In terms of brightest OnePlus devices have the best screens. Obviously 2k on Note 9 is insanley good. I was comparing my OnePlus 3T to other new phones in shop like Iphone X, Galaxy S9, Huawei P20 Pro and HTC U12 Plus and my 3T has the brightest display. I was shocked, but you can bought two exactly the same phone model Note 9 and Note 9 and you will see the difference in brightness.

I've had the Samsung S3, S7 edge, S8+, Note 2, 3, 4, and 5; and I have to say that my One Plus 6t is the best phone I've ever had. The Moto X Pure is an easy second. The screen resolution isn't the best but you really cannot tell the difference. I have 8gb of ram, stock Android. No more of that Samsung bloatware...the one plus is an extremely versatile phone. It isn't waterproof and it doesn't have wireless charging, but it is snappy as hell. I traded in my S8+ for this, and I have zero regrets.

Even 10 years on being on Android system Samsung still sucks at being laggy with 6 fucking Gb of Ram , so glad I moved to Iphone 7 plus, is much better with only 3 gb of Ram. I suspect most of Ram in Samsung is occupied by stupid processes which aren’t needed most of the time and its lame seeing such a giant tech company still failing at improving and demanding more money.

I sold my galaxy s9 plus and bought this overrated 6t. The 6t's screen isn't even close brightness wise when compared to galaxy s9 plus, not to mention vividness. I will return the 6t and get a note 9 probably

Actually the Note's "performance mode" is related to the display. So when you turn on performance mode it's going to turn the display to 2K resolution and activate the video enhancer. So, in theory it's not a performance mode at all, the real performance mode on the Note is "Game mode".
I'm with the Note 9 since the beggining and its has the same speed as the first day, and I'm a heavy user. Really, love it, but also the OP6T its a great option!
Water proofing is a big deal! Cost a lot to fix, and the fact that I never need to worry about water is great. S pen is a great future witch you can find only in the note line. Then you have Samsung pay which I use daily. Finally you have much more functions on the N9 vs other phones. Sure pure android is nice, but once you install lots of apps then it's not so pure any ways

It's the calibration. Galaxys are notorious to ship with displays way out of calibration. You can get the whites to look a little more pure by adjusting the color temperature slider in the settings but sometimes the calibration is too far off to be fixed using the RGB/color temperature settings. You can see the difference easily at 3:10.
+Worb ! You Note 9 braindead bandwagons dont even know the resolution of your phone ! its 516ppi for 6,4", which is not so good. The XZ3 resolution trashes your Note 9 resolution. The One + also beats your Note 9 resolution. Deal with it finally
You have to bear in mind that Samsung limits maximum manual display brightness indoors to about 450nits, but can reach 700 nits when outdoors, whereas OnePlus phones can only reach about 450 nits in any conditions
Speed is not everything acc to me, personally I think Samsung's overall build quality is simply top notch on its flagship note line, and one plus scores really well on speed. Over all both are so good and I will go with the Note line always

Loving my oneplus 6t, the speed is amazing on this phone, and the battery life is fantastic.
I own both phones. Both are amazing, run great, but I prefer the One Plus 6t due to it's simplicity.
