your reactions very similar to my own 🤔😳🤞🫣😬😮
Glad you enjoyed it!
Was a bit late joining but I really enjoyed the video ladies x
I live on the Isle of Man TT has just finished the Island comes alive am not a bike fan but have so much respect for the riders you should both come & watch you would love it xx
Way you go girls !!! You actually get a comment from the fastest sidecar rider of the year - you never know who is watching your videos ! 🤩
Just returned from the TT it’s a definite bucket list event. Skill bravery and madness all combined in one event. Real hero’s
My aunts automotive insurance company used to sponsor one of these. I got to sit on one ,and wow, can you feel the pure power coming from those engines!😩🤣
There's a quote from a racer who said on one bend, he knew he had the right line when he felt the bush on a particular bend brushed his helmet and shoulder. He was walking that bend and realised it wasn't a bush, it was ivy on a stone wall!
Genuinely hilarious reaction. 22secs in and you have paused and rewound 4 or 5 times and are wondering why you don't understand what is going on.🤣
Hiya girls Richard the black cab driver here. The isle of man TT race is thought of as the most dangerous race in the world x
It's incredible being there, I went with my dad and he went from the late 60s up until about 10 years ago.
Your faces in the one of the first clips as that superbike went through the bottom of Barregarrow, priceless 😂 All i can say is that you both need to go. Just ignore the haters who can only focus on negativity.
What makes the Isle of Man so dangerous, exciting and addictive? The course!
Motor racing tracks are specially designed
Some of the corners are slightly banked. There are gravel run off areas where someone can come off their bike at 150 mph slide over the gravel get up and walk away.
Spectators are placed in strategic areas behind safety barriers.
On the Island they race on publiic roads that are only closed for racing and practice sessions. The roads are subject to wear and tear of everyday use, leaves on the road in the rain create a hazzard. There are no fun off areas ssfety barriers may be hay bales brick or stone walls. If a rider comes off he's likely to hit a wall , a tree, a sheep or cow!
The road over the mountain has no speed limit and I've ridden bikes round the island (not in races) on the mountain I've hit 120 mph in races the riders reach almost 200mph!
Riders in the TT have suffered serious injuries one year and are back on bikes competing the following year!
Bikers are a unique breed.
Motorcycle funerals are popular here in the UK.
A 'hearse' sidecar carries the deceased.
The "Grand Daddy of motorcycle funerals here was a lovely man PAUL SINCLAIR a lifelong biker and also a church minister. He set up a funeral home in Leicestershire called "Motorcycle Funerls Ltd" and had a selection of bikes with adapted sidecars.
Paul died from cancer a couple of years ago (the company still exists).
Pride of the "fleet" is a 1300cc Suzuki Hayabusa with a hearse sidecar. It was this that took Paul on his final journey. They had his service in the church he worked and on his way to the cemetery they took a detour to Castle Donnington Race Track where his body completed a 100 mph lap of the track! Hundreds of bikers joined the funeral procession.
He had the nickname "The Faster Pastor."
Hi! If you both drive Subaru's make sure to watch "Subaru wrx Isle of Mann course": It's absolutely nuts!(And be patient:in the beginning he's just warming up the tires...enjoy! (-;
Sidecar racing is amazing and I cannot believe that anyone is brave enough to take part. You should look at Mark Higgins driving a Subaru rally car around the same course. The in car footage is almost as incredible.
Here in Ireland we have these races plus the road racing and it's great to photograph
Never at the isle of man but i was a sidecar passenger for a while when i was much younger. There is nothing like the rush as watching a track speed past 2 inches from your vizor as you go round a bend at 110 mph :D
I must say as a Brit🇬🇧, I am looking forward to a female sidecar racing team from the USA 🇺🇸. Natasha and Debbie are hopefully going to take up the challenge. D&N racing has a ring about, now only the question is who is going to be the monkey 🐒 😂. Seriously love your contents ladies.
Great video ladies glad you did a video of the sidecars and the tt again
I live on the Isle of Man. It's a magical place and even better when TT is on. Not just the racing but the whole atmosphere is worth experiencing at least once in your lifetime. If you're coming to the UK, then making the effort to come over for TT is well worth it!
I went to the TTs back in the mid-late 70s we would take the ferry from Dublin where I lived to the Man. Great time and a great experience.i was 17-18-19 yrs old.
I have watched many types of sidecar racing, Motocross, grass track, road racing and everybody is milling around but when the sidecars come to the start gate everybody goes to the fence to see them, there's something special seeing them pile into that first bend.
Super interesting video as always, ladies! Plus, great editing Natasha 👌🏻 looking forward to your next one 👏🏻💖
I've been to the island for the TT, what a fantastic week that was. There only problem was the storm when we were on the ferry going over, I was not well.
I went to watch the TT a few years ago, one of the days we went to watch on the mountain and thick fog set in and they still tried to race, they didn’t finish the day but watching people (more like just seeing the lights of the bike) going through the fog was insane, even when they stopped the race it took 5 hours to open the roads back up on the mountain as it wasn’t safe to drive on, I was surprised there were no accidents that night
Hi girls great video loved it my mothers late husband did this and he ripped of his ankle and foot so he gave it up your faces are epic
I have been a passenger on a sidecar and it was an utter blast and possibly the greatest experience of my Life,
My father used to do some work for the Manx government so we would go every year as children. We always watched the sidecars going around the hairpin corner in Ramsey. It was thrilling.
I was a passenger in Grass Track racing years ago. A lot of fun. It is strange that at speed everything slows down and you feel you have time to move about. When another outfit is right behind you trying to tap your outfit it could get scary.
It was also a little bumpy on grass...
With lots of clods of earth hitting your face when behind another outfit.
Great fun.
My mate when i was a kid was from IoM. when 17 we visited his family and bicycled around the TT course. Going down Snaefell road we both had bike speedos and both hit 20mph. I missed a corner and hit a hedge but just bounced away. The speeds these guys go.......................................phew!
I have been there in the 1990's. Loved it. Joey Dunlop was my fav. 🏍️🏍️
I had a boatyard on the Tamar river in Devon. One of my berth hiolder was Nigel Rollason. He was the only living person to have won a TT on two and three wheels and was only the second person to have achieved this.
He gave me an audio cassette of the commentary of one of his races. It consisted of long periods of silence with the occasional roar of a passing racer, lasting about 2/3 of a second with, "there goes Rollason, still leading"
🦘🇦🇺 Thanks to the Presenter for saying how important the Passenger is.❤❤❤
Hi, great reaction. Greetings from the Isle of Man.
The passenger leans to help the driver turn at high speeds
Sidecar racing is crazy in the "safe" context of a race track (It's a standard part of bike racing) but the TT version is a whole different level of insanity. Talking of races that are another level of crazy, have you ever looked at the Monaco Grand Prix? Formula 1 cars racing around the streets of Monte Carlo.
Your a true inspiration thank you for making them video's and your reactions ❤🇬🇧🇺🇸
The riders are brilliant and so determined. They're not in it for the money, but the love of doing it. I live of the Isle of Man.
Honestly girls you gotta go see the TT as isle of man when it's sunny is one of the most beautiful places in the UK and the races themselves are heart stopping.....a must see❤❤❤
Omg 😮😮 right, my uncle used to go and watch the TT when I was really young, I’ve never had any idea what it was all about, now I do 😳😳😳😳
Used to live there. You wanna look up Maria Costello MBE. She’s the first female rider to take part in the bike race and the sidecar one. She had to withdraw this yr as she got a concussion in practice
1970s 'Bangers' racing was very entertaining. Contestants usually had a car that wasn't fit for road use anymore so they ended up a on track were the last car running won.
still going on my local speedway track has races every Wednesday night and some Saturdays love going to watch banger racing
I love to watch your videos you are a always a joy to watch. You always make me laugh❤
I'm a retired police officer.
Many years ago, I attended a road accident. A motor cyclist had fallen over, all on his own.
When I got to him, he was sitting up, a few bruises thankfully.
He was laughing out loud.
He told me that he had just detached his sidecar from the bike, leaving him with a 2 wheeled solo motor bike.
He took it for a test ride, but when he came to a red light and stopped, he forgot to put one foot on the ground to steady himself, and over he went.
We both sat down and laughed until we cried. Stay safe all boxers.
Stay safe all bikers it should say.
Back in the early '70s I went to Laguna Seca to watch the motorcycle races. They had side car or "side hack" racing as an exhibition between heats on Saturday. At the time women could only compete against men in 2 types of AMA sanctioned races, drag bikes and side hack racing. And even there they were limited to being the monkey on the side car. A woman in baby blue leathers was hanging out so far and so low she wore a hole in the seat of her leathers and had some road rash showing. In Sunday's exhibition she started with several layers of duct tape on her butt and had a roll on the bike to replace what wore off. Oh, and they have similar sidecar races in motocross. Not as fast but really wild.
Brilliant ladies. Love your reactions.
I used to race motorcycles and at the TT at a circuit in the uk a good friend who raced sidecars asked me would I act as a passenger as his was taken I’ll. So like a fool I said yes never again you definitely have to leave your brain in the paddock very scary but fun
I remember when I was about 7 or 8, at Primary school in the early 1980s, there were 2 sisters whose dad was thrown off a sidecar in the TT racing and was killed. Every time I hear about the TT that's what I think of.
Can picture you girls, going to the store in the Subaru, with Natasha hanging off the back round the corners 😂💕
As always ladies, great reaction to a great race. Keep up the good work.
8:29 At the start, sidecar races used regular sidecar outfits. As both technology and regulations progresses, they became more like one unit, with the front steering wheel gradually moved to the middle, until they essentially became motor tricycles. That defeated the whole idea of the sidecar outfit, so the rules changed again to make the front wheel more in front of the driving wheel to make them what they are meant to be again.
After the side-cars try a little light relief, take a look at the British lawn mower racing scene. It's been going for more than forty years now, it started at Wisborough Green, Sussex, there are various classes which go up to the ride on lawn tractors. The modifications are restricted to keep the sport cheap for everyone, but cutting gear must be removed.
If you ever get to the Isle of Man, i would drive around the course in a normal speed, and day, just to get to know the walls and stuff.. makes a HUGE change actually driving the same areas
All motorcycle race suits have multiple layers of thick leather covering hips, knees, elbows & shoulders - they will also have carbon fibre or kevlar armour pads, including spine protectors, forearm splints as well as armoured gloves, boots and top quality helmets.
The passenger knocked off on that was probably bruised a lot, but I think he was relatively uninjured
I can tell you that when the sidecar lifts off the ground in a corner, if the monkey can't lean out further, the drivers only way of bring the wheel back to the ground is to straighten the front wheel a little - provided he has room to ride wider in the corner - if he touches the brakes he risks forcing the chair even higher ! A delicate touch is needed to get it back on three wheels in a high speed corner - but great fun though
I'll do the mini cart side cars with you Debbie! 😂
If not, we can all go Go-Karting instead 😊
They are doing 150 mph plus past the end of my road. They are all nuts for doing it but hats off to them all, insane bravery. A lap is 37 3/4 miles long and the sidecars do 3 laps per race. There are over 200 corners per lap to master. The Superbikes do 6 laps and reach over 130 mph average, they reach 200 mph on the fast bits (just up the road from my house).
There are lots of these races around the UK each week. Riders start locally on dirt tracks and build up
One of the bigger boys down the road where I grew up was into bikes. When I was 14/15 I would go with him, his mates and a couple of the other kids my age to watch them practising sidecars. I was impressed by how close the passenger got to the ground. Nothing bad ever happened so I never thought how dangerous it might be.
Awesome couple love you so much
You should watch Mark Higgins lap of the course in a Subaru.
Watching this I saw a few clips of Brian Reeves who my dad used to to race Sidecars with before I was born. My dad was the passenger.
Great reactions, funny too. I knew what was coming.
Natasha & Debbie awesome to her you’re coming over to see our crazy country 🇬🇧next year love the content keep up the great work. Watched the video on uk deadly plant’s been hooked since 🙏❤️
Sidecar racing is great fun to watch, and you could go and see it at a regular racetrack with runoffs etc. There are races for outfits like the ones you were watching, or even classic racing for the older style ones
in 1984 the call went out for a sidecar driver needing a passenger because the regular guy had forgotten his licence...my bike had holed a piston so I thought "why not". Six laps of practice with the leader of the classic sidecar series; he very politely told me that it would better not that we raced...
Hi Natasha and Debbie. Thanks for another great video. I attended the TT for many years through the 80’s, 90,s and into the early 2000,s. Not only is this a fantastic event but the Island itself is a beautiful place with a rich history. Please if you get a chance cover Mark Higgins 2016 lap in the Subaru I think you will find it very enjoyable. Keep up the good work ladies 😀👍👊🇬🇧
respect for doing the side cars ❤
Going to an Isle of Mann TT is a bucket list item for me and my partner.
I want you Both to come to the Isle of Man! live now !
I raced sidecars in the mid 70s. Firstly a Norton and then a Yamaha OW31. It was fun and a great community. Never did the TT because I’m not insane.
